We all wanted to try something different. My first time here, and I enjoyed the scenery of the lake, picnic areas, and the monuments. Very nice family park for people of all ages. Plenty of tables to eat it. Restrooms are kept clean too. It was just exciting to be here. We will all make plenty of trips here again.

The play area is turf and surrounded by picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, with plenty of shade. The design is thoughtful and makes for a great place to spend an afternoon. The parking is free and right next to the play area. It feels secluded and somehow also right in the middle of everything. The only thing missing is a bathroom and while I understand that it's prevent homeless people from moving in, it does limit the amount of time that anyone can hang out here (especially with littles). Still a nice place to enjoy a coffee or picnic and let the kiddos play.

It has a baseball diamond, an open grassy area, some nondescript trees, and a playground. There really isn't too much more to write home about on this one unfortunately. The park is adjacent to a school, and the park also has a "Friendly Center". What this is, I have no idea. I guess its a center where everyone is friendly? Sounds fantastic if you ask me. If you don't ask me, then tough crap. I live not too far from this park and I could see myself taking Lucy over there to play ball with her, let her run around, pee on the grass. The worst part was lots of lazy parenting. People sitting on the side and not paying attention to what their kids are doing at all. Not sure if this is the norm here. Why do i Love this park? 1. close to home…read more2. It is dog friendly: this is where we walk our dogs daily. 3. Big area- you can play basketball, volleyball and big field for soccer, football and baseball. also i see a lot of dog owners playing with their dogs here. 4. Newly renovated toddler playground with cover and new soft flooring. 5. you can see Catalina Island and watch a nice sunset from here as well. The gardeners clean and mow the grass on a weekly basis. They just need to pay more attention the walkway area going to the park coz when the water flows downhill, the dirt and wood chips tend to run towards the walkway.( reason for 4 stars) Also you need to be careful walking after 5 when it's dark coz there are coyotes running on the field.
