We had the best experience at Stekoa Creek for a Galentine's dinner. Everything was top notch, from the ambience, waitress, cocktails, and our delicious appetizers, entrees, and complimentary birthday desserts. Our groups of six sampled a few of the amazing cocktails with the Stekoa Sour being a huge hit. I think 3-4 came out for us. The complimentary muffins were outstanding; so much so we asked for some to go. We ordered the mountain queso, bone marrow steak tartare and brussel sprouts for the table. All mouthwatering, but the sprouts stole the show. I could drink that sauce! Our entrees included a Caesar salad with chicken, house salad with chicken, bolognese, Tuscan chicken pasta, meatloaf, and short ribs. Everything hit! So stuffed, but wait there's more! They provided complimentary desserts of our choice since three of us were celebrating a birthday. Do not skip the carrot cake OR the apple crumb cake with dulce de leche ice cream. Nearly licked the plates. On top of how amazing everything was, it was also so fairly priced. Such a wonderful treat. I'm so sad I live seven hours away and only visit annually. Tyler the only bartender and waiter was very nice. However, It took 30 min to get our drinks, 45 min for one app (short rib croquettes were delicious), and at least 1 hr before dinner arrived. It was not busy at all. The dinners were very overpriced and very average tasting. The steaks were tough and overdone for $65 per. The Brussels were coated with sugar. The "twice baked potato" was half a potato without anything on it, let alone Not twice baked. Unfortunately we won't be going back. read more

Service was great, our server was friendly and attentive, and the manager checked on us during our meal. The best thing about this place was Chris Gulley playing the piano! He plays on Fridays and Saturdays! He is so gifted! He really sets the ambiance of the restaurant. This is probably one of the best places i've been in quite some time. The ambience was low key high class, and the piano player in the corner was top tier. Our server, Jenny, was incredibly warm and helpful. She really created such a great environment. We ordered swiftly and food came out hot and delicious. First cornbread which was heavenly. Appetizers lobster bisque and a wedge salad. Both were amazing. My partner had the yardbird and it was so crispy and tender. I had the salmon which was delicate and delicious. Carrot cake to end the night the cherry on top, so moist and decadent. Additionally, there were 3 managers/owners and each of them came to our table at a minimum of two times to ask how things were going/ask if we needed anything else. The waitress, Bailey, was so sweet and the host was attentive and checked in with our table. We arrived at a great time- wasn't busy at all. Do not take kids with you; pretty sure that's why we were seated all the way in the back by ourselves- we had our 3 teen boys with us. In the back corner where we were sat, was tons of gnats. Quite odd. Ordered our food- AN HOUR later it came. Not even kidding, a whole hour and the place was not even close to being busy. Tomahawk steak was $165 - ordered it medium, it was extremely well done. No pink at all. Evidently that's what took an hour- to cook the tomahawk completely and fully. They took $60 off bill. My order was so cold and salty I didn't even try to eat it- they offered to get me something else but no way I could wait another hour to eat. I just grabbed something from somewhere else when we left. My youngest ordered the filet mignon and loved it. Sides were good. Besides the gnats- loved the atmosphere. Our server was great the first hour, but once food came she never asked how anything was. We had to wait for her to eventually come over and then we told her. We were super nice about it- at the end of the day it's just a meal. But she really couldn't care less lol. Don't take kids, don't get seated in the back and order easier to cook items and I'm sure you'll have a great experience. read more

My daughter and a group of friends ate at Stekoa Creek before prom. They raved about the service and how their waitress was so nice and kind to them. Every need was met and their food was excellent. Not one thing was lacking from their meal. At the end of their dinner the waitress told them their meal had been paid for by the owner. Mostly pompous. Truly bad food. We waited for over an hour for cold steak that wasn't medium rare. In general poor quality overpriced food.

Atmosphere and appetizers were a 5+, but the entrees fell short. The salmon with grits and collard greens was heavy and seasonings didn't balance well for an overall presentation. The lobster bisque was not... a couple of pieces of lobster were dropped on top of Tomatoe soup. The seafood flavor should have been infused throughout the dish. I have had dinner at Stekoa Creek 2 times and both times have been very disappointing. The atmosphere and service was nice but both times the steaks have been well done when I asked for medium rare. The server suggested the drink of the day and it was so sweet I sent it back after tasting it. I did make the server aware of the over cooked steak but no solution was offered and no compensation was offered off the bill. I will never go back. I do not recommend Stekoa Creek. read more

Unfortunately this place is not what it was when it opened...we loved stekoa creek at first. Now service is ehh, food is slow and oysters Rockefeller were incredibly salty. The atmosphere is generally good and the pianist on weekends does make it a bit better, but the price vs quality of food is not good. We ate here 8-10 times right when this restaurant opened around a year ago and it was great, but it is a totally different place now. We haven't been in 6 months or so and decided to give it another shot, but the food is still mediocre at a fine dining price. Would not recommend. read more

His recommendations were spot on as we all enjoyed our meal. Brad, the manager, stopped by the table to ensure we were happy. The atmosphere is beautiful and decorated impeccably for the mountain setting. Tables are intentionally separated slightly which is a nice change, as many restaurants push the tables close together and you feel like your dining with strangers. Our group enjoyed the shrimp appetizer, the brussel sprouts, Caesar salad, steak and fries, chicken piccata and the carrot cake.
