A nice place with horrible seating. Easy in and out, the theater seems to be almost cozy, comfortable. The seating, however, is horrible, as at the end of the seat cushion in the back there is something very hard, so you can only utilize 3/4 of the depth of the seat to avoid pain. Just bad. We watched &Juliet, and it was mediocre. It was an okay performance, but after you leave, you don't take any emotion with you, no melody, nothing. No comparison with Cats, Phantom, or even Cinderella. Not an amazing experience all in all.

Saw "& Juliet" at this theater! Let's start with the obvious - more bathrooms are needed. Best of luck to the ladies getting through that line! Once seated, though, the seats were comfortable and the views were great. I highly recommend seeing "& Juliet" while it has a permanent residence - I was v impressed with what the cast and crew were able to do with the space! Hope to be back and see it again soon. Until then, keep dancing!

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening "& Juliet". Great stage presence from the cast. Creative script on imagining Juliet Capulet's life after Romeo. Surprising twist and turns, fun musical numbers and energetic choreography. Laughed when Romeo proclaimed "I'm back from the dead to get my wife. We have unfinished business." The funny banter between William Shakespeare and his wife Anne Hathaway gave the audience two perspectives on "Romeo & Juliet.

It's a great space. It has 3 public levels. The entrance is at balcony level and descends to the lower balcony and orchestra levels. There are 2 large multi-person restrooms on the lower balcony with wide doors for those who need assistance. A lounge area is also located on this level. Concessions are on the orchestra level. They offer popcorn, chips and chocolates along with wine and beer. Such a great time!

In January, I was at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre for a show. My cousin made his broadway debut in a supporting role this night. He is in the musical & Juliet, alongside TikTok sensation Charli D'Amelio, California in the house! The staff who work this theatre are pleasant and professional, everyone from the ushers, bartenders to the merch employees and volunteers. Security was a little cranky pre and post show but I guess that is that. I love the size and feel of the theatre. My best friend from the East Coast and I sat front and center (Note: these were not freebies). We loved every moment in these seats, from the gyrating Romeo to the sweat of Shakespeare. We thought my cousin was the funniest in the show and I loved the input of Shakespeare's wife. The lighting, stage sets and the costumes, just WOW! And, being a jukebox musical, the songs from an era, where you can dance! We took home just about every piece of merch we could carry and we stood in line outside to meet and greet the cast. We kept the confetti that dropped on us in out seats, the woman next to me told me it is good luck! Break a leg cuz! I can't wait to see where you go from here! Note: If you like Brittany (some of her stage items are on display) and music in the show, also Justin Timberlakes, with Can't Stop The Feeling and Katy Perry's ROAR are a blast. #StephenSondheimTheatre #&Juliet #Broadway #CantStopTheFeeling #ROARHere

We went to see &Juliet mid December. We sat in the middle seats of row HH of Mezzanine. These seats were excellent and under $100 each (I believe around $79 a seat). We loved this show - the music- the clever story line. It was funny and very entertaining even for my 17 year old son. The theatre is very close to Bryant Park and about 6 blocks from Rockefeller Center. Go see this play!

Beautiful theatre with seats that actually provide some leg room! We saw & Juliet here last night, fantastic show. Orchestra seats were great. Note, you actually go down a level for orchestra when entering the theatre. The floor above orchestra has a bar and lots of bathrooms. The women's restroom had a massive line and staff informed us that the men's restroom is actually an all genders restroom so as long as we were comfortable walking past men using urinials we were welcome to use. A bunch of us jumped ship to the restroom, noted a couple very confused and uncomfortable men with us ladies in there. There are substantially less stalls in that bathroom so in the end, it was not faster. The line to get into the theater moved very quickly. Would definitely see another show here.

Came to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre to see &Juliet during Broadway week! Nice theatre and not a bad seat in the house. Check in process was quick and staff was friendly and helpful to direct everyone. Restrooms were on the 2nd floor and plenty luckily the lines went quickly so that everyone could get seated quickly before and during the intermission. Definitely a plus but best to go quick. Came to the theater to see &Juliet - loved the show... funny and very entertaining and loved the pop songs of BSB, Britney Spears, and others!! Lucky to watch the show with Joey Fatone (NSync singing BSB) and Charli D'Amelio (Dancing with the Stars and TikTok sensation) for limited time! Go see &Juliet on Broadway! Well done turning William Shakepeare's play into a musical... and makes one want to dance in their seats and sing along!

Attended "& Juliet" here. First off, that was a fantastic show. Get your tickets at the half price ticket center in Times Square. We sat in the center, six rows from the stage, at a Broadway musical gut $115. The theater is historic, smaller than I expected, and had phenomenal acoustics.

&Juliet was such a good play! We got seats towards the back of the mezzanine but were still able to see the whole stage. Wonderful soundtrack & cast, and the theater was very well maintained. The seats were more spacious than some of the older theaters on Broadway. would definitely recommend!

I came here to see a matinee showing of &Juliet and I was pleasantly surprised by the organization, friendliness, and design of the theatre. The staff were also really helpful and the place felt so clean! Overall, I had a wonderful and smooth experience here. The effects during the show were really well done too. Confetti, sparklers, fireworks??? Quite extravagant. Sound quality was perfect from orchestra. Even though I was LITERALLY in the last row (Row U), the view was great and the lighting made everything clear.

Went to see & Juliet .. Good show if you're interested. The theatre's is beautiful and wonderful . I went to see beautiful there in the past and the theatre's is even more beautiful. I love the interior. Very very nice place. I live this theatre it's one of my favorites.

Old school theatre... could use an upgrade as the seats are a big rough. Even the elevator is slow lol. Got to see & Juliet - very good show.

I can write many reasons to see Hamilton, the Broadway musical…read more 1. The lyrics resonates depth with meaning. 2. The music is a blend that draws heavily of hip-hop, rap, R&B, soul, pop, and traditional Broadway show tunes. Modernized to 2015 era. Theatre patrons will not fall asleep. Theatre patrons will not be bored. Your ticket price paid is worth the theatrical experience. 3. It is based on the biography Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States who was an instrumental supporter of the U.S. Constitution who fought alongside President George Washington in the Revolutionary War. His work laid the foundation of America whose face is worthy to be depicted on the U.S. $10.00 bill. 4. It depicts history of Hamilton's journey beginning as a Caribbean immigrant rising to America's first Secretary of the Treasury. It is deeply rooted in New York City history. It depicts American history of the opposition fight for independence and creation Independence of United States of America. He is buried in Trinity Church, Financial District, Lower Manhattan, NYC. It also narrates Aaron Burr's rivalry and jealously Hamilton's strong ambition, brilliance, and determination to rise. "Hamilton wrote the other 51!" Running time: about 2 hours and 45 minutes including a 15 minute intermission. I went to the room where it happens. I write this review like I was running out of time. Yesterday is a memory. Today is an opportunity. Tomorrow is not promised. Non-stop. Keep writing! I tell my story of my experience. It was exciting, lively and upbeat which does takes you back in time of Revolutionary America in 18th century period clothing with modern language and modern music. Ticket prices are highly extortionate! Tickets starts $127.00 to $155.00 for upper balcony or standard face-value seats. My rear orchestra center ticket was an astonishing extortionate $228.00! Hamilton, the Broadway musical makes use of the Richard Rodgers Theatre's double-nested rotating stage (turntables) prominently to create a dynamic, continuous movement and cinematic flow. I wish I saw the 2015 original cast Alexander Hamilton (Lin-Manuel Miranda) and Aaron Burr (Leslie Odom Jr.). Wait for it. Forward, eleven (11) years later I am now seeing it in 2026. I now have another Playbill and Broadway show ticket to add to my growing Playbill collection. Casting is non-white actors as the Founding Fathers of the United States and other historical figures for inclusion and equality. As per Lin-Manuel Miranda, songwriter, actor, and producer who described Hamilton: "America then, as told by America now." There is no traditional stage curtain for this Broadway show, but it did start and end on time - on point. There are 34 musical numbers total (17 musical numbers in each Act). The narrative is almost entirely sung and rapped through, thus, the numbers flow directly into each other without the traditional pause to segue in-between numbers. There is very little dialogue for spoken word as I would like a mix. There are occasional expletive explicit laden lyrical lines/ verses depicting strong explicit language "goddamnit." This includes uncensored F-word during the indiscretion of Hamilton's affair. "Cabinet Battle #1" & "Cabinet Battle #2" feature insults and harsher colloquial terms as "pain in the ass" and "shit." There are other numbers where expletive explicit laden lyrical embedded are "bastard" and "whore." Surely, my teddy bears speak more eloquently than thee! My predilection for Hamilton musical numbers are: Satisfied Wait For It That Would Be Enough Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story Live with intention. My passions and interests entice me to pursue more to look around. "When everyone who loves me has died" this I can absolutely relate. "Death does not discriminate. It takes and it takes and it takes. I am the one thing in life I can control. I am an original." These versus resonate depth for meaning. Rise Up!

This was a fine experience. I'm not really a Fallon fan but the experience of watching a 'live to…read moretape' recording was pretty interested. We didn't have tickets, so we went to the gift shop at 30 rock through the 6th ave entrance to score some stand-by tickets. We arrived what I would call late, at about 11am. If you want to get these stand-by tickets I'd recommend arriving as close to 8am as you can, because every ticket is numbered and they can only fit so many people into the studio (they will always try to fill it). If I recall correctly the tickets said to come back to 30 rock at 3:15 but note - if you arrive a bit later, say 3:30, it won't effect your chances of getting in - the most you can do to increase your chances to see a show that day by walking in is to get there at 8am when they first start giving out the numbered stand-by tickets. Also, while they say you cant bring in bags, I had a smaller sized north face backpack and my friend had a large plastic bag and a small purse. If your number gets you in to see the show that day, you will pass through security like at an airport. Everything is extremely orderly and organized, the only stressful part is 'am I going to get in to see the show or did I just spend an hour and a half of my day for nothing.' My friend and I just got in under the wire, with the guy behind us being the very last person to stand-by for this day's show (there were about 56 stand-by visitors accepted that day). You will have an opportunity to use a bathroom before you sit for the filming, so don't be concerned about that. If you're a fan of TV or of Fallon you might prepare a question or two to ask him, he took a number of questions from the audience. The funniest one was 'are you going to use that entire bit you just did' because Jimmy and Drew Brees spitting pumpkin seeds went on far, far, FAR too long, about 3? minutes, which was about 2:45 longer than it needed to be. Jimmy was quick with the 'no, that's going to be edited down.'

Highly recommend going to see this show when in NYC if you are a history kinda person. Had a great time blogging on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 7PM EST. I'd sat in Row J - Seat 116. FYI, no matter where you sit in the theater you'll have an incredible view of the stage. This play was about 100 minutes with no intermission.
