This dragged on for three years until I finally got them off yesterday. They do not offer flexible payment plans and customer service is not good. The office staff and hygienists are unprofessional and gossip about patients while other patients are in the room. They do not help you or greet you whenever you walk in. I had to go up to the desk and make myself known for me to receive help and even then the staff member was short with me. Do not expect them to do you any favors as far as flexibility with your appointments. I was caught in traffic and was late getting to the office to pick up my retainers and they were about to close. I called to let them know that I was down the street and caught in traffic but was on my way. I was two minutes late after they closed and they locked the door on me. Your best bet is probably to look elsewhere for treatment. There are definitely more flexible and kind providers out there.

We took our very "terrified of dentist" 4 year old to Dr Reddy and she has been nothing short of wonderful. She radiates calmness as do her staff, she has been kind to our child, literally talked her through the process and to put in simple words GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND! While providing the best dental care for our child. That gave us a lot of confidence, especially when it comes to dental care for children. It's hard to find a place that combines a truly friendly atmosphere with top-notch professionalism, but this office really delivers on both. Dr. Mai then came in for my teeth cleaning - she was as sweet as can be, and super thorough while still being mindful of my comfort (whatever numbing stuff they use is a game changer!). She was extremely competent - Dr. Mai diagnosed and fixed an issue with an abrasion on my tooth that had been causing me discomfort for over a year before I even had to mention it to her! I was very impressed. I had to make a secondary appointment to fill in a nasty cavity, but it was every bit as pleasant as my first appointment - they were able to get me in the very next week, and my dental assistant that day, Summer, was very kind - we chatted about our shared bookworm tendencies and she even gave me some reading recommendations. Let me start by saying that Deerbrook Family Dentistry is my primary care dentist through my…read moreinsurance company. I had a huge hole in my back tooth that was causing me severe pain to the point I couldn't chew food, even on the other side of my mouth. I arrived and was promptly taken to the back, where I was cared for almost immediately. Saw the dentist and she told me she didn't think she could salvage the tooth and that it would require extraction. She wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and Tylenol 3 for the pain, as well as a referral to an oral surgeon located near the office. I scheduled the consultation (which apparently is standard when needing emergency oral surgery) for the next day at the other facility and was looking forward to having the issue taken care of quickly. An hour before the appointment time, the other location called me and informed me that they did not accept my insurance. So, I called back up to Deerbrook Family Dentistry for a referral to a place that accepts my insurance, only for them to tell me that Dr. Perez only refers patients to that specific facility so it would be my responsibility to find a surgeon to remove my tooth. Excuse me, but I don't remember going to dental school and meeting an entire network of other dentists and dental surgeons. As a matter of fact, I know absolutely ZERO people in the field of dentistry. How am I supposed to know where to find an oral surgeon, considering I don't have a rolodex full of all sorts of colleagues/dental professionals? More importantly, why on earth would my in-network dentist refer me to an out-of-network oral surgeon, knowing full well that my insurance wouldn't cover the visit? How does she not have another facility she can refer me to? The solution I was given was to find my own oral surgeon, set up an appointment, and then call back with the new oral surgeon's information so that they can then send a new referral to the surgeon. Mind you, the hole in my tooth is so painful that I can't even see straight, and I am now having to make my own professional connections in an industry that I don't even work in, just to get my tooth taken out because Dr. Perez only refers patients to one specific oral surgeon and can't be bothered to think of one other oral surgeon in the whole world she could refer me to. So my emergency tooth extraction went from a quick fix to not getting fixed for a month out from my initial visit. I just don't understand the logic behind her decision to send me to a clinic that doesn't accept my insurance and how the process has fallen solely on my shoulders. Like, what kind of primary care is that?

I then go to book my next cleaning about 6 months later, the same thing yet again, they tell me the dental hygienist wasn't there and that they didn't even put me down for a cleaning... That was the last straw and took my business elsewhere just for 2 years later to receive a bill from them (Lake Houston) for x rays they never submitted to insurance and now have created a past due account on my credit. They are slow, badly run, and simply incompetent. Bad business, do not get your teeth checked, cleaned or merely step in vicinity of the area just trash!
