Celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Stekoa Creek, what a wonderful experience. Atmosphere was classy, wonderful decor, especially the wildlife artwork. Service was great, our server was friendly and attentive, and the manager checked on us during our meal. Highly recommend Mountain Queso appetizer. 10oz Bistro Steak was well over 10oz and perfectly cooked. Pimento Mac is off the hook. And the carrot cake is absolutely unreal. Best cake I've had in my life. We'll be back!

The best thing about this place was Chris Gulley playing the piano! He plays on Fridays and Saturdays! He is so gifted! He really sets the ambiance of the restaurant. Will was our server and he was great. I enjoyed the shrimp appetizer and pear salad. The smoked old fashioned was tasty. Lots of reviews are complaining about prices because this is a small town - I don't have a problem paying for good food and good service.

This is probably one of the best places i've been in quite some time. The ambience was low key high class, and the piano player in the corner was top tier. Our server, Jenny, was incredibly warm and helpful. She really created such a great environment. We ordered swiftly and food came out hot and delicious. First cornbread which was heavenly. Appetizers lobster bisque and a wedge salad. Both were amazing. My partner had the yardbird and it was so crispy and tender. I had the salmon which was delicate and delicious. Carrot cake to end the night the cherry on top, so moist and decadent. Additionally, there were 3 managers/owners and each of them came to our table at a minimum of two times to ask how things were going/ask if we needed anything else. I would recommend this place 100x over - amazing!

Everything was wonderful from the moment we walked in the door-leaving. The service, Nancy was great! Food, steak so tender and delish, She crab soup, wonderful! The little muffins with the butter and pepper-jelly, Sooo very yummy and dessert! Oh my! We had the carrot cake. Highly recommend for special occasion, or just a nice dinner.

Finally I hav been able to visit this beautiful addition to our fabulous downtown! My wonderful friend Carlton invited me to join him in an impromptu dinner. Wow! Just wow! The dining room goes on forever with couch seating by the fire, soft chair seating arrangements and traditional table seating. Bar seating is also available. I had the Pear salad with Shrimp and Carlton had the Chopped Salad with Steak..both were phenomenal. Then we finished with the decadent Carrot Cake! The service was exceptional! Cannot wait to come back and try other items on the menu!

Absolutely incredible experience! Between 6 of us we all ordered different entrees, all of which were superb. We also had the Brussels sprouts, queso dip, steak tartar which were amazing. The cocktails were perfection, and the carrot cake and apple desert were divine! Our server was amazing and so very friendly. Could not have had a better experience!

So good! Food, service, atmosphere, other guests, music. Our server, Jessica, was delightful. She gets a12. She completely flipped our minds on our order. She was so right. Mountain Queso, meatloaf and black bass... oh and the carrot cake!!! We don't drink but our neighbors got a fun smoked barrel drink that looked so good. Definitely will be coming back.

Everything we ordered was top-notch presentation and flavor. The drinks were well crafted and priced fairly, too. The waitress, Bailey, was so sweet and the host was attentive and checked in with our table. Our steak was served at the perfect temp and had a wood smoke flavor we cannot get at home, it was wonderful. Tip: get the cheddar grits- they were coarse cut, but somehow light and fluffy at the same time - yum! We loved the overall esthetic and vibe with excellent animal local art on the walls.

We arrived at a great time- wasn't busy at all. Do not take kids with you; pretty sure that's why we were seated all the way in the back by ourselves- we had our 3 teen boys with us. In the back corner where we were sat, was tons of gnats. Quite odd. Ordered our food- AN HOUR later it came. Not even kidding, a whole hour and the place was not even close to being busy. Tomahawk steak was $165 - ordered it medium, it was extremely well done. No pink at all. Evidently that's what took an hour- to cook the tomahawk completely and fully. They took $60 off bill. My order was so cold and salty I didn't even try to eat it- they offered to get me something else but no way I could wait another hour to eat. I just grabbed something from somewhere else when we left. My youngest ordered the filet mignon and loved it. Sides were good. Besides the gnats- loved the atmosphere. Our server was great the first hour, but once food came she never asked how anything was. We had to wait for her to eventually come over and then we told her. We were super nice about it- at the end of the day it's just a meal. But she really couldn't care less lol. Don't take kids, don't get seated in the back and order easier to cook items and I'm sure you'll have a great experience.

Mostly pompous. Truly bad food. We waited for over an hour for cold steak that wasn't medium rare. In general poor quality overpriced food.

I am not local to the area and I do wish I could revisit this establishment. My bar fly days have been long gone, yet I guess "closing the bar" is part of my genetic structure, and these things don't go away. It's not something that I intend on doing, but the conversation flows with me and around me, and people just don't want me to go home! So, we ended up hanging out with one of the owners, and this gave me an insight to the whole idea behind this concept. If you are interested in local, unique products, and search for new flavors, this is the place to find excellent quality drinks. There's in-house gin and bitters, and that is all I will say. Well, one more thing I will say: don't be surprised if this bar becomes a national destination. The bar itself is classy and inviting, the music is great, the crowd is cool, but the hospitality is above tops. This place has it all and deserves a visit. Closing statement: very few places deserve 6 stars, this is one of them.

I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.
