The only reason I give them a four instead of a five star review is due to the small in-house selection; I understand the reasons why, but I wish they had a little bigger showroom with more lighting displays. This is where I think this particular store in The Avenue gets it right. They educate the consumer first and then let you decide. For example do you know why a person would use a stainless steel sauce pan as opposed to a non-stick? I didn't when I came here. I just thought it was a personal preference...apparently it's more than that...its about what you're cooking...but that's what's great about this store is that the folks here will explain all of this stuff to you without any pretentious snobbiness or judgement. In fact many years ago I bought my first big girl chef's knife here after I spent 20 minutes with a very nice sales person. (I previously had been using a $8 knife that I thought I bought from a street vendor.) I still use it everyday and it still cut like I bought it just the other day...so that old saying you get what you pay for is true in this case.
