I totally forgot that it was food truck day today so parking was non-existent. Luckily I found a open spot nearby the European Wax Center at River Park location. I was able to make my appointment right on time. Cuz they do like I think they either cancel you or you got like a 5 minutes before you could be even late or else that you got to reschedule it's the whole thing. They greeted us immediately upon entering and made us comfortable. We had requested the spa pedi so once escorted to the pedi area and seated, we were given a lovely glass of sparkling wine. Since Mother's Day is coming up, we were also given pink roses. Michelle and Anna did the pedicures. They were excellent techs and chatted with us throughout the whole pedi. They really made the experience even more special. I feel like I should also comment on the cleanliness of the salon. It was *impeccable*. Not even a bit of dust in the corners. While the two ladies who assisted me were extremely nice and on the surface the place is clean, when I entered the room, it just wasn't clean. The robe they have u put on looked dirty, there was wax all outside the wax holder with a wood wax stick sticking out of it and the lid half off half on. But I was like, I'm here now let's just get it over with. Well, it was obvious they are not the most experienced, while it wasn't too painful, they kept going over the same places multiple times to the point my skin was peeling as time progressed after my service. In their defense they did try to be thorough in removing hairs as they also used tweezers. Also after I finished the lady was putting the supplies away and a wax removing paper fell on the floor and she picked it off the floor and put in back in the basket with the rest of the clean ones. They also reused the waxing stick during my service AND replaced said waxing stick in the wax leaving it sticking out on my way out the same way I saw it coming into the room. That said, I'm most certain they used that stick on another client prior to me. Very nice staff but I would NOT recommend this place.

However, my recent experiences have left me deeply disappointed and frankly disgusted by how the company and management treat loyal, long-term clients. Recently, I went to rebook my wax appointment through the EWC app, only to discover that my trusted wax specialist, Ciara Rix, was no longer listed. I was shocked to learn she was no longer with the company with no notifications being given to her clients. It feels incredibly unprofessional that EWC had clients showing up without a word--just an "oops, yeah, that wax specialist is no longer with us." This lack of communication is appalling and reflects a company that clearly doesn't value its customers. Given that the services provided are quite intimate, being forced to see a different wax specialist with whom I have no rapport is not only discomforting but downright disappointing. I felt that EWC's priority is not the comfort and feelings of their customers but rather clinging to money through bulk-purchased wax passes. They falsely promote how much they value their clients while disregarding the very people who keep them in business. Like any rational customer, I asked for my money back since I would no longer be receiving services. Instead of a refund, I was met with, "Unfortunately, we cannot refund your money, but you can have store credit." This response is infuriating! I wouldn't mind store credit for a small amount, but EWC is withholding nearly $800! This desperate attempt to keep money in their accounts is nothing short of greedy. Many clients, including myself, return to EWC because of the wax specialists who build a rapport with us. Ciara Rix was the heart and soul of the service I received, and I only remained with EWC for over six years because of her exemplary services. For those who might argue that I haven't branched out, let me clarify: during Ciara's maternity leave, I experienced other wax specialists, and the quality of service was drastically reduced. One of them even burned me with the wax! It was an uncomfortable and painful experience that almost made me stop coming back altogether. Ciara's follow-up after that incident is what kept me returning. As a dedicated client who once recommended EWC to friends and family, I now feel compelled to look elsewhere for my waxing needs--somewhere that truly values loyalty and the history I've built as a customer. On a positive note, I'm thrilled to share that I've found Ciara Rix at her new location!!! I could not be more excited about it! All I wanted was my money back, but instead, I'm left feeling betrayed and disgusted by a company I once trusted, which is practically stealing my money by withholding it. Very clean wax, no stray hairs, and no soreness afterwards. Her spray tans are VERY even all over the body, no streaks, and the formula is even Organic I believe. Most importantly she is extremely sanitary and clean. She uses great quality products that have never cause a reaction or rash, and uses disposable products so you know your waxing items have never been used by the previous customer!!
