This was our first time visiting and it DID NOT disappoint! The food was phenomenal! We ordered the stuffed chicken and the Brisket Sando. I'm not even sure how to describe how much flavor there was in each dish, and those truffle fries! Yum! The service was also top notch. It started with the host who apologized for the "long" wait. Haha! It was 2 minutes, if that. Our server was so kind and knowledgeable, she made dinner a pleasure, but beyond that, everyone on the floor was quick to jump if we needed anything. If there is one not-so-positive thing to say, it was the seating. Those flat board chairs are so uncomfortable, and the high-tops even more so. We accepted a high-top because that's what was available inside, (The weather was looking a bit iffy so we didn't want to eat outside) but me being on the shorter side, if the foot bar is too low, it's very uncomfortable. Luckily a small low-top became available about 10 minutes after we arrived, and thanks again to the stellar service, we were allowed to switch. It was really a minor inconvenience and next time we visit we'll know to ask for a low-top or sit at the bar with the nice padded seats. Overall it was absolutely a positive experience and we look forward to visiting again soon! read more

Came to Steam Mill again and it didn't not disappoint. I ordered the dry rub wings and the pork belly. Both came out crazy hot and fresh. Don't sleep on the dry rub spice!! My wife ordered a salad it was huge! The star of the show was the grilled cheese with Bluebery jam . I always prefer the upstairs seating, but it wasn't open yet. The staff here are so nice and friendly, the food here is absolutely amazing! My husband and I ended up coming back two days in a row while on vacation and couldn't recommend it enough! We got the bison burger, the backyard burger, the pumpkin spice lava cake the first trip. Second trip we got the butter chicken, the bbq pork sando, and the matcha beignets. My family and I came here for lunch this past weekend. It's a cute little place with decent food, but it took us well over an hour to get our meals: 3 salads and a burger. There was a group of six who was seated while we were eating our appetizer and they got their food and finished eating before we did. There was no explanation for the slow service by the waitress. What a great spot! We stopped in here while wandering around Bethel. Welcomed warmly by who I believe was the manager, who led us to a beautiful outdoor seating area. The beer here was SO. DAMN. GOOD. We got the blueberry beer and loved it so much we got a four pack to take home. Truly delicious and fresh beer. And they put blueberries in it! Gender neutral restroom and very clean. Overall super friendly staff. Note it is a little pricey, and they only do 12 oz pours, which kind of sucks. There's a food truck attached and I want to try it the next time I come! Came here again après ski. The food really is the best to be had for miles around, and the service is friendly and fast. Truly excellent nachos, crispy, juicy wings, and great in-house beers. A must-visit place for folks in town to enjoy the Bethel area, in or out of ski season. read more

Steam Mill Brewing was incredible! We called ahead to see if we could come with our pup and they said there was outdoor seating in an A frame, so we bundled up and headed there. When we arrived, they offered such great hospitality by setting up a heater and table for us in the A frame. Service was outstanding and the wait staff checked on us multiple times throughout the visit to see if we needed anything (and to give pets to the pup)! The food was great--recommend the Nashville chicken sandwich, Pho bowl, and even a burger for the pup! Would definitely recommend this place and we will be coming back during our next trip to Sunday River! read more

Great beer, great people! We had a great time here sampling their seltzer flight and a good variety of their beers. The brewer and bartenders were super fun to talk to. Dogs are allowed out in the patio area and you can bring your own food. My favorites were the Whitecap Blueberry and the Lovers Lane IPA. 2 very fruity and refreshing beers on a nice fall day. Went here while a bunch of people we were with were skiing. You could bring a dog as long as you were outside which wasn't too bad since there was heaters out there. The huts were nice and cozy. The food was fantastic. We originally ordered pretzels, brussel sprouts and bao buns. All were excellent but the bao buns were AMAZING! We ended up going back and ordering 3 more. I could've eaten them all day! The seltzers were okay. The guys enjoyed their beers. When our friends were finished skiing some of them came and joined us. Great spot and very chill! We came here when we had dinner at Le Mu eats next door. Lots of seating space and very chill vibe. I see here comments about high price and small size of pours, maybe for the area it was pricy but visiting from Boston the price felt reasonable for the brew. We were finally able to get to the Bethel area to try the Steam Mill Brewing and it was definitely worth the wait. We sat at the bar and the service and atmosphere was excellent. We started with the Buffalo dip for an appetizer and it great! I ordered the Maple Butter Salmon for dinner and my wife had the Beet salad. The Salmon had amazing flavors and the presentation was perfect. The beet salad was a large portion of fresh ingredients and was absolutely delicious!!! Wow! I ordered the pho and drank every flavorful drop. It included a perfectly soft egg, pickled red onions, pea shoots, chili paste, jalapeños, Napa cabbage for accompaniments. The broth was rich and I would eat this every day if I could. My husband had the bao buns, my daughters had arancini and pulled pork tacos. The eclectic menu was right up our alley. I worry when I see that because I wonder how the chef can pull off all those cuisines equally, but they happily made me see that they can! The chicken and waffles - the waffles were so soft and fluffy and fresh, the chicken was yummy also. The service could be better, but it's hard right now I get it. But the beer situation.... Very small selection compared to every other bar we've been to this weekend. The waitress said the beer menu we were given was not accurate, after we already perused it and painstakingly chose a beer. Then I was told the one I wanted they didn't have anymore so I ended up with Smuttynose in a Bud Light glass. There also weren't enough choices of stronger beers to please my husband. read more

We ordered takeout from Le Mu in the same parking lot and saw that they shared an outdoor seating area with the brewery, so we ordered a couple beers and a flight of Hard Seltzers to enjoy with our meal. What a great treat! The White Cap Blueberry beer is light and refreshing with an amazing after taste. Loved that they offer seltzer flights- my fave was the Cherry Lime Raz. My sister's fave was the Cucumber. Spicy Pineapple is SPICY. If you are remotely weak, don't try it- your throat will be stunned. The coconut tastes just like coconut water. Service was outstanding! She was extremely friendly, checked on us regularly and even recommended a place for us to try for dinner. read more

Stopped in for a late snack and ordered truffle fries, sweet potato fries, and the huge pretzel. Ordered two beers and my wife and I shared a flight. Super nice staff and they were gearing up for live music and starting the outdoor fires. Really nice outdoor atmosphere. Stupid good sweet potato fries because they were very crispy and well seasoned. The truffle fries were good but not much truffle flavor. The pretzel looked good but had average flavor at best. We will go back but won't order the pricey beer flight. Everyone else's food looked delicious so we'll give it another try. read more
