Andrew Sterling is a wonderful photographer and very personable. We met with Andrew in his home studio and scheduled our wedding photography with him. He took the time to get to know both of us and provided a number of portfolio and wedding photos to review. We booked our engagement photos with him and were very happy with the images we received and felt at ease during the photography session. Andrew was extremely responsive and helpful during the entire wedding planning process. He even assisted us with re-sizing a photo we had taken to use for the wedding reception table. On the day of the wedding, Andrew was "everywhere" but also silent in his presence during the ceremony and reception. He was very organized with the formal wedding shots and was able to quickly take photos so that we were able to enjoy some of our cocktail reception with our guests. We received a link with our images and the rights to all of our images as well. The wedding photos turned out beautifully and captured every moment of our ceremony and reception, which was terrific since we opted not to have a videographer. We highly recommend Andrew. i recently did a boudoir style photoshoot with sterling images for my boyfriend as a valentine's day present...let's just say he was shocked at the gift and how stunningly beautiful it turned out. i haven't ever done a photoshoot before so i was a little nervous, but that quickly subsided when i got started. andrew's studio is in his home, making it all the more inviting and comfortable. the shoot was more than i could've imagined. i practically brought my entire closet not knowing what to wear, thinking i'd go with the flow. and that's exactly what happened. andrew is a true artist, an orchestrator of movement. he guided me to be myself, move naturally in different positions, capturing an array of emotions, dramatic and playful, while incorporating a play of light and color to make the most captivating of effects. i'm so happy with the album layout and design andrew fabricated with the photographs i chose as the final cut. i would encourage anyone to go to andrew sterling to have their photographs taken, whether it be a boudoir style shoot as mine, engagement, family, friends, headshots, anything. his talent and experience shine through his work by capturing the energy and spirit of whomever he's working with. simply beautiful. read more

Several days ago, my daughters and I met with Andrew for an event he did in Bastrop, Texas. He staged his event in the heartbreakingly beautiful burnt forests, left by the Labor Day wildfires. As we are fire survivors, the setting was very meaningful. Andrew, while professional, was extremely easy to be around...very thoughtful and empathetic. He was really creative with the poses and angles of his shots. We all felt at complete ease and the whole session was very enjoyable. When I was able to see the photos, in record time, I was absolutely blown away. I have never liked the stiff, posed looking professional photos we have done in the past. Andrew took us to a whole new place. He captured our soul. His photographs told our story...and literally took my breath away. I have seen some of his other work since and it is all exquisite. I've known Andrew Sterling for over about 36 years now. He is a photographic genius. As he says in his profile, he's edgy -- which is to say he is not your typical "portrait" photographer. Over the years he has shot images of me, my family, & our friends. He did a wonderful job at my parents' 60th wedding anniversary in Dallas -- and sadly, later, put together a marvelous set of large prints for my father's funeral last year.
