It was a blessing to eat Steak 'n Shake in the dining room. In our home state of Indiana, most ate closing down completely. The remaining ones are Drive thru only. Service was great!! What a great addition to the city of Paris. I grew up here when there wasn't even a Taco Bell and the best thing on the block was Hardee's or Dairy Queen. Although both are gone I see now they are also getting a new Hardee's in addition to this place up the road from here. Anyway, on to the review, fresh modern look, great friendly servers, clean store, damn tasty burgers, those cool little shoestring fries made for great lunch with my Pops and Brother. I had the new Cajun Burger and it was pretty fantastic. The sauce kind of reminded me of "Zax Sauce" from an unnamed competitor except spicier. The bun was lightly buttered on top with a coating of Cajun spices. Great flavor! Top it off with the check being $15.29 for three grown men's lunch!!!! Score! When you need something cheap and casual, but still want a full meal, this is the place to go. Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's cheap. But every time I'm there, it's clean, the food is hot (except the ice cream), and the service is spot on. The server we have most often is Chantal? And she is awesome. Back to the ice cream, the shakes are awesome. The only thing that could make them better would be to have the peppermint shakes year round. Seriously! read more

We ate here while visiting from out of town. We waited about 30 minutes for a table but there was 7 of us so that was to be expected. It was also Saturday night. Our server immediately already looked stressed and overwhelmed at the fact she had another large table but she seemed to loosen up when she realized we weren't going to give her a hard time. She did express surprise though that our order was correct when she brought it out to us. The food was great and we all had a great time together. Food is great, service is ok... they act like napkins are worth their weight in gold, I have had 3 visits here in the last month and every time I ask for extra napkins they say I already have some in the bag. once there wasn't and the other two times there was one or two napkins. 1 star for being stingy with $0.01 napkins. 5 stars for tasty burgers. I will update rating if they get better about napkins and ketchup. read more

The food here is just the food you come to expect, if they actually get your order right. We came in with a group of 6 and a baby, and the whole time was just a nightmare. It took about 45 minutes to get our food to us, and there were two other tables in the entire place. It would be understandable if the place was busy, but that amount of time is simply unexplainable. I'm not sure if I'm just a city slicker that's used to a faster pace of life, but I know when something is completely wrong. When one of our orders came our wrong, our waitress argued that he had ordered something different. Nothing was remedied and nobody working cared. Very disappointing. read more

Some of my fellow Yelpers don't agree with 5 stars for a quick-service chain restaurant but I grade restaurants if they deliver on whatever level they exist. This place delivered. Went here on Thanksgiving day and Christmas Day for morning coffee (please offer breakfast on C.D.!) and they couldn't have been any friendlier. Coffee was hot and fresh and service was good. This was a standard Steak n Shake, which for me is pretty good. Went in with 4 boys on the way to camp and they were hungry! I've found that the Jamaican Jerk Double Burger is the best deal, but it's very onion-y and fairly spicy...order at your own risk. Also, get one of the $4 deals. The expensive burgers on the main menu aren't really any better. This location was clean, the service was slow, and there was not even a hint of WiFi (which wouldn't matter if there was Sprint service...). It's still a good deal for the money, though. read more

Very, very, very disappointed in this new restaurant. My uncle and I visited late Sunday evening to find the place trashed; food on the floor, tables filthy, and we were the only customers! It took a long time to get our food, even though there were over ten employees standing around, checking their phones. When our food finally arrived my uncle's burger was over salted and the fries were ice cold! My portion of 5-way chilli was extremely small... I remember saying, "Look, I know I'm a young woman, but I eat more than a small child does. Come on!" When we left my uncle asked why the place was so filthy, to which an employee said "We just got our a**es handed to us!" and complained about the Church crowd. Needless to say, as much as I love Steak 'n Shake, I more than likely won't be frequenting this one as much as I had hoped for. read more

I ordered 2 grilled cheese with parm fries. The fries were great, but the grilled cheese should have been called grilled bread as it was missing the cheese on half the sandwich. This was the case on both sandwiches. I won't be back. Service was friendly, but slow, and considering they didn't have to put cheese on the sandwich it should have been faster. read more

Pancakes don't need to be brown to be edible! Golden on both sides, tender and cooked inside. But please, not brown on the outside! Service was great, but my simple pancake breakfast was a disappointment. read more

Went there for the first time woth my fiance.. i got the royal burger that has bacon and a fried evg on top all i can say is omg. Food amazing.. service was over the top. Giving recommendations upon reuest as i had not ever been to one. Told me i made the perfect choice. The fries i got wth parmesan herb i was not impressed with those but overall great place to eat. Decently tasty food for the price but painfully slow and inattentive service on a very slow night. This was the 2nd time of slow and inattentive service over the last 4 months. At 1:40, I purchased the $4 meal via drive thru. Fries were okay but not fresh or hot and not crispy but "okay" and I told the cashier. She just looked at me. Since I knew I would not eat many anyway, I let it go but I do love hot fresh fries. I drive way, open my burger and it is lukewarm, at best. Since the burger was going to be my meal, I went back through the drive thru. I explained the problem and there not a problem, I just heard to drive up. BUT when I pulled up the window, the first words out of her mouth was, "you can't tell me this food is not hot". She did not apologize for the inconvenience, etc. etc. Terrible service. I BIT my tongue, I wanted to go inside to the see the manager but I did not want my food to get cold. I ate a "so so" burger, I didn't eat the luke warm fries. I do not live in the area so a Steak 'n Shake stop is a treat. NOT at this restaurant. read more

At lunch today I received a cold bun, cold burger, nice crisp pickle, and fries were OK. Wish I had time to go back and complain but, could not.
