Before arriving, and at appointment scheduling, I told them to please park on my property. They parked at my neighbors and when I asked them to move, they said they wouldn't be long. Of course my neighbor came home and asked them to move (how embarrassing). When they were finished, they told me to turn the water off to the house. A FLOOD OF WATER WAS GUSHING DOWN MY HOSE BIB AS IT HAD BUSTED. Did they notice this in the beginning or at the end??? I had to call a plumber and pay over $1,000 to cut the drywall and replace my hose bib. NEVER will I have this done in winter again!!!

Once at the house, Mike said he could not perform the requested duct cleaning service. He then suggested getting approximately $4,000 of services which involved sealing off ducts. He was really pressing for me and my wife to accept this new proposal. When I pressed him with questions and more information, he seemingly tap danced around them. He then said we would get a call from his company within the hour from his company trying to convince me to pay for these proposed services at discounted price around $3300. He seemed more about upselling then performing the job he came out for as a technician. This was last Friday. No call of course. Wasted our time unfortunately. Red be careful, buyer beware!

During the next rain, I noticed a section of gutter was leaking. I called J&M and they sent to team out to investigate. Turns out the former owner had used silicone in an elbow joint that wasn't sloped properly, so when it didn't drain at the rate it should, it would drip. The silicone had worn down, so John and the team applied gutter grade sealant with no complaints and no extra charge. The gutters are working great. I definitely trust this team with my business.

Bottom line first: This is an A+++ company! Professional, friendly, and extremely competent work…read more I'd had a leak develop between the walls - water was coming underneath the baseboard. Three other "professional" roofing groups evaluated and the suggestions ranged from tearing down the wall and rebuilding, using caulk along the roof line, and another was rerouting a gutter. All first said "oh yeah, it's just a gutter cleaning" until I showed them that gutters weren't clogged and working just fine. The caulk guy was the most convincing, so I gave it a try - no change whatsoever. I was frustrated and losing hope. Moving on, I looked through Yelp for other roofers. I found one - Doyle, that for some reason stood out. I sent them a message and quickly received back a professional reply, asking when they could come out to evaluate. After some quick texts we set up a date. Afterwards I thought I should get more than one quote, so I used the Yelp "call for help" that sends out the request to (it seems) everyone in the world. [I will never use the Yelp random call for help thing again. I was text and phone bombed for three weeks after that. Not an exaggeration. Calls came in from all over the country - Texas, New York, Florida, Tennessee and more. I kept blocking numbers until it stopped - what a miserable experience! Even when I posted a public complaint one company just accelerated the calls and texts.] This is the first area Doyle stood out - that one initial contact via text (my preference) and some back and forth setting up the appointment. All done quickly and without being harassed. The polite professionalism and quick response put me right at ease. The owner, Sean, came onsite (on time and with text updates) and brought Tom, who did the evaluation. Tom was great - he explained in great detail the potential causes for the leak could be and pointed to an area where two sides came together. He said that a problem there was the most likely cause. He went up and looked around asked if I wanted to come up and see firsthand. I did and was blown away. He pointed to an area that clearly was suspect. The others had talked about everything but this area as the issue. Sean and Tom explained how they operate and what to expect (in clear detail). I had a few other requests unrelated to the leak and it was a quick "no problem, we can do that" and gave me a very reasonable price/estimate for it all on the spot. We arranged a convenient date. Sean send a contract electronically and I was able to sign remotely. Tom and another co-worker came on the date and time agreed on (a Sunday) actually a bit earlier than expected and immediately set up. Everything we agreed to was done. Tom kept me updated as to progress. Sean forwarded pictures on of the work that was completed - especially nice since some of the areas are impossible to see without climbing up to steep areas of the roof. Before they left Tom and his co-worker cleaned up everything - there was no mess or follow up I needed to do. All done with no surprises, no extra charges, and no BS. Several severe rainstorms later, not a leak, drip, or drop of water coming in. This truly was one of the best contractor experiences I've had. I only wish they did other home construction work!
