This is an update to my previous review. I have since spoken with Jenny, one of the owners. She became aware of my emails only after seeing the review. The "clientcare" email isn't monitored so she's having it removed. As far as my concerns about feeling unprotected and stumbling into this mess, she explained they don't have access to previous transactions not involving their own company. That meant they did not see previous inspections showing the need for repairs. With that in mind, she'll ask agents and inspectors to be more assertive about the potential buyer having a full and complete inspection report before signing anything. So I'm changing my review back to 5 stars because Emmy was amazing, and the owner was responsive once she knew of the problem. I met with Jenny Turner and her associate Jill Saucedo to get a feel for how they work and was able to clearly communicate what I was looking for and felt confident that they could guide me through the process. I absolutely would not recommend this agent or agency as seller or buyer. BEWARE!! Jennifer Turner has caused significant impacts to our schedule due to the title company chosen and is not being flexible whatsoever. Every time something came up, we just had to deal with it. If you have a choice in who sells your property or who you buy from, spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Terrible customer service in my opinion. read more

Briefly met the owner when she looked at our house. Very negative experience with her making comments that were rude and frankly hurtful. When my realtor tried to give her the feedback, she stated she would refuse to show our house. Selling your home is stressful enough when you are letting go of memories. Having a "professional" imply your house is not good enough is unnecessary. We all know that any particular house does not fit the needs of everyone, and there is a professional way to say that. read more

But, I think they particularly shine as realtors who help you purchase a home. Mike Richardson was our broker and helped us find a home that was perfect for us! We were first time home buyers looking for a newly constructed home On the first day of looking at houses we found one that we loved which we bought. Mike was very knowledgable about new construction and materials used in the homes. The good and the bad. He walked us through the whole process and when we had any questions and he was very quick to get back to us with a response. There were a few issues that arose with the new home in which Mike negotiated a few upgrades from the builder for us. As a potential buyer offering thousands over list price, Jenny was slow to respond and unprofessional in tone via email. She obviously under-priced the listing to begin with and failed to respond by the offer deadline. In the end, we were glad to walk away, as we wouldn't want our money going into her pocket. I just closed on my first home with the help of Jenny and the Turner Team. I started the process with pretty much zero knowledge of what to expect. Jenny was referred to me through a mutual friend and there is no doubt that she was the right realtor for me. We started the process at a local coffee shop (...how Portland) and she talked me through the entire home buying process. At this point, I wasn't even pre-approved, hadn't decided between a townhouse, condo, or single family home, and didn't really have an area of town picked out. Needless to say, its great to have a patient realtor. I don't even know how many homes we checked out, but with every house Jenny was honest about the good and bad aspects of each property. I never once felt like she was there to make a sale, but rather wanted to make sure the property was the right one. The market in Portland is insane, and unfortunately my budget wasn't unlimited so the search for the perfect place can be frustrating. We eventually found it, got the offer accepted, and I'm now a proud first time home owner. I believe I got a great house in a great location and I'm confident the investment potential.
