I thought I Would see Dr. Houpt and thought he was the only dentist there. I continued with the first appointment with a laundry list of recommended work for my 71 year old teeth including replacing old fillings etc. In the world or unlimited funds and time maybe that would be a good plan. I was going to wait to see the cost associated with the proposed plan which I have yet to receive. The purpose of my visit was to get a quote for bonding for chipped front teeth, nothing else was bothering me. I was also interested in the cost of veneers. When I got home I checked online what I could and learned Dr. Redgate had excellent school history for Dentristy, apparently worked as a dentist in the military and the only history I could find of dentistry in general public was in CA in 2021, changing offices in 2023 and now at Old Towne Dental in WA.. I certainly cannot know if there is more history with general public - this is what I could find online. I would love to see real patient reviews both from California and Washington. While serving as a Dentist in the military is relevant, serving as a Dentist to the general public is also important. I think the skill set would have differences, but I am not a dentist. I am someone who has seen many dentists over 70 years, some bad, some good, some excellent. It is hard to know until the work is done and then it is what it is. Therefore - public reviews from prior patients are important to me. I wish it was easier to select a dentist. I wish Old Towne Dental and its associates great success and many good reviews.

Whomever is making these decisions there has ZERO empathy - if they've "grandfathered you in" beware, they're looking for an excuse to boot you and lighten their administrative load.

Hadlock Dental Center rocks!!!!…read more I had a bridge, which was installed by another dentist years ago, come out, and one of the supporting teeth was pretty much crumbled away. Dr. Gile was able to see me very quickly and evaluate the situation. I was scheduled for an extraction a few weeks out, as it was not an urgent issue, and when I went in for the procedure, everything about the visit was friendly, relaxed, and positive. Shoot, it almost felt like fun! The office staff is very competent and gentle. They even called me later that afternoon to let me know I had forgotten my prescription mouth rinse. The assistant who got me set up in the chair and who assisted Dr. Gile was very accommodating. I am recovering from a collision, so I needed a neck pillow, and she offered two different types, making sure I was comfortable. I also asked for shaded glasses, and again, two options were offered. The hygienist who administered the novocaine (or whatever is used these days) was an artist. Top-notch technique! Dr. Gile is very relaxed, jovial, and cheerful (but not over the top). He is also supremely competent. I was expecting a much more difficult procedure, but it was over in no time flat. During the procedure, he even asked if I wanted to know details as he went along, I voted "No thanks", so he just let me know the basics, like when I would feel pressure. He called me in the evening to check on me, and again he was very friendly and upbeat. A previous visit a year or so ago to another dentist in a nearby town had left me very upset, panicked, and confused as to my options and feeling like my concerns were silly and irrelevant. My visit to Hadlock Dental Center was the polar opposite. I recommend them highly!

I called three offices in the area, and Steim Family Dentist was the only one that offered to get me in the next day!! Fast forward to procedure day. The front desk employees are welcoming and efficient. The office is clean and cozy. The dental assistant was so cheerful and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable and helped me feel calm. Another woman came in to inject the numbing medication. This woman was the absolute best!!!! I never felt the pinch or the pressure of the injection that I have always experienced in the past! Well done!!!! The dentist is also friendly and calming. He let me know step you step what was happening during the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. I reminded them that I have an infection, so if they would consider seeing me sooner, or cancellations, please call me. I waited and checked in with them two days later. no openings. I remind them that I'm in pain. no change in appointment. then on the morning of my appointment, as I drag myself to an 8:00am appointment, they call to tell me the doctor is not feeling very well today so he won't be in and they refused to give me antibiotics. needless to say, I found another dentist that actually cared I was in pain. I guess the Nordics are not as compassionate as they think they are.

This was for a complex porcelain crown replacement which I had never been through before. Dr. Harris and Jan were excellent in explaining everything that was going to happen. They checked with me constantly to ask if I was doing ok. I was pretty nervous but didn't experience any pain. I had not had a crown for decades and boy has technology improved. This dental office seems to have all the latest technology. I'm happy we found this dental practice
