They quoted me an excellent price for car and home. I paid them. They told me to cancel homeowners. I did. They denied coverage (i assume because my roof is older, but was never told why). They increased my auto payment $86. Stay far away. read more

Over time I got married, replaced vehicles, and bought a house with my husband. State Farm's rates were very competitive with other options we looked into, and provide an amazing value when bundling! Not only that but you won't find a team better than this one in Memphis! Last weekend our brand new car was broken into... we had 2 windows busted out and the back seat damaged. The frustration that comes with being the victim of a robbery/break-in is beyond words. We worked so hard to buy a new vehicle just to have someone selfishly destroy it for little to no gain for them. The morning after it happened, I seriously felt NO sense of security. Calling State Farm (specifically talking to Wendy) was the BEST thing that happened to us all week. She took care of the claim immediately without me lifting a finger, and TRULY CARED about us. Not only that but she went above and beyond by doing research for me even after the filing the claim. My wallet was stolen in the incident, and that meant no drivers license to get a rental car. Wendy was able to get me approved for Uber reimbursement while the car is being repaired (which I didn't even ask for but she found that as a solution anyway)! I'd like to start by saying if you want an insurance agent that picks up the phone for your emergency and prioritizes you Steve Womack and his employees are not the agency you want to go with. A storm came through and messed up our roof and water was pouring in. It took a week and a half of me calling them and blowing up their phones for any progress to be made at all. The State Farm side is even worse. They just sent someone out to look at our roof and they won't cover it because a sudden event didn't happen to cause the water damage. I didn't have a roof leak, the storm came, my roof started leaking, but it's not an immediate event. No water -- storm -- water damage. No causation according to them so no roof repair. They'll fix the inside of my house just for it to get damaged again the next time a storm comes through. It's a sorry excuse for an insurance agency and I would absolutely avoid using them at all costs. If the worst happens and your property is damaged State Farm will do everything in the conniving power not to cover you. Buyer beware! Edit -- check your policy to make sure Steve Womack doesn't grossly overcharge you for Homeowners insurance. The adjuster that came out let me know we're paying on a policy for more than 150k than we could possibly ever need. When you sleep with dogs you wake up with fleas. Don't let this man have your money and if you really must have someone make an estimate on your house so you know you're not over paying and lining his pockets. read more

The refund was received, however, the Month of April and May this location has attempted to increase my monthly premium. Even though we disputed the Claim Adjuster's initial assessment of liability, they listened to and considered my dispute. My policy was canceled after I was repeatedly assured it would not be by Bryan. They asked for property pictures, I sent them, then they ask for them again. They asked for additional documents, I sent them, then they asked for them again. I got a letter stating  my policy was canceled, I emailed them, they told me not to worry, all was well, then I get a refund check in the mail. Called them again, they said don't cash the check, that they would get back to me, they didn't. Called again, they didn't know why my policy was canceled. Apparently they had no idea what was going on with my policy. Finally got fed up and scramble to find insurance from somewhere else as the property had none. Train wreck. read more

State Farm has been our home and auto insurance for over 10 years. We had very professional agent in Austin, moved to Memphis four years ago and chose a midtown State Farm agent, Steve Womack. In four years we have never even spoken to this person Steve Womack whom has his name on this business. His office has called us regarding changing our credit card to a State Farm credit card, our mortgage to a mortgage through State Farm, which neither of these services were requested by me or my husband. But when long term care insurance (LTC) information was requested, we were not given the information, first phone call I made requesting LTC insurance I was told, "information will be sent to you," no information ever came via mail or email. Second LTC insurance request phone call- I was told "someone will call you in five minutes", no one called back. If you are looking for an agent whom does a periodic review of your insurance coverage to ensure your needs and concerns are met this is not the agent to choose from midtown. This morning when I called to cancel our policies with State Farm because of this agent, (or lack of an agent) the office manager spoke with me. Why didn't Steve Womack speak with me? Wow... I had been so impressed with them. I have only used State Farm my entire life. However, I was recently deemed non renewable. Loyalty means nothing with State Farm. This particular agent is always friendly, but State Farm as a whole, I would not recommend it. read more
