First off, I just love the building and the decor on the inside, the videos in the rooms of different shore sides from around the world and the vistas along with the soothing music. Dr. Scot Bertolo is a great conversationist that is up beat and positive, it makes the time go by so fast and then he's done with working on my feet. Ditto what Bryant said; I love it and it is so easy here. I hurt my foot (tendon pain) and made an appt based on Yelp reviews. They also take my insurance. Their office is in an old, beautiful house in a great location on N. High just north of Henderson, with parking around back. Communication is top-notch; It is so well-run that I wonder why every doctor's office isn't on top of things like this. You complete first patient forms online, receive texts about appts, and are handed a tablet at check-in to finish answering questions and take your own photo for their records. Very smooth. Steve is super nice and efficient; Dr. Bertolo is wonderful and easy-going. I also went for a follow-up appt 2 weeks later. My pain was gone, but I kinda wish I could return. Several years ago I had to have a toenail removed and now I wish I had come here. Now I know. I am recommending this place to everyone I know. read more

I used to enjoy the footcare provided for my diabetic condition, for four years with Dr. Bertolo. Even being a patient of his for four years, and in the middle of our house move, we were too busy to focus on finding a new podiatrist, because 40 minutes before my appointment I was looking forward to, I get a call not to come to their office because I am not vaccinated. This isn't a debate over being vaccinated or not, but it's the fact that they called me 40 minutes before my appointment to tell me that I am fired as a patient. Normally, I would recommend him, but not with this kind of treatment to a current patient. That's not the right thing to do. read more

Is it weird to love a podiatry office? Because I do. Talking about feet is no fun but sometimes a necessary evil. I had an ingrown nail that (surprise, surprise) wasn't getting any better on its own, so I searched Yelp and came up with Urban Podiatry. EVERYTHING IS SO EASY HERE. You can schedule an appointment through email! Steve is the office manager, and he is fantastic... super responsive, but laid-back and warm. He got me an appointment the next week after emailing, and he was very upfront about pricing since the office didn't take my insurance. Once I got there, I was a complete mess, and Steve still managed to get me in. I forgot to fill out my paperwork, and I was 20 minutes late. I'm super appreciative they didn't make me reschedule. Dr. Scot was quick to come in, and he was awesome! Such a warm and caring guy, and he had my bum toe fixed up in no time. He was easy to chat with, and the pain was very minimal. He was really clear with follow-up instructions -- I knew the game plan. When I was checking out, Steve let me know they had a texting line, so I could simply text with them in the future! Anytime a doctor's office helps me avoid talking to a person -- well I'm in love. read more

So this girl's ingrown toenail (gross, I know...hush) decided the week before Pride was a good time to start giving me problems. It was super red and painful...holy crap! Whoever thought an ingrown toenail would hurt any worse than getting a tattoo or something (which still isn't that bad but I digress)?! Anyway, this "gurl" has got to "werk" it next weekend and I could not have a toe holding me up from my dancing and festivities. Off to call a podiatrist. First I called another office and they never called me back. Fantastic. Next I found Urban Podiatry. I always passed this cute place but you know, I'm 31. I suppose in my ignorance I only thought you visited a podiatrist when you were 80 or something. I mean, I did get not one, but TWO AARP cards in the mail this year but jesus... Anyway, Steve was fantastic in getting me scheduled and into the exam room quickly. I had a slight wait but that's ok...it's Friday. :) Dr. Scot came in and was very nice and easy to talk to. He took a look at my toe, did some clipping and added some cooling spray which numbed it enough for him to do what he needed to do. I was concerned I'd have pain throughout this (my tolerance has gone in the toilet)...but he was very gentle. You can tell he knows what he is doing. Not to mention their office is immaculate and spotless. Despite my insurance sucking and not covering this place, I'll continue to see them for any future visits I may need. There's nothing more important to me than a competent doctor and if that's what you're searching for, go to Urban Podiatry. They rock! (puts on dancing shoes...) read more

I'd never been to a podiatrist before but, after 38 abusive years, my aching feet are much happier since my first visit to Urban Podiatry. The entire staff is incredibly well educated and easy going which is great considering how screwed up my feet look. Over 25 years of wrestling, bjj, and judo have taken their toll. I have thick calluses that often lead to painful cracks, A few of my toes point in different directions, and my flat feet make finding the right shoes difficult. I wanted to wait a few days after my first visit in order to give the suggested therapy(s) time. Well, about 10 days have passed and my feet are feeling better than ever! Dr. Bertolo was able to quickly and accurately recognize the problems I've been having, then got to work explaining how we go about fixing those problems. He removed the heaviest callus buildup which now makes my feet almost unrecognizable... for the better. I also have custom supports being made for my ridiculously flat feet. Whether you're experiencing foot pain after a lifetime of abuse or not, do the smart thing and get checked out. I have nothing but positive things to say about Urban Podiatry as a practice, and can appreciate the knowledge and candidness I received by both Steve and Dr. Bertolo. I certainly know where I will take my family if either my wife or son develop issues with their feet! read more

I was having severe foot pain for quite a long time and it was getting to the point where it was constant and affecting my work and well being. I was recommended to him by our handyman who has had some terrible leg issues and highly recmened him. Received orthotics from Urban podiatry and my constant pain was almost immediately gone. It was an easy experience and didn't take long. I had my orthotics in less than a week. The whole venture cost me $400 which was all out of pocket since my insurance deductible was so high, but that included the visit, custom orthotics and fitting. Totally worth it in my opinion for the relief I'm finally getting. I'd highly recommend everything about my experience. Great service, easy experience, great price and amazing product. I came in yesterday because of my ingrown nails...The office is fantastic-it is very cozy and clean. I was greeted by Steve, a very nice fella! Then I met THE doctor. He is soooo awesome and nice. I came back today to remove two ingrown nails. The doc was very gentle and we were just chatting during the procedure....I will have to come back in two weeks and I am looking forward to it. I can say I am an honest patient who has been going to Urban Podiatry for several years now. Dr. Bertolo provides excellent, compassionate care every time I have seen him. Steve, his assistant, always works me in when I need to see the doctor and has been nothing short of fantastic. If you are looking for an excellent foot doctor, I would not hesitate to see him. He has helped me with my ingrown toenails and toe fungus very successfully and has shown to be very competent, honest, and caring. I would not keep going back if this were not the case. If I could give Dr Bertolo a 0 rating, I would! If you need medical treatment regarding an accident of any kind, WARNING look somewhere else! I'm on the verge of suing this Dr for lying and unethical behavior. I chose this Dr because reviews seemed ok. My thoughts are they must be phony reviews, probably people they know making up good reviews. I saw this Dr after stepping on a sensor tack at a retail store in a dressing room. I filled out an incident report with the store after the incident. A couple weeks later I was still experiencing soreness and pain in my rt foot. I waited a little longer to see if it would resolve on its own. It didn't, so I made an appt with Urban Podiatry. I took in the sensor tack that I had kept along with pics of the wound to my foot on my cell phone and showed Dr Bertolo. I explained I'd never had issues with my foot ever in my life, the pain started after I stepped on the sensor tack at the store. He sat in front of me that day and verbally said the tack was long enough to reach the tendon that runs across the bottom of my foot and would have irritated and caused my plantar fasciitis. My mistake to assume a Dr would write in his notes the cause of my diagnosis. I went on to see him a few more times. Another visit was for a cortisone shot in my foot because I continued to have issues after the meds he prescribed and at home treatment plan didn't work. I had several high copays I payed to Urban Podiatry thinking I would be reimbursed by the "at fault" insurance company. The insurance company was at the time eager to assist me with my bills in helping me recover from the foot injury. But when it came to getting my medical records from Dr Bertolo, there was nothing in my records of EVER stepping on the sensor tack! This Dr screwed me from getting reimbursed for ANY of my medical bills, my lawyer dropped the case because this doctor lied about my diagnosis later changing his story to "he didn't think it was caused from the injury of stepping on the tack" per his rude man secretary at the front desk. I was nice and said to the front desk guy, could you ask Dr Bertolo again because that's NOT what he initially told me at my first visit. They said they'd get back with me, but of course didn't. I sent them a text, and email wanting an explanation of why Dr Bertolo was now changing his story and lying? They never answered me back, so I emailed them demanding they mail all my medical records to me, including any verbal conversations. I recently received my records in the mail with no mention of me stepping on a sensor tack. So a long story short, this doctor took my money, scammed me out of being reimbursed, didn't fix my foot, and now I'm waiting on my medical insurance co to come after me wanting repaid for medical bills that should've been paid by the store's insurance co. This has been nothing short of a nightmare with this Dr, his rude staff, and their lies, insurance fraud for changing his story, and unethical behavior. Shortly after I stepped on the sensor tack, the stores insurance co was calling me stating they wanted to take care of my medical bills. I told the truth to my 2 medical insurance companies when they mailed me paperwork regarding the injury about what happened that caused the injury. And the Dr at that time agreed the sensor tack had caused my injury. If my insurance wants repayment they can go after this insurance fraudulent quack Dr! I would be more than happy to face him on a witness stand and call him out on his lies under oath. I even messaged this Dr on Facebook because I couldn't get past the rude front desk guy. Still no reply back from this Dr! He's in it for the money only, has rude guy at front desk, lies, and my foot is still bothering me. I only thought it was fair to warn anyone considering this cheat. If you're ok with him telling you one thing at your first visit to keep you coming to see him for more money, gladly taking your copays, then him lying about your condition, well what else is there to say.
