Liana at Steadfast told me repeatedly that my taxes would be done by a certain time. This gave her ultimately about 5 weeks to take care of them for an October 15th deadline, outside of the busy season. She not only failed to deliver on that, but didn't even bother to warn me, or even acknowledge - let along apologize for - the fact that she didn't do what she said she would do. Instead, *days* after she had said the taxes would be filed and I had followed up to be like I haven't heard from you and you said they'd be done today, what happened, she emailed to say we would "speak tomorrow" (rather than exercising professionalism/common courtesy in asking if that was cool with me/my schedule). ...and then I never heard from her again. It's one of the worst professional experiences I've had. Thankfully, because it became clear that she was very bad at her job, I made other arrangements and was able to get the taxes filed on time. WOW what a treat!!! I was already dreading the trip to the DMV for a personalized license plates transfer. Then by accident I found that my tax lady provides vehicle registration services. A quick visit to her office, and two esspressos later, walked out with new tags, new registration and she even took care of the old plates to send to the DMV for me. Liana is amazing. It was super easy to make an appointment with her and work with her! I started a business last year and it was my first time doing taxes and it's nerve-wrecking to first time business owners.
