Really enjoyed this Steak 'n Shake. The young lady taking our order was patient and attentive, even when we made a mistake and had to change our order, she was sweet about it. When we reached the window, the young man was equally nice. The food was hot and tasted good. We decided to go back through for more milkshakes. I saw some low reviews, but I didn't experience any of the issues mentioned. We have a family of four and everyone enjoyed what they got. read more

Well this sure isn't what we were expecting. We didnt get a good impression from the start - Two entrance doors with only one unlocked. You cant sit down at the table and place your order - You have to place your order at the counter, by looking over 2 menus that are taped to the counter top. There was a pretty good sized fly that kept landing on the menus, which didnt give a great impression since it was by the kitchen. The burgers looked to be pre-made, and then they place them on the griddle when ordered. I thought they were always made fresh By 8:30 they were locking the doors so people are only able to go through the drive thru. Was asked 3 separate times if I wanted cheese on the burger. My answer stayed the same each time. Supposed to be open 24x7 but they close that at 11 from what we were told. Apple Pay (NFC) didnt work. We sat at our table and waited about 12 minutes. Food was delivered in a bag. The burgers seem much smaller than they used to be, but were tasty, as well as the fries, which is why this review got the 2 stars instead of 1. Standing in line, I watched as chaos ensued as customers fended and tended for themselves in getting their orders that were lined up on the counter. No staff assistance given. Counter ordering and pickup in to go bags are now in. This 85 year old burger chain offering steakburgers and shakes continues its nostalgic throwback with its furnishings, fixtures and music straight out of the fifties. This location has a worn, tired feel to it. Prices offer a bang for your buck, as a number of meals are under four dollars. My Original Double 'n Cheese Steakburger was two nicely grilled beef patties, cheese and all the toppings. A small side of shoestring fries came with it. Went through the drive through and we ordered 4 chili cheesy fries they only got two of them correct so we pulled around and took the food back in to get it corrected since we paid the price of two chili cheese fries. We told them the issue and instead of remaking it they only brought out 2 small things of cheese and 2 small things of chili which wasn't even enough to cover the amount of fries nor was it what we paid for. We were coming back from vacation and stopped at this Steak n Shake location in Georgia. We went inside to place our order instead of going through the drive though. The restaurant was very clean and the cashier who took our order was very pleasant. Our steak burgers were delicious but I was disappointed in the fries . They were crispy which is not the norm for Steak n Shake. They usually are more like McDonalds fries which are softer. They must have over cooked them. My husband had a chocolate shake and it was perfect. Normally I would give Steak n Shake a 5 star rating but since the fries were just okay I rated this location a 4 star. read more

As far as Steak and Shakes go this one is pretty good it is clean it is busy food was fresh and deliver at the right temperature and correctly. The service is friendly. We ordered the taco salad and it was fresh and on point. I ordered the white truffle mushroom specialty Burger it comes with a side of fries. the bun was soft and toasty the meat was fresh n tender topped with mushrooms onions and cheese melted and was served at the right temperature. I have no complaints. We also use a BOGO coupon for a specialty Shake so we were able to get two fresh banana strawberry specialty shakes for $3.89. My food was cold ! The cheese didn't even melt on my burger . The shake was milky and not even close to frozen . The waitress was not very attentive ... and then they refused to split our check for 3 families . Our bill was $82 and took honestly 20 min for them to split the bill at the register and then got it wrong . Going on 30 minutes waiting on a meal got to the window after waiting forever just to be told to pull up because they were having to remake my order and I heard the cook being told to take the bacon of an already made burger I'm assuming mine so that they could hurry up and get it out. I will be posting another review if my food is cold or undercooked or wrong in any way. Never have I had such a horrible experience here and without even a sincere apology for their mistake. And no matters who's burger they are removing the bacon from they have no idea if that person has beliefs that they can't even bacon for so to give them something that has touched bacon is just wrong, so the job correctly the first time and you won't have the trouble. read more

We were traveling through the area a few days ago and got takeout here. With COVID we've found it difficult in many areas to get fast food since we have a travel trailer and can't clear the drive through. I called on the phone and they were very friendly and helpful. Had a great experience here. Was seated quickly and the kids given activities to keep them busy till the food arrived. Which arrived pretty promptly . My carry out order took an unnecessarily 15 minutes long. I only received my order once I finally went to the front where you place your order & asked if maybe they forgot my order if it was just held up to which they didn't want to embarrassingly admit , they either forgot or let sit , which made my patience go from tolerable to now thin. I kindly took my order and headed out only to realize they forgot a whole order of fries once I was inside my car. I mean c'mon now ... I'd understand if I had a significantly large order but I ordered one meal .. one meal & an additional medium fry that I guess was hard to remember. I use to work fast food so I have patience , tolerance & understandings for simple mishaps or slip ups but this was just kinda poor. I don't know what has happened to them! They used to be fast, food was hot, order was correct. Now....it is a crap shoot! I ordered the chicken sandwich. Bit into it and thought, something is not right. Maybe it was over cooked and tough. NO. It was raw. UNCOOKED CHICKEN! And, I have Lupus. Which means I have a compromised immune system.
