The homemade bagels were fantastic. Crispy, chewy, fresh. 10/10 - no notes. GET A BAGEL! The bitro cold brew was rich and chocolatey and thick - so good! The ham and cheese croissant lacked the laminated layers we expect from quality croissants - and was almost overcooked. This one was a miss. The savory tarte was OK but lacked depth of flavor. I stopped in on my way home from Vermont based on the reviews and had a bagel with cream cheese and lox. The breakfast bagel was great. I then got a text that it was game night and that I would be bringing dessert. Dessert options were in a separate case. I ordered four cupcakes and three bread pudding and brought them to game night. While the desserts were pretty, No one ate more than one bite. They were not sweet, and everyone remarked how disappointing they were. I sent them an email the following day letting them know that I my crew was disappointed, and threw four of them away and three only had one bite. I waited and no response. So the review is a combination of a good bagel, bad dessert, and no response from the bakers I should've remembered the rule that you always try one before you buy more But my suggestion is enjoy the great pastry and bread and skip the dessert. read more

A must go to!!! Since fall is in the air we had the maple latte which was perfectly balanced! The scones were the perfect size. Made a substitution on the ham breakfast sandwich and used an everything bagel vice a baguette. It was a smart move and a schemer of cream cheese enhanced. This place has so much charm and character! Definitely can tell that this is the neighborhood place to be. My trip to experience this coffee shop was a little chaotic. This was busy, which is always good for small businesses. Lots of yummy goodness is available for you to try! Coffee is yummy but wish I could've tasted more of the blackberry vanilla syrup in my iced latte but nevertheless good coffee. Staff greeted us with smiling faces however it became slightly uncomfortable when a staff member rolled their eyes when they called my child a boy and I corrected them that "they" were not a boy. We tried the classic egg,cheddar and bacon on a croissant, and a lox, capers, red onion and cream cheese on a salted bagel, and we tried the blueberry scone, and the pear cardamom blueberry muffin, and a cherry hand pie. The food is outstanding. We went on a Sunday morning, got there around 9am, and by 9:05, the line was out the door and across the parking lot .The line moves fast so don't fret! We stopped here for breakfast before going to the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum (which is right across the street) and I'm glad we did. You could tell from how busy it was, that people like this place. To drink, I got a chai latte. It was a sweeter chai tea that was really tasty and had a nice layer of milk foam. I love that they used locally made mugs for the drinks (which you can also buy). To eat I got a chocolate chip pumpkin scone and an egg & cheddar bagel sandwich. The pastries were so good and tasted freshly baked. Absolutely the best danishes I've ever had in my life after traveling the world. Every item we tried on the menu is delicious and they even have gluten free! Espresso was great and their cups are made from a local potter and adorable! Manager is amazing; popping out her head when the cashier doesn't have the answer but in a polite way. That is how you run a successful business, not being aloof and popping in when needed. Everyone was very warm and kind. The vibe is perfect, always a parking spot or table outside despite how busy they are. We always get lucky! My waistline would be in trouble if I lived here but it will be forever missed when we leave! They rotate their bread thursday - monday, with different options like olive and honey wheat. They have pastries, sourdough bagels, brownies, any drink you can work up, and more. Have been there a few times for their bagels...always when we are up in the North Conway/Bethel/Gorham area. They have the best, chewiest bagels and I love them! They toast up really well and go perfect with a little cream cheese, or butter if you prefer. The place is small, but cozy, and they have a variety of other items. I wish my gluten-free husband could eat there, however, they do not offer any GF options so I only order to take home. Service is spot on, even where there is a line out the door. Passing through Bethel in need for some pastries, we stopped at this artisan bakery and were amazed by the friendliness of the staff, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the freshness of the bakery items. Stopped in for coffee and some snacks. While it's a small space, the place was mobbed and the line was to the door. The folks were very nice and helpful. The coffee was good and hot. Love that they had water glasses right at the counter. There were no tables, so we sat outside on the patio (a little cold but glad to have a seat). The New Yorker (Lox, tomatoes, capers, cream cheese, onion) was a very nice sandwich. They only had Gluten Free rolls left, but it was still a great sandwich. I had the pizza bread with lettuce, tomato and bacon with a great dressing. It was outstanding. We also got an eclair, and the cherry almond pastry. I was told they were both excellent, with the cherry almond pastry being "the best pastry I have ever had." I can't confirm this, because by the time I got back, it was all gone! We came on New Year's Eve morning for breakfast and we found ourselves standing in a line that went out the door The line moved relatively quickly, however, and we were able to snag a table right as someone else was leaving. We ordered: - two cappuccinos: delicious but wish they were even hotter. - carrot and feta scone: TASTY! I am a scone snob and I loved it. Perfect crumbly texture but not dry. Crusty corners. The carrot gave some sweetness and the feta gave some saltiness - salt bagels with smoked jalapeño cream cheese: TASTY! the bagels are delightfully crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. wish they were even fatter and with even more salt! the cream cheese had a pleasant spice level - there, but not too much. - soup: YUM! i forget what kind it was but it came with a dollop of yogurt and some zaatar sauce on top. very fresh and delicious. The staff: friendly and attentive. There were about 8 people working there as fast as they could. The owner/manager consistently circulated through the tables. He asked us how our food was and later offered to clear some plates away. The atmosphere: open, beautiful, homey. It used to be a bank I believe because there is a huge open vault door behind the coffee counter. High ceilings, white walls, and an open kitchen make it feel spacious. There is a little corner with a tiny couch and two soft chairs behind a coffee table. The rest of the seating is 2-top or 4-top wooden tables with farmhouse-style mismatched chairs. One thing I will say is that there are so many chairs that it's difficult just to slip between tables to get your coffee when it's ready. If I had a stroller in there I would have been stressed. It was also extremely busy which exacerbated the tight seating arrangement. There are some bistro tables outside, but it's not the season for that yet. Another note - they serve their for-here orders in/on beautiful handmade ceramics. It added a cozy touch! TL;DR Delicious, fresh, friendly, and beautiful. Went to Gemini for breakfast sandwiches...Baked goods looked fabulous. Ending up buying 2 Breakfast sandwiches (Which were EXCELLENT) a scone and a loaf of bread, and 2 cups of coffee. Every Item was SUPERB....can't wait to go back. Only one issue - Took a long wait to get the Breakfast sandwiches. Seems like they need to get an additional fast order cook, and or more capacity for cooking items. When we left there were 18 people in line to order...this was Sat morning at 9:00AM in July 2023.
