Joseline, the manager at this location is not friendly or helpful. I had a coupon that did NOT say it couldn't be used with other promotions and she would not honor it. The girl at the register was about to do it for me until Joseline came up and said no- she said the front of the book states that each store can modify its policies as they wish. So my bestfriend and I went to this Steve Madden location yesterday (09/05/2019) , and the manager on duty for the closing shift (wearing a denim jacket) was SO rude. She had a really bad attitude and tone, and you could tell she just didn't enjoy working there. We were told that shoes we put on hold were going to be held until they closed and when we came back, they were put back by the manager, as said by the employee she was working with. We both really love Steve Madden and haven't had any poor experiences other then this one, but the manger is what sets the tone for the entire store and this definitely wasn't a positive experience. On a side note, the employee that was working was absolutely great! She was knowledgeable and very kind! She was happy to help us and had a super positive attitude! EXTREMELY RUDE!!! This store has very poor customer service, corporate needs to be contacted. Store was closing 10 min before it's actually closing time at 7, as I finished in one store and headed over that way, there was 5 min to spare, I knew the EXACT shoe I wanted cause it was in the window, and the rude ass worker meets me at the gate to close the gate even more, I showed her my cellphone time and told her it was not yet 7, as the other stores were allowing people to shop up to the last min. I called regarding a pair a shoes I purchased online at Steve Madden.com and I was told that I could return them in store as long as I had a receipt or email confirmation number. I drove out from riverside only to be told that because I didn't have a box and they were "worn" ( which they weren't), that I couldn't return them. I have NEVER received such poor customer service. It really hurts me to see all these negative reviews on this place. I came here this past weekend with my sisters and we had a blast in here! They had so many good sales. One of my sisters left with 5 pairs of heels and spent only 80 dollars. Now that is unheard of for Steve Madden shoes! Anyone who has purchases his shoes, knows they normally start at 80 dollars for 1 pair. They staff was friendly and the check out process was very quick. I visited the Ontario mills store January 11. I had to return some shoes, that I hadn't had the chance to do so. I was aware that the return was going to be processed as an expired return because it had passed the 30 days, and was aware based on the return policy on the receipt that I would only get store credit, at the current price which was absolutely fine because all I wanted was to return the shoes. I go in and the associate says they can not process the return because it has passed the 30 days. I tried to explain that in the return policy printed in the back of my original receipt states that I was able to return an expired return for store credit at the current price, but the associate leslie was extremely rude, and kept interrupting me when I was simply trying to understand why she couldn't accept it if the policy said it was acceptable. she kept interrupting and was extremely condescending. After I left, her and the 2 other workers who were all at the register by the way, no one was servicing the floor but that's besides the point, laughed as I walked out. I understand if the return wasn't possible if the shoes were worn, without the original boxes but that wasn't the case. Leslie again was extremely rude and condescending, and treated me like I had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I would like to give Anna (manager) a 5 star for helping my sister in law find the right size for some shoes. Unfortunately for the other Anna Karen (manager) i would like to give no stars. My sister went to pay using her debit card which she had been using for disneyland the day before. The card was declined my sister ask the manager to try it again and she replied with a rude tone "well if it declines again you need to use a different card" i explained to my sister sometimes the bank allows you to withdraw certain amount of money in a 24hr period. You walk in, they won't even greet you. right now they currently have that roulette thing where you can get BOGO 50% off, 30% or 20% and people are walking in and that girl in front/beside the roulette (blonde girl) (obviously an employee) didn't even look at the customer coming in, instead she was gossiping with 3 other employees and the other couple that came in just did the roulette among themselves and that's when she turned around. I have an order from December 15, 2017 that has yet to be refunded to me. This coming Monday will mark a month without my funds being returned to my account. I ordered a product on December 15th with the hopes of arrival by December 25th. Without any notice of delay from the company, I did not believe there was any reason to expect one. I continued to track the item up and until the 24th, when suddenly the tracking information updated to say the delivery date had changed to December 28th. When I got in touch with customer service, who I had already been in touch with three times by this point because no tracking information was posted online originally, they told me that there had been a delay with the package. I proceeded to ask why they chose to not relay this information to me earlier. They had little to no answers or remorse. I finally decided to cancel the order mid-ship and the company requested "return to sender" through UPS and I watched the package for yet another week make its way back to the warehouse. It has now been three whole days since the return of the item and no refund has been made. If you're looking for a company to guarantee you a product, only to let you down and hold your money hostage, you've come to the right place. I went to purchase a pair of clear and tan hills Thursday afternoon on 9/20/18 around 1:30 and I was excited that they had 1 pair left in my size. I open the shoe box and see that shoes were really dirty, as if someone purchased these shoes wore them out then returned them . I wanted the shoe so bad that I went to one of the ladies working there and asked if there was anything we can do to clean these shoes up because I love the style . She politely said yes I will see if I can clean them up and remove the stains. She spent about 5 minutes cleaning the shoe and it looked the same , worn at the bottom and a big black stain on the side of the hill. I said ok well I'm still interested in the shoe but I don't feel comfortable paying $90 for a pair of used hills . She said let me run to ask my manager and see what we can do for you I understand! She came right back and sorry the shoe is sold as is and the manager doesn't feel there's damage to the shoe!! The damage was visual you can see stains throughout but I loved the shoe that much I still would purchased the item USED. The manager showed no sympathy and lost out on a total of 4 shoes being sold that day . I personally had two pair of shoes and my coworker had two pairs in her shoes . Use too love this store not so much after my visit last night. The Manger CYNTHIA has horrible customer service, I was purching a pair of shoes it was the last pair and also the display so the shoe was dirty. I asked if I was able to order or if they will be having a shipment coming in this weekend they said no so I asked if I can get any type of discount cause the shoe was visibly stained in the front of the heel the employee said no since there already discounted and I was like I know but they are dirty and it's a pretty big stain so I tell her if she can call her manager so manager comes tells me the same thing and that they already discounted blah blah and I'm like I understand that but I am buying a brand new shoe and it's stained all the other shoes are also discounted and they are not stained so it's not like these are on sale because they are dirty, so she pulls out her cleaning tools and starts making the stain even worst and by this time she already has a bad attitude and I'm annoyed. After couple mins she's like ok I can do 10% and they'll be final sale and I said ok but you made the stain even worst now and she's like no I didn't so I told her to finish cleaning it since that's what she wanted to do in the first place and rolled her eyes. This manager was acting like I was taking the 10% from her check. I worked in retail 10% is not going to make your store go broke. if I am purchasing a brand new shoe and it is visibly dirty there should be discount or u should only have it up for display not to sell. Customer Service = THE WORST! I never thought I would need to make a Yelp review for a retail store, like Steve Madden, or read a review in advance for such a retail store. However, I had a horrendous experience today and would like it to be known to future customers of this particular location and the brand itself. I am a Steve Madden fanatic and decided this store would be perfect to spend my holiday money while getting some great discounts. So I found a shoe I liked - the Dakota in Nude. Since incepting in the store not one representative greeted me or asked me if I needed help - give it was a small store with only 3 customers and 4 reps. I ended up asking a rep for help (after she asked a non-paying customer if she found anything she liked). I told her that I wanted the Dakota in Nude in a 7.5 and she said okay and walked off. I patiently waited on the four-square seating area for 10 MINUTES, and turned around and noticed the same rep who I asked the shoes from just hanging out at the register doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! She never bothered to come back with the shoe or tell me whether that shoe was available. I immediately found the closest rep and told him that she never came back and that I would like the shoe. He in fact came back with the shoe and apologized for the rudeness of his co-worker. Unfortunately his kindness cannot substitute for the horrendous service of his other co-worker. I have worked for retail stores and restaurants, and know the value of customer service.
