I have extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist because of a bad experience when I was young (tried another dentistry once, then ran back to Dr. Dean) and I can always trust Dr. Dean to take care of me. Today, I had the extreme pleasure of having Dr. Scott do some dental work on me and she is AMAZING. She's kind, patient, explains everything she is doing, and makes sure I feel comfortable 100% of the time work is being done. I'm so glad to have found another trustful dentist!

I asked about pain relief and whether I could get a prescription for 600 mg Tylenol (similar to what I was given previously), but instead I was offered ibuprofen from the assistant personal stash. That added insult to injury to insult as I can buy that myself. I was expecting to be told how I could manage the pain like alternate motrin with Tylenol something more than the dismissive way we were handled today. I was given antibiotics, hope the work like quick cause I've been in pain for a week now just trying to figure out how to manage without taking my head off. I was also frustrated that the assistant never came in, to discuss anything when she came in we had been waiting for about 20 minutes, long enough for me to make an Ad and post it. I didn't feel like I was truly heard. but the overall care felt cold and dismissive.In addition I don't have insurance yet, so I had to pay out of pocket. I expected better communication and support. I won't be going back. I can't tell you where to go, but I can tell you where not to go.

When I first visited, I had what I felt was a dental emergency. Dr Spearman was able to see me within 1 hour of my call. That visit required some rather extensive work which Dr Spearman was able to complete in about 4 hours and allowed me to return home in comfort. Dr Spearman created for me an absolutely perfect bridge of three teeth that snaps in and out easily and is absolutely invisible. Now that my work is completed there is room for you.

Dr. Deems is a 'keep-an-eye-on-it' dentist who intervenes when necessary, but does not push needless, expensive treatments. In my experience, he seems to have the patient's best interests at heart. Dr. Deems always takes his time to talk with me - more time than most dentists typically take. They have a wall-mounted TV so you can see your x-rays and....mouth images* while having areas of concern pointed out. *They have this cool new technology that I haven't seen before that uses intense light to image your teeth in a way that is different (and safer) than x-rays. Long story short, Dr. Covington made several severe problems worse - to the point where several other dentists in Little Rock were SHOCKED at the work that Dr. Covington did (Dr. Covington drilled down one of my tooth to where the tooth was 50/50 tooth to filling). It's very clear Dr. Covington is not knowledgeable (he even admitted halfway through a procedure he was uncomfortable with some of the work, after already starting all the work). This man should not be practicing dentistry and should lose his license.
