I was looking for a tint shop and found these guys online, read some reviews and tried to make an appointment online but there was an issue with that part of site so I called the next day explained to the owner what happened he got me in immediately and as soon as I got to shop he wanted a pic of issue with appointment scheduling so he could reach out to his web designer and get that fixed. The waiting room was comfortable. They got my vehicle back as soon as the customer in front of me was done. It had taken longer than promised which was fine but the owner went above and beyond bought me lunch and gave me a discount. To start off I want to say that I don't write reviews at all. This is only my second Yelp review ever, and my first completely positive one. I'm also very much a "go big or go home" person and don't like "cheaping out" on purchases like these (I want to make sure I get my money's worth on a product that'll last). Because of that, I tend to over-research everything... and somehow still end up with buyer's remorse. So if anything, consider this 5-star review more like a 6. (My experience is specifically referring to the location in El Dorado Hills off of Golden Foothill Pkwy). A few months ago I brought in my Mazda3 hatchback with completely untinted windows. This is my first car that I just purchased and I was pretty unfamiliar with tinting as a whole so I did a lot of research on tint options. I learned I wanted a high-quality ceramic film for their strong UV/heat rejection (I didn't care too much about the privacy aspect), and I specifically had my eye on LLumar products which I heard great things about online. I reached out to a few places in the area but decided to go with Sterling which I have no regrets on. I messaged them on Yelp and recieved a response super quick which broke down pricing, tint levels, and differences in quality. Karen was the one who helped me out since Kevin was away at a convention, and he was awesome from start to finish. When I called, he already knew who I was from Yelp so I didn't have to repeat everything, which was a small thing but honestly made a great first impression. When I came in for my appointment, he walked me through the options in person, actually holding different films up to the glass so I could see the shades and tones (some more gray, some more brown). This was great because I can be real picky at times so it was nice actually seeing the tints. He even let me get into his own car to check out his tints (they also offered me a vehicle to drive so I could run errands instead of sitting around but I had nothing to do so I declined). I ended up going with the IRX level at 35% tint, along with a clear tint on the windshield to help keep the car cool. The install itself came out super clean. They kept me updated the whole time and made sure I knew what to expect after. They informed me that any bubbles left should disappear within 48 hours but if I ran into any issues I should reach out. While I did notice a small line of tiny bubbles still present on the third day, it had been cloudy and I park inside so I figured they just hadn't gotten the opportunity to go away. Sure enough, I parked it outside in the sun for a couple hours and they all went away. Everything settled perfectly and now it looks 10/10. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results. The quality of the work, the communication, and the customer service all stood out. I've already referred 3 friends here, and they've all had nothing but good things to say as well. Cannot recommend enough! TL;DR: Super picky, did tons of research, and still ended up impressed. Overall couldn't be happier with the result. read more
