Here is the appointment card from my scheduled appointment in case you don't believe my review!

I am furiously writing this from the parking lot after this is the second appointment that was canceled or told does not exist. How... how does that happen?! I spoke to a very nice woman who helped me reschedule my first appointment after it was canceled AT THE OFFICE! This person was nice enough to give me hours so that I could rush home from work, get my animals into the car and get there before rush hour. I arrive early for my appointment and tried to check only to be told that my appointment DOES NOT exist. HOW?! There was a person who spoke to me and scheduled it for me two weeks before. I left gobsmacked that this is the way a business can be run. Not even I'm sorry from the staff. Not even can I help you reschedule?! Wow, they must not be hurting for business if they can treat customers who have been going there FOR YEARS like this. If you are looking for a reliable vet, this is not the place for you.

I have been going here for the past 4 years and have brought my families animals here as well. Dr.King has been amazing and always treats us with respect and curiosity. My dog Diezel had a habit of eating objects other than food and required surgery twice ( 6months apart ) both costing a lot, as you would expect. Dr King let us do a payment plan for both and because the one surgery was right after Christmas, he actually knocked off almost $1000! He is knowledgeable and professional and always hospitable when we come. He is fair with his prices and has even charged us nothing after examining my dog after being attacked because he did not need to do much other then the initial examination. He knows I worry more then I prob need too so he even gave us his personal phone number when my dog had puppies so I could always reach him even after office hours. He keeps it real which I rather have then someone who sugarcoats things. He makes you and your animals feel important and like family which I believe is more professional then a stiff suit only there to make money. Only vet I will ever use and highly recommend him personally as your vet!

He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he only knows how to play, and is brought up in a very good, loving household. We were told that he growls at the help there, and he is too energetic that he jumps the fences there. For the amount of virtue signaling they spew all over their social media about knowing how to "actually" love their pets, through the "proper" training, is quite laughable. We were told that our 7 month old GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY, cannot return there, because they are afraid for their safety. Listen, if you don't want to do the job, then find another business. Poor poor management. Never would I recommend them. We even added a "Birthday" add on for our newly turned 5 year old. Guess we can wish in one hand and s#*t in the other to see which one fills up first. No "Birthday" celebration for her...

They were recommended to us by a friend who had nothing but positive things to say about Dog Talk as well as Mike and Theresa. Well....2023 and we have rescued 3 additional dogs, a lab/pit mix, a pit/shepherd mix who are both 1 years old and just recently added an american bulldog/pit/hound mix who's only 12 weeks (can't wait for her to be old enough and vaccinated to attend daycare). We recently switched to the Fort Washington location only because it is more convenient for me, on my way to work, but we still go back to Blue Bell every once in a while because I know the pups miss Mike! Well, we just took our very first vacation in 10 years because we always put it off knowing we didn't have anyone we trusted with our fur babies. Well, not anymore!! The three oldest pups were boarded at Dog Talk at the Fort Washington location and LOVED it so much and so did mom and dad. Knowing they were well cared for and loved during their time spent with Theresa. Theresa even put up with my crazy dog mom check-ins throughout the week. They even thrived while being boarded learning a few new things and now listen even a little better than before. Cage-free boarding (or you can bring your cage if that's what your dog's prefer, like ours). Set schedule of feeding to keep on track with the home schedules and play, play, play! There is so much engagement for the dogs at daycare from bubbles to water play to rest to playing chase with other dogs. I always appreciate Mike and Theresa and their knowledge of dogs and how to train them, but really we're the ones needing and being trained. I have picked both Mike and Theresa's brain on a multitude of items relating to my dogs and their recommendation/advice has always been spot on! Theresa and Mike are always so responsive and have nothing but the best interests of the dogs in mind 24/7. It is hands-down a blessing we found Dog Talk; I will not take my puppies anywhere else. I can't wait for next year, it was so nice to not have to worry so much while away, we've already booked our trip for next year! The D'Amico four will be there all week next July! Thank you Mike and Theresa for all you do.

The Puppy Butler came through and eased our fears of leaving our pup, Brody, in someone else's care when we were out of town. They are professional, respectful, kind, and clearly have a compassion for animals. Their price is also great after doing some of the others I was considering sending Brody. They sent us enjoyable pictures and videos of our dog, daily, making it easier for us to relax while on vacation. Brody was happy and worn out from being able to run in The Puppy Butler's big backyard for days by the time we picked him up. Yes - leaving an animal behind while away can be hard. But I highly, highly recommend The Puppy Butler if you're in need. We'll definitely be using them again.

I retained…read moresomeone who lived very close to me and had great reviews, but after a few sessions I realized our schedules were not compatible; I was not getting consistency and reliability from her. It's important for me to make progress with my dog, so I Googled alternate options and stumbled upon Alex's page. I called him on a Friday and he picked up the phone right away. We spoke for a while about my needs and he came out the following Tuesday for what was supposed to be a 2-hour visit. I fell in love with him immediately, he is not only so personable and likable on his own, but he really takes the time to LISTEN to what you need and work on those things right away. I had mentioned my priorities to my previous trainer, but I found that she was teaching my dog commands that didn't actually accomplish what I was after. In our first meeting, Alex worked on SO MANY of my priorities. He got my dog to go into her crate on command, taught her to "stay," showed me how to "walk with" my dog better on her leash, and (using a 30' leash outdoors) started working on recall with her. We were so immersed in what was going on that Alex started to go a little bit over our time, but he didn't want to stop because we were making such great progress. I told him if he wanted to give me a third hour right then and there that I was prepared to pay for it, and he did!! I learned a lot of things from Alex myself during our first meeting, like how to employ the use of "deltas" (which my old trainer never once mentioned) and how non-verbal cues are arguably more important than verbal ones. Again, my old trainer actually discouraged me from using hand motions, but once incorporating them into my routine I noticed that my dog was much more compliant than she had been. Another positive difference between my old trainer and Alex is he really takes the time to teach you why he's doing what he's doing, and encourages you to participate. My old trainer just taught my dog a command and had me replicate/practice when she left. Alex really makes you feel like you are a part of the teaching process. After our private session Alex recommended some "Small Group Therapy" for my pup. He came at noon on a Thursday to pick up my dog and she proceeded to go on a several-hour outing with his two chihuahuas and a dog he was fostering. The entire time he was out with her he was recording and sharing videos on an iCloud album. It was INCREDIBLE to not only see everything that was happening, but to hear him narrate why he was doing the things he was doing. I could not get enough of his videos and felt like I was there during the session. On top of Alex's excellent communication, punctuality, reliability, friendliness, competency, and effectiveness, his rates are OUTRAGEOUS in the BEST way! I truly believe he is under-charging for his services. I can get three hours with Alex for less than I paid for one hour with my prior trainer, and I feel much better about the work that is done during that timeframe. I adore Alex, and most importantly, what he is doing works. He really gets into the mind of your dog, and has such a wonderful way of connecting with them and their needs. I am elated to keep our work going - my pup has lots more Small Group Therapy outings in her future and it's wonderful that I have the option to use him one-on-one to teach her even more commands in the house. One day I hope to move on from essential commands to more fun ones, like "roll over" or "go get X toy."
