Very nice people .. decent food..there's a reason they have been in business 20 years

I'm surprised by the low rating for this place. The bartender was new and she was very friendly and showed great customer service the place I thought was just one of the small gambling dents but this can actually qualify as a full bar as the actual still as I've seen in my neighborhood usually are just gambling places that serve coffee this place is a nice looking bar with plenty of space yet an intimate dive feel and effect. They're not many two they're not too many bars to choose from this area so Beggars cannot be choosy. This bar is a joke. I went here around midnight on a Friday night. As you enter, the left side has a round bar. So everyone sits around the bartender. The other side is where all the pool tables and karaoke stuff is at. We ordered Guinness on tap. It tasted bad. It wasn't rich and smooth like it should be. It had a chemically taste to it, like that in Budlight and Miller Lite. The cleanest part of the bar was where the gambling machine chairs were, all other places looked sticky and unclean. The crowd here was even more surprising. The people who were singing were entertaining but some just didn't realize how bad they were. Because the beer tasted off and the bar seemed very unclean, I give it a 2 stars. Honestly, I don't see myself giving this place a second chance. I'm pretty embarrassed that I took my friend there. They have a pool table, dart board, and a couple of games inside. They also have a decent jukebox so you can play whatever songs you like. Currently, they do not have food! No appetizers or nothing. Just bags of potato chips. It's ok if you're just out for a drink though. read more

The restaurant is the bomb.com fast friendly service great atmosphere. Huge wings seasoned to perfections $10 for 8 whole wings in heard of.... homemade chicken noodle soup delicious as well. Definitely a hidden gem in Romeoville, if your in the area stop in you won't regret it !!!!! read more

Walked into this bar when a friend moved into the neighborhood after we moved him in. We walked in we checked it out got a stare from everyone in the bar on a Saturday afternoon as if we would be killed for walking into the bar. We left after 10 minutes of sitting at a table. I love me some dive bars, but this just flat out gives me the heebie jeebies. I was here for a birthday, and sure hope I don't have to return. A friend and I arrived a bit early and sat at the bar for a drink. The bartender was super friendly and quick to take and make drink orders. After just several minutes, I spotted an older man that had entirely too much to drink. I knew he'd make his way over, and 10 minutes later, sure as $hit he was hanging all over my friend. She kept moving but he wouldn't leave. He said to us, "I can tell you ain't no hoes, I can spot hoes a mile away." and continued to ask if we were still in college and where we worked. Disgusted, we eventually walked away and got more tables. He continued to follow us, but thankfully our party was there and he was distracted. I hate to allow one patron substantially sway my opinion, as I realize he may not return. But the fact that no one suggested he leave and that he continually was served showed me that the bar was more concerned on selling more drinks than keeping their patrons happy. I just moved into the area about a month ago. I have passed Stella's several times and I wondered what it was all about. Well I went on a Thursday night. It was pretty darn busy. $1.00 beers was the reason. Now if I was still a beer drinker I would have been in heaven. They still had good prices on drinks. I would say it is a local somewhat dive bar BUT sometimes those are the best bars to go to. Super friendly bartender. Friendly regulars and good tunes on the juke box. I love dive bars! This place totally qualifies too. The carpet is nasty, some of the bar stools are held together with duct tape and on some nights they have karaoke. There are pool tables, dart boards and a music player on the wall. There is a full kitchen in the back, and from what I understand, they serve food. I don't believe it, nor would I ever eat there. Michael's Pizza is next door and will deliver inside the bar, which no one has a problem with. Beers are a dollar on Thursday and I am pretty sure Monday night has buckets of beer for like 5 bucks. This place is my favorite local hangout. Everyone is welcome and a dirty old man will probably buy you a shot! read more

Stopped by after work and it is definitely a dive. Cheap drinks was a plus, but the atmosphere was lacking. Can't say I would want to go back. The bar wasn't smoky and the bartenders were nice. read more

This place was garbage. Unless you are a male, the female bartender ignores you. Takes tips out of your bill without asking. I had to send my boyfriend to the bar to get drinks. Be cautious of this place and count your change. read more

By far the worst experience I have had at a bar. I visited this establishment as our daughter said she liked the owner, unfortunately she was not there and we were waited on by a very rude bartender who was obviously annoyed that we came in when we did. This was a family night and had taken our daughter and her boyfriend out and were stopping for a night cap, huge mistake. We have owned our own restaurants and bars for over a decade and if I ever had one of my employees talk to and or act the way this individual did.........fired on the spot! The worst customer service ever, then on top of it she gets some of the regulars involved and made us feel so unwelcome from the get go. We were there for approximately 10 minutes and spent $43 dollars, what a terrible waist and bad end of a great day. We will obviously never return to Stellas. read more

Great dive bar if I ever saw one. My friend invited me out for a couple of drinks and I thought this place was great. There was an oddball clientele here with a little of everything, but that is what you expect to find at a good dive bar. The drinks were great and cheap and the Saturday night that I went there was even a woman singing and she had a killer voice. I didn't know they had food - if they do I have no idea of it is any good or not. The do have a couple of pool tables in case you get bored. read more

Best bar! Bartenders are friendly and make the atmoshere great! Drink prices are always reasonable.

Decent bar and when I say bar I mean bar nothing fancy cold beer and drinks local atmosphere but everyone is nice and willing to hold a conversation if your looking for a rowdy party crowd or a dance club look somewhere else like I said this is a bar everyone is cool and chill no fights or idiotic people trying to fight just a decent place to get drunk and listen to some tunes read more
