I had a meeting with another plastic surgeon in Del mar, California. His estimate was startling and well beyond what I could afford. I then went to see Dr. Lichtenberger and he explained to me that I didn't need to undergo unnecessary procedures to get what I was looking for. Instead, he felt that I could attain a natural look and that's exactly what he did for me at a reasonable cost. The office staff at Life Aesthetic Center, including Erin, Debbie and Dana, made me feel so much at home and so comfortable while undergoing the initial consultation, the preoperative appointment and finally the procedure and follow-up appointments, putting me at ease with lots of great information. Dr. Lichtenberger is one of the most sincere, patient and truly caring people I have ever met. He is an outstanding listener, and I never felt like I was asking a stupid question. Despite my nervousness prior to the procedures, he said that was normal and on the day of my procedures, he put me at ease the entire time. His surgical staff was also top-notch and I am grateful to them as well. We here in Bellingham are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Lichtenberger in our community. After four months I called back and asked Brenda if I could get a consultation with one of the doctors, she then rudely while I was still speaking put me on hold. When she came back she said she didnt have a referral from a doctor. I then tried to explain that I had the Xrays and visits to the chiropractor, she then said I would also need 12 months of documentation from a doctor. I was shocked since I wasn't told that before. She said that it was required by my insurance. I immediately called my insurance where they told me it was not a requirement I even had the insurance rep call Brenda. When the insurance lady called me back she was stunned how Brenda was acting even though she explained to her that a year of documentation was not a requirement. I sincerely hope that the doctors know what a disservice this woman is doing for their business. I have read other reviews that are not good. I will not only not be going to this office but I will tell everyone I know what a bad experience I had.

It can be hard to find street parking in front of his office, but there is a small parking lot behind the building (off the back lane) that usually has a visitor spot available (in my limited experience). His in-office appointments were about 30 minutes behind both times I went so probably a good idea to phone first to see if he's on time.

My primary physician retired in 2021 and since then I have been passed onto 7 Drs. The most recent lasted for 6 months, then went to another clinic, where she stayed for 6 weeks and then moved to White Rock. I never asked to be transferred with her and didn't want to be transferred with her however it appears they forwarded prescriptions, test results etc to her without asking me. Upon leaving her 2nd clinic, she advised her patients that there was a new Dr. at Seymour Health that agreed to take patients that she had seen from that clinic. Apparently, that is not the case!!! Upon calling the clinic I was told they had not approved that message and I'd have to come in through the walk-in clinic, assuming my records did not get sent away to a clinic where I never wanted or intended them to be. Can't express my extreme disappointment enough.

Staff turnover is high, which may indicate a negative job experience for them. It's virtually impossible to get a face-to-face appointment The reception area feels like a hotel, not a medical clinic The care is uncaring, brusque, and perfunctory. There is no time for getting to know my "provider". I feel like a cog in a health care machine and miss the personal care I used to get from my doctor before he retired. And feel guilty for complainigg, because at least I have a doctor.
