I was first greeted by a warm smile from Carolina, who checked me in and verified my information. I waited for about 10mins in the lobby, then I was brought back by one of the surgical assistants, by the name of Unique! She took my blood pressure, made me feel comfortable, and answered all the questions I had! Shortly afterwards, Dr. Bhagyam came in to the room, and addressed my situation! He was professional, yet had it all simplified! He was awesome! After my consultation....I was moved to another room to get everything started for my procedure. This is where I met the other surgical assistants, Kathleen , Grecia, and Lara!! Meeting the entire staff on an office visit is not only rare, but gave me SO much peace of mind!! After I got there and was told that the person who takes that insurance is no longer there, I waited for verification and clarification on the insurance amount before moving forward. In the chair waiting , then I decided not to do the cleaning that day. I am most certain they charged me $100. Now I have a bill for over $200.00. They are dishonest and customers should stay far away from this office. The worst ever. I was told the dentist would see me first, then after waiting about 30 minutes, I was told to go ahead and get X-rays instead. That set the tone for the entire appointment--confusing, uncoordinated, and unprofessional. The wait time was excessive. It took over an hour just to get to the point where a basic cleaning could even begin. During that time, there was poor communication and a noticeable lack of efficiency. I also found the dentist's demeanor to be condescending, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. On top of that, there were hygiene concerns that did not meet the level of cleanliness I expect from a healthcare setting. One of the most concerning parts of the visit was feeling restricted from leaving when I became uncomfortable by Lawanda Rhodes ( dentist) . No patient should ever feel that they cannot leave freely--this was unacceptable and added to the overall negative experience. Another concern was the push to recommend multiple additional procedures that did not feel clearly necessary or well-explained, which raised red flags for me. There are far too many professional, clean, and respectful dental offices out there to settle for this kind of treatment. I would NOT recommend this location . Patients deserve better communication, better organization, and a higher standard of care. Dr Arya said it would take 1 hour and 15mins. He was done in an hour! (8 crowns). The staff kept me updated which was very helpful for my anxiety.(all parents understand).
