The food to my group and I wasn't the best considering the price. My friend couldn't even it her chicken picatta because of ut being drowned in butter. She had to send it back and explain how to cook it so it was edible. I got the scallops with quinoa and asparagus. Scallops were kind of bland just like the quinoa. I would say the bread and the asparagus were good. My other friend got the rice and she said it was great. The others got the burger which they said was good. Our waitress was awesome.

The rose on the table was lovely!

We don't normally go out for Valentine's Day dinner, as in the past, we've had some experiences where it felt like amateur night at a prefix rate. Last night at the Vandiver was a wonderful exception! Three course meal was delicious. Starting with a light salad with a very tasty dressing and delicious warm rolls. We both had the hanger steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus entrée, and my medium rare was cooked perfectly as was his medium. Dessert was delicious chocolate mousse. When our fantastic server Kate brought our check she also presented us with a Valentine's Day goodie bag, that included a chilled split of Prosecco and a bag of chocolate dipped strawberries and pretzels. The whole experience felt elegant, serving sizes were perfect, meal timing was on point and our server was attentive, but not intrusive. We will definitely be back!

What a neat place tucked in the Bridge Creek Inn. Very warm and cozy, great dining but not too over the top, and great menu selection. I had the trout with crawfish sauce & grilled asparagus and it was awesome. Our server was super attentive without being smothering. Looking forward to our second trip to Clayton!

This restaurant is a great addition to our downtown Main St. The food is absolutely fabulous! Such a variety for everyone's palate. It's so nice to have another upscale place to go to. We have enough places you can go and grab a sandwich after hiking or going to the lake. I love the atmosphere when you walk in. If you are alone the bar is a gat place to eat....then you're not really eating alone! Ask for their original Aperol Sour! It's great! I've tried many different dishes. The trout is my absolute favorite with the Grilled Shrimp w/ succotash a close second! The in house made desserts are to die for! I get a to-go box for my food so I can save room for the desserts! Everyone that works there is so friendly and the service is outstanding.

Only saving grace is really good service and a decent enough dessert. Wanting to charge big city prices with no flavor. I had the fish which honestly tasted like it was probably frozen. My partner had a pumpkin ravioli which was just sour.

We were a group of 4 and visited opening weekend for dinner. It was their second night in business and we observed a well operated machine. Malia was our server and she was fabulous, truly a kind young lady. We started with the local bread service: 4 rolls baked fresh accompanied by a magnificent honey butter topped with sea salt. For appetizers, we enjoyed the calamari and jalapeño hush puppies which are paired with a sorghum butter. The calamari was very good; albeit, I would've liked to see some tentacles rather than only rings. As far as the hush puppies, these were good! The puppies were cushiony inside and perfectly crisp on the exterior. We did feel these would benefit from more of a kick. For entrées, two ordered the French dip with fries, one ordered the pasta bolognese, and I opted for the corn ravioli. Additionally, we enjoyed a side of the confit fingerling potatoes. We pasta eaters shared a side Caesar salad. Actually it was a split Caesar as the option to add a salad is non-existent. The food was served as ordered with the exception of anchovies gracing the salads. They offered new salads, but we simply removed and discarded the anchovies upon arrival. In lieu of croutons, a bread crumb topping is used on the salad which we both enjoyed and preferred over croutons. My friend's tagliatelle pasta was cooked to perfection. All pasta is made fresh and they have a pastry chef too. The corn ravioli was very good. I wasn't sure how filling it would be given there were only 6 raviolis, but it was topped with a 1/2 cup or more of corn mixture so I was content between this and the starters. The corn mixture had a little kick which was very satisfying. The bolognese along with the French dip sandwiches were generous portions. The presentation on all our dishes and desserts was on point. Finally, we opted to share the chocolate ganache cake and key lime tart. The crust on both of these desserts was dynamite! The arrival of the key lime tart comes with a performance (see pic). The desserts were very generous portions which warranted the prices. All in all, this was an excellent dinner and we were very pleased with the fluidity given the fact it was their grand opening weekend. Not to mention, it was a holiday weekend. The only suggestion I offer is educating the staff on the origin behind the name as this inquiry left a staff member a bit baffled. Terrific job for a grand opening and I'd definitely return on my next visit to Clayton and recommend to others. P.S. The cocktails and mocktails are also fantastic!

Ambiance was nice. Service was exceptional and the food was delicious! Started with two specialty drinks. The kale salad was so good, the server split it for us as it was huge salad. I had the chicken piccata and my husband had the filet.

In town for Valentine's Day and had the special menu. Amazing! The chefs are talented and everything was spectacular. Our sever, Francisco was amazing and attentive. Definitely will be visiting again when we are in the area. The ambiance was perfect for an awesome date night.

Highly recommend! Stopped by on a weekend trip, the service and ambience were amazing. Everything we ordered was FRESH & DELICIOUS. More on the upscale casual side. Servings were perfect.

Great service, food, and atmosphere! Tanner at the bar does a great job and knows his stuff. Managing staff touches tables and does a great job at getting staff to buy in. On their way to being the place to be in Clayton

Poor service, poor food quality. Not impressed at all…read more Ambience is nice, very spacious, newly built, restaurant. Friendly staff. Not very attentive at all. Say for 15 minutes before the manager had to obtain a server for our table. After the food was delivered, the server did not provide adequate service. I requested a water refill, which took an additional 15 minutes, because she continually forgot. Food quality wasn't the greatest. They served chicken, which consisted of 2 thighs and 2 drumsticks. Along with friend catfish filets, that had been way over salted. Both were very soggy. I ate half the thigh and quit. Veggies? Only vegetables were Lima beans, everything else considered vegetables, was a casserole. A table full of starches. Over rated and over priced. Sadly disappointed. If you want good southern food, go further south to Thomasville, GA. Go to O'Neals. You can fool some folks, but not someone that knows southern cooking. We won't return.

The new Temu version sucks. So incredibly devastated and disappointed!! You should probably change…read morethe name along with all the other changes because this is NOT the Dillard House. As a local, I have gone to the Dillard House my whole life and it has always been one of my most treasured spots but sadly it will never be the same again. I visited for the first time since bought out by some Atlanta conglomerate called Legacy Ventures and boy did they just take the character and soul completely out of this place to make a buck. All of my childhood memories and the charm of the south, replaced with some generic millennial grey design bullshit and shitty recipes. Was the old place fancy and swanky? Absolutely not, but here in the country we like our charm like grandma's tried and true biscuit recipe: Not pretty but dang does it taste good. Thank God they kept the family style menu, but boy was the food NOTHING to write home about. I can't say that anything tasted as good as it used to. It was all cold and overcooked and certainly not prepared by someone from the south that knows what they're doing. The cured salty country ham that made your mouth water...bland and uncured. Missing some of the best staples the menu offered. Completely ripped out the country store and gift shop. I didn't want to believe the other locals when they told me what had happened, but now that I've experienced it, I'm not sure I can continue to support this place. They have replaced the kids from Rabun Gap that always worked there with people who are clearly not familiar with the place nor how to show Southern hospitality. I always admired the fact that they gave jobs to kids to learn how to serve the community and make a little money. Every kid should have that experience for character growth. I thought for sure I'd be able to bring my children here one day to experience the same nostalgia that is seared into my mind and heart, but sadly that will never happen now. Can we PLEASE stop selling out our cherished local spots to people who clearly don't know anything about the area or care to honor it? Let's keep the country the country and you city folk can do whatever you want there. It's also very clear that nothing is being done to improve these conditions with the onslaught of negative reviews from lifelong customers online. You may fool new customers that don't know what they're missing, but the lack of traffic on a Sunday proves the point that you aren't making changes to "honor the past experience and care about the feedback." Word of mouth travels fast.

No auction items. Nothing. The only thing remotely "tournament‑like" was the fee they charged. And let's be clear: this wasn't even a fundraiser for a cause. It was "bring your own tiles, sit with your friends, play in our room, and we'll serve you a fair‑to‑mediocre lunch"--a lunch that, as the owner proudly announced, didn't even include a basic cookie for dessert. Stunning. Then came the final insult. My friend's mother, who couldn't attend, had spent two weeks calling and requesting a refund. Repeatedly denied and given the run around. Only after persistent pressure did they begrudgingly offer a food‑only gift certificate--not merchandise--though maybe, possibly, someday, at some undefined later date, they might let her use it in the store. Maybe. But not today. What on earth was this event. I genuinely felt like I had stepped into an alternate universe where professionalism, integrity, and basic hospitality had been outlawed.
