I drove through the drive thru and got 2 grilled cheeses and a coke as I was leaving I checked the bag the grilled cheese were not even hot I didn't mind that I ordered lain because I can remove the pickles I went back around and told them the gentleman said the manager said I had to come in I told them I didn't have time he relied that the manager said she wasn't coming out she didn't have time I left upset at this time and drove around the food city taking lot and kept getting more angry I went back over I was on the home with the hubby and I asked for the manager she came there I asked her name she said I didn't need to know it!!!!! I showed her the sandwiches she looked at them and said nothing was wrong with them!!!!! I have pics of the sandwiches she threw them in the garbage she was yelling and being rude the entire time she said that corporate said not to melt the cheese she finally told me her name was Georgia I'm not sure she was telling the truth she didn't have a name tag on my hubby was on the phone and heard the conversation she should never talk to anyone like that and food should never be sold cold and managers should never be so rude I will never go back there and I definitely will tell them how I was done!!!! read more

Just as good as any Steak n Shake anywhere else. The food and service is great every time I come in or go through the drive through. Great that kids eat free with an adult entree too. All good experiences so far, and I'll keep coming back! Glad we finally have one here in Hazard! read more

My wife, me, my daughter and my grandkids all went here the Thursday before Christmas at 6:15 in the evening. Some genius in management decided that it would be a great idea to have Santa in the restaurant that seats 96 people. We were not aware that he was even there since the restaurant was packed and we were seated in the front of the restaurant and they had Santa in the back . People kept opening the side door and the cold air was blasting us every five minutes as they brought their kids in that door and the front door too. We were there over an hour before we got anything to drink. People started seating themselves after they seen Santa. I felt sorry for the waitresses since it was total chaos when people failed to return to the hostess stand to be seated. Then to make matters worse the table in front of us and the one behind us got all food and drinks and we were left with just our drinks for another half hour and we were there first, we watched them eat their food while we had none. Finally we ordered and almost two hours after we arrived most people had left. I usually don't complain about some waiting but this is ridiculous. I finally got to talk to an assistant manager and told her what happened, I told her this was an unacceptable since we eat there often. She agreed and gave us a five dollar coupon for our next visit. Today me and my wife went there today and got two full price meals and got our drinks for 99 cents for happy hour. When my wife went to pay it took forever, and when we were leaving she told me that they couldn't ring it up until they charged us FULL PRICE FOR THE DRINKS!!!
