I had a friend that were quoted 2 months for just a kitchen, that ended up being without a kitchen for 6 months. Travis had our whole house done to where we could move in, in just over two months. There were several obstacles - hard to find items, cabinets that the supplier kept "promising", even our dryer vent ended up being too small outlets and wire that were hard to find. He was great at problem solving and found us another cabinet supplier when the other was dragging and built the cabinets themselves for us due to timing! I'd like to be writing a positive review however this is not. I contacted DBRC on 3/06/2022…read morethrough Yelp and received a reply from Trey and we scheduled an appointment for 3/10/2022. I met a gentlemen by the name of Howard Breen who represented himself as owner of the company. We talked about my budget of $ 30K and spent several hours talking through what I wanted to have done. He took measurements and a video of each room. He shared a bit about himself, his divorce and how he is running the business with his daughters and how he believes in being transparent and treats others with kindness and respect. He left saying we can make this happen and he would work up the bid that night. I let him know that I was not in a hurry and I would be ok with the following Monday. I did not hear from Howard or anyone from DBRC on Monday, I called him several days later and his voice mail was full so I sent a text. I did not hear back from Howard. I sent Trey a text on 3/16/2022 mentioning this to him. He apologized for the "lack of communication" and mentioned they were backed up. He said he would have an estimate to me in 2 to 3 days. I said I understand and I am ok waiting as long as I can be kept informed. I messaged him the next day and asked if he might share photos of projects they have completed and references that I could look at while waiting. I did not receive a reply from Trey or an estimate in 2 to 3 days. It's 3/24/2022 and I have not heard from Trey or Howard. I am surprised based on the conversation Howard and I had when meeting and I am not surprised based on the general reputation of contractors. I thought DBRC was different based on my initial contact with Trey and meeting with Howard. Part of running a business is having processes in place to keep your customers informed. Most everyone is willing to wait if they know what is going on especially now with supply chain issues. Maybe the job size and priority of all the work they have going on they decided they did not want to bid the job. If that were the case, they could have just told me. If Howard over promised and they could not deliver, they could have told me that as well. I completed research on DBRC as part of my process in selecting a contractor and learned that their contractor license is relatively new as of the end of last year. So I searched under Howard Breen only to find his previous license status as revoked and quite a bit of information in public records about him. I do believe we all can change and move beyond experiences in life however it all starts with our ability to change behavior. I hesitated in writing this review however I know I would appreciate knowing this information if I was considering hiring DBRC as a contractor.

He does his own work with supervision of subs and his perfectionist behavior is reflected in every way. We had him gut a house and redo bedrooms, baths, kitchen -all of it. He subs the tile, paint and flooring but does most electrical, plumbing etc himself. Why - "so it is done right" as he tells u. Make a list of what u want, he does it. I have never had a contractor who meets u at the tile place and gives hints as to what works etc. He has a sense of colors and style most men don't have and because he does your job, he knows what fits and not. Because he tore your house apart, he knows how it will fit to put it back the way u want. He subs cabinets but installs himself so they r done right and when doors came a little wrong in maybe look, he ordered a new one as 'he' did not like the look. This company is for real. As long as u know what u want and tell him, it will b yours or he will help u understand why something else would b better.
