What an adorable cafe! We stopped in before we headed home to have coffee and breakfast. We arrived at a quiet point in the morning rush, but they do get very busy! Service is friendly and fast though even when they're packed. I had a turmeric maple latte which was unique and delicious. Along with that I had the Mountain Mama sandwich which had an egg, hummus, goat cheese, and vegetables on a super soft English muffin. It was delicious! My husband had a hummus bagel with cucumbers and tomato and it was a great light start to the day. We also tried a ham and cheese croissant which was good. It was the softer bread style croissant and had chopped rosemary ham and cheese which was delicious, I only wished there was more of it! I brought a maple molasses cookie and a butterscotch cookie home. They were both so delicious and chewy! My only criticism is I wish there was a touch more salt, but I'm nitpicking. While I was in town for a wedding, I stopped by this bakery--and I'm so glad I did. Their cupcakes are incredible. The wedding we attended featured them, and after trying a few, I knew I had to visit the shop myself. They're perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and genuinely some of the best I've had. Their coffee is solid--definitely the best you'll find in this small town--and they offer a surprising variety of avocado toast options, all fresh and really thoughtfully put together. On top of that, the people who work here are so kind. It feels like the sort of place where everyone is happy to see you walk in. Was in Jackson, New Hampshire for my 10 year anniversary and we stumbled upon this amazing joint. Not only does the exterior have such a welcoming vibe but when you walk in the door you enter a world or cafe and cakes fantasy. The smells, sights and succulent food was something that was highlight of this trip. The staff was so welcoming and even gave us a little treat when we let them know it was our anniversary! We try to visit Autumn Nomad weekly to say Hi to the friendly staff and enjoy our favorite hot drinks, soups and sandwiches. They make a delicious Moroccan Lentil Soup, Turkey with cranberry roll ups, Avocado toast with yummy toppings and amazing selection of bakery options. I have been looking at pictures of this place for a week now, hoping I would happen to get the chance to try something from this place. As it would happen, we got to visit around breakfast and we got an amazing breakfast sandwich: Sausage, Egg and Cheese on a Croissant. This place is gorgeous inside, but def looks like it's really made for a special occasion...they make all kinds of wonderful baked goods and coffee, but they seem to specialize in incredible cakes! We saw one being brought outside to be photographed. While I was there I couldn't help but get a cookie to sample later...and it too was amazing of course. Winding down on an incredible week in/around the White Mountains, this was a nice treat but I will say this one thing that caught me by surprise, that breakfast sandwich was $13!!! Cute little hidden bakery right off route 16. I was ordering a birthday cake for my husbands surprise weekend getaway and the folks on the phone couldn't have been any nicer helping me choose what to get him. We ended up picking up the cake and having a slice right in the bakery - they brought over plates, a cutting knife and a lighter for the candles I bought, which was so thoughtful. The banana foster cake itself had excellent flavor - chunks of banana throughout. The frosting is a bit tough right out of the fridge, but if you let it sit out and come to room temp, it's great! The cake we ordered (which was the smallest offered) was $35, which is a bit pricy compared to other bakeries, but I love giving back to local businesses that deserve it and this place does - it will be on my list for when I return to try their soups and sandwiches! read more

We have eaten here dozens of times over the last several years. The drinks and food have always been great and the staff kind & helpful. The indoor space is fun & cozy and the outdoor patio is great in nice weather. We are leaving the review now because we finally tried their lunch offerings and were blown away. We don't tend to be impressed by sandwiches, but the Amalfi Coast and the Chicken Salad were both superb as was the Nomad Avocado Toast! read more

Not only is the cafe such a cool vibe, but the staff have always been incredibly kind and welcoming. Came here while on a foliage road trip and ordered the local maple latte and the breakfast tacos. The maple latte tasted a bit burnt when it came out so I politely told the person working and he was SO kind and immediately made a new drink for me. When I got the new drink he then said again "please make sure it tastes right, I want it to be perfect so we can make it again if it's not." The drink was delicious the second time around! I never received my Breakfast tacos and once again the employee was so apologetic and refunded me my money for the tacos even though I insisted not to and they were brought out so quickly (they were also veryyy good). As we were leaving he came over with lemon ricotta cookies for us complimentary for all of the trouble and apologized again. Everything was delicious and the service was above and beyond!!!! This has probably been the best breakfast I've had anywhere the cinnamon roll was cooked to perfection it wasn't overcooked or undercooked it was just right that's what my honey had just now for a late breakfast. I had the smokehouse breakfast sandwich every product was local plus they made the croissants in house. Everything was cooked to order it took about five minutes the bacon was tender not crispy so I could eat it. It came with local cheddar cheese as well as the bacon. The onions were caramelize more local farm the eggs were also local it was a perfect location to come for breakfast. The coffee was just right it we got the dark roast it had no bitterness to it it was sweet but no sugar in it the servers were out of this world the owner Keith was the man that was cooking breakfast this morning everything was perfect we sat outside ate a breakfast overlooking the local school the town common and the river absolute all-around great experience wish we had more time up here to eat here more often. This is truly what I would label as the hidden jewel here in Jackson New Hampshire because no one in this world would find it but if you go up past Storyland to the next big intersection and take a right hand turn go under the covered bridge and then go straight for 1 mile it's right next-door to the Jackson grammar school in the same plaza with the post office. read more

Where to begin. I love the way this place looks, it's decorated with care, and I personally loved the different seating arrangements. There is plenty to buy here, cards, hot sauce, jewelry, soap, and even some food and drink items to go. The food was spectacular. I had the J&K, and it was the best sandwich I've ever had from a cafe. The ingredients were so fresh, flavorful, and the bread was so nicely toasted. I kept saying "wow". Amazing doesn't do the cakes at Autumn Nomad justice. They are exquisite! I want to plan a wedding just to do a cake tasting and purchase the cake from them! I'm not sure how long they've been here as I remember a different bakery in previous years (I'm mainly in this area to do the pumpkin people circle this time of year). The decor is fun. I really liked the theme and it felt so comfy to relax and eat. They have a nice selection of bakery items and foods like soup. Plus, loads of coffees. They carry Atomic Coffee (which is a local brand to me so I was surprised to see it in Jackson) and that coffee means business. You know you're in the right kind of place when you ask the woman behind the counter for her gooiest, most chocolatey slice of cake and she immediately hands you a massive piece of decadent chocolate cake. OMG. No words can describe accurately how amazing this was in each bite. I think there was coffee in there. And some sort of rum. Whatever was in the chocolate the entire piece was pure magic in your mouth. I cannot recommend highly enough! The iced coffee was also spectacular and an awesome creation. White chocolate salted caramel. It packed a real punch (says the person still wide awake on a caffeine high and cleaning her kitchen hours later at midnight). So much chocolate and caffeine. I simply couldn't eat there daily, although my house probably would never be cleaner. If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop and have some coffee and cake. It'll make your week!
