It's unfortunate to have to leave a bad review because I live down the street and the place was super cute, so obviously I wanted to love it! I will also say that she was very accommodating to change my appointment day, she had me come in at 8pm the day I contacted her. My appointment was the following day and I asked if I could change it to whatever other day time she had available she chose the same day at 8. At the end of my service the lashes did looked cute. However, NOT EVEN 24 hours later one of my eye is missing more than half of the lashes. I followed every single instruction and watched the video on how to clean them. I was also prepared to go within the week to get a fill. Once I noticed how drastically the one eye lost the lashes I reached out to the owner to get clarification being it had been years since I got lashes. Her response was that it would be $55 to get a refill and that my lashes were thin and that she recommended volume not classic and that she doesn't even recommend classic (her website had the full set classic promotion going on) keep in mind it hasn't even been 24 hours and I had just paid for a full set plus tip. I did not expect to be missing half the lashes from one eye. Thin lashes or not if that were the reason behind the loss it would be from both eyes not just one which proves it had to do with application. Overall I won't be returning, so if you're new to lashes I would suggest going some place else because the owner doesn't stand by her work and her excuse was that I signed the waiver saying I understood (no where on there does it say there was a risk of losing half the eyelashes in less than 24 hours). If I'm going for a natural look why would I go with volume? The waiver doesn't excuse poor service. The acceptable response would have been for you to take 30 mins out of your day to fix the issue, being it was only one eye which clearly means there was an issue with the application not my lashes if not both eyes would have lost the lashes not just one. I also took time out of my day and paid for a service so that's not a legitimate excuse. read more

I needed a removal done from another lash tech and Steph seriously helped me out. It was my first time getting extensions and my first time getting a removal. I was getting some anxiety throughout the process but she eased it by explaining to me what she was doing and what her process was. I texted to confirm my appointment time the morning of. Prior to arrival, I made sure to text Stephanie again of potentially being a few minutes late due to circumstances out of my control, and if we can push the time up...no response. Nevertheless, I ended up being on time anyway. When I got to the building, it was completely locked. I was told by a passerby that there's no one there! I happened to come across Steph's Yelp page when trying to a new lash lady that was closer to me. Turns out, her salon is literally only three minutes away from my house. And booking appointments were a breeze. When it finally came to my appointment, Steph was very detailed about everything she was doing. She took her time to explain everything and made sure everything was the way she wanted it to be. When we were finished with the lashes, we both realized that the length of the lashes could've been a little longer. Do yourself a favor and visit Steph. I was really nervous going in for the appointment, but she walked me through the process before preceding. She's fantastic and her work is great. The whole process was really simple and relaxing. Just listen to what she asks of you including aftercare and during the procedure and it turns out great. I had waited for a long time to try lash extensions and I have to admit I was scared! Setting up my appointment was easy! A day prior Steph sent me instructions on how to prepare for my lash extensions. I arrived 15min prior to my appointment and I filled out basic info. I love Steph's Lash Boutique!!!!! I am in Hawaii in humid weather where it is raining lightly off and on and I am at the beach and am even occasionally wearing makeup or use oil based cleanser (not good for lash retention) yet my lashes are still on (despite what an older negative review says). I am one of the least high maintenance girls there are. I only get lashes as a confidence boost every now and then or for a special occasion like a vacation and let me tell you what she always delivers!!!! I really wanted to get my eyelashes done. But this time around I wanted to go to someone professional. About two years ago I went to a nail. L that put eyelashes underneath my eyelid. It was the most horrendous experience. So I dropped my son off at a babysitter and went. She did an amazing job, despite my eyelid twitching alot due to the amount of caffeine I drink everyday, lol.
