From the beginning, as I'm walking in they have a sign with my name on it outside by the front door. I ONLY looked here when getting my dress, just by their website I knew this was the place for me. Everything was so elegant and beautiful, they had drinks waiting for me and all my bridesmaids when we walked in and a beautiful selection of jewelry to try on/ you can also purchase while trying on. It was a dream. They had every single kind of dress. The first dress I tried on fit so perfectly, it was straight out of the box so I was the first one trying it on. I only tried on two more and didn't need to see any more. The first one was IT and I couldn't believe I found my DREAM dress so fast. Absolutely incredible. The very sweet girl working there, Renee became like my bestfriend and I was immediately comfortable around her and she really made it 5 star service. She was able to get custom made sleeves that matched my dress here in time for my wedding, in under 2 months. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, because it was that amazing. I don't ever think to leave reviews but this one just had to be left. First of all, when they found out my wedding timeline, 97 days from engagement, they immediately messaged us and got us in sooner so I would have better lucky ordering dresses and not have to be stuck with picking dresses off the rack. When it came to picking dresses for me she only brought me dresses that could be ordered within my timeline to save me any potential heartache of loving a dress and not being able to get it. Mackenzi was literally amazing, every bride deserves to have someone that attentive and kind and patient helping them to get the perfect dress. I came in with almost no idea what I wanted and she worked hard to find what I liked within my price range and timeline. she was so attentive to me the whole time watching for my likes and dislikes and when I really needed it and asked for it, she gave me the feedback I needed to make the right choice. I cried in my dress 3 times and I didn't expect to cry. Also, the place is adorable, it literally is a cottage, not just a clever name. Starting with walking up to the front door and seeing my name written on the sign and then walking through the whole appointment where I just felt so pampered. My day at Kate's Bridal Cottage was absolutely wonderful. I came in with 12 of my closest ladies and they accommodated us all so well with professionalism and huge smiles. We felt right at home and cozy in their beautiful new space. It is so open and has a ton of natural light pouring in. If that's not enough the giant adjustable light mirror in the fitting room is very cool too! Kate and Mackenzie (apologies if I misspelled that) were so genuine and really helpful in finding the perfect dress for me. I was in the unique position of wedding planning and wedding dress shopping during the COVID pandemic. Kate was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, starting with communication around having to reschedule my appointment, the expectations about what the appointment would look like, and also reassuring that we would find the perfect dress. There was a sign out front welcoming me to the store, and Kate and McKenzie were waiting inside with great big smiles (even though they had to wear masks, they socially distanced and showed us their faces so we knew who we were interacting with!). I'm newly engaged and new to the area and let me tell you, I am SO HAPPY and blessed to have found Kate's Bridal Cottage!!!!! I searched the top 10 wedding dress shops in my area and made appointments at two of them, one being Kate's Bridal Cottage. My mom and sister joined me for my appointment (all of my bridesmaids live in different states) and we were all so touched to see the sign on the front porch congratulating me. Such a warm gesture that goes a long way. McKenzie greeted us and I immediately felt at ease. I didn't have much of an idea as to what style of dress I wanted as I'm drawn to everything. LOL. After answering some questions it became apparent to me that I did have an idea of what I want but I also told McKenzie I'm open to trying anything she suggests. Off to the fitting room I went. I felt so comfortable the whole time. I cried after trying on the first dress and was confident that we had found "the one". McKenzie had tissue ready for me. My mom, sister and cousin (via FaceTime) loved the dress as well! Then I peeked at the other dresses McKenzie pulled and thought, ok ok, I'll try those on too just to make sure this is "the one". I think I tried on 8 dresses before crying again over a different dress. How could it be that two dresses made me cry?!? I'm an emotional gal by nature but is this how wedding dress shopping is supposed to be? The fact is, wedding dress shopping isn't supposed to be any sort of way. I found two dresses that I loved and one that I was on the fence about. Now it was time to figure out which of the three I liked the best. I tried them all on again and was able to take the first dress that made me cry off of the list. After pairing it down to two dresses, McKenzie picked a veil and handed me a bouquet. She walked me through the cottage to the different lighting areas to see the dresses as they would look during the daytime, dusk and evening. What a cool concept! I had never heard of this before. Again, going the extra mile to make sure you as a bride are completely happy with your purchase. I ended up picking the second dress that made me cry. My mom, sister and cousin were all so happy with the experience as well. The dress options available seemed endless and McKenzie nailed it! I couldn't have imagined a better experience and I hope that everyone would get a chance to have that same feeling! None of us thought that I would find "the dress" the first time going to shop but I am so glad I did! I ended up cancelling my other appointment and had no regrets about it.
