Because of that, I tolerated all kinds junk fees, hassles, and nonsense, all because I was so glad to have the safe deposit box. Well guess what? After just a couple of years, they told me that they are just stealing back all the safe deposit boxes anyway. If I had known they were going to do that, I never would have paid all those junk fees to stay with Chase, plus I never even got a prorated refund for the rent I had already put toward the box. This is a brazen scam, and I will be submitting it to a class action law firm.
