I have only been coming to Dr Wernick for a couple months but I have already seen enough to know that he is one of the best dentists I have ever had. I have moved around with the military and have had over 10 dentists and although some had great chairside manners and some were skillful, Dr Wernick is both. He is super polite and tells you everything he is doing or recommends. He seems to have a great attention to detail. Just a genuinely nice guy - I even saw him pick up printouts for his front office lady, and after my appointment (which was just before lunch), I saw him leaving with his staff to take them out to lunch, which I have never seen from a doctor. (They seem to work well together and like each other!). His dental assistant (think her name is Marlene) is also super nice and funny too. And the front desk lady (sorry, I'm bad with names!) is professional, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable with billing details. Anyhow, thank you for all your help with my teeth!!! PS. Btw, he accepts the military dental insurance (active duty family members) which most dentists do not. So thank you for your support of the troops indirectly! ... I am always dismayed at how most dentists and doctors don't indirectly support the military by their choice of which carriers to accept. PPS. This is my honest and unbiased opinion. Dr. Wernick is Great! Knows what he's doing, is virtually pain-free, only does what's truly needed, not what's great for his wallet. Good "bed-side" manners, explains everything and answers your questions. Just left 2 hours of prepping for 2 crowns, tons of drilling with novacaine, temps built and sent me on my way with instructions that made things very manageable and was even able to go teach a class at university. He's great...really. OBTW, Susie, the office manager really knows the insurance world and really helps you out. Laura the hygienist is soft and thorough when cleaning teeth and Marlene works well with Dr. Wernick doing the work. All around a great team. Can't wait to go back on 31st. for my 2 crowns If you are looking for a dentist, search no more. Check them out. Lastly...wonderful with kids. read more

Looking for an awesome dentist? STOP right here! I've been going to this dental office for 10 years and I can't fully express into words how much I love this dental office! I used to avoid going to the dentist because of the anxiety I would get. However, I've never felt that way at this dental office! His entire staff are genuine, good people and treat you like family. You can tell that they love their jobs and truly care. I had severe root canal pain during a holiday weekend not too long ago. Dr. Wernick and Laura left their New Year's Eve festivities to help/meet me at the office to help alleviate the pain I was having. The fact that he would be willing to go out of his way on a holiday to help make mine less painful, meant a lot!! That speaks volumes about their character! The office is beautiful and always perfectly clean. The tvs on the wall and ceiling at every chair, are my favorite feature! I'm so thankful a friend of mine referred me here many years ago! Nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Wernick's dental office. My wife and I are relatively new to the Carlsbad/ Oceanside area and I initially went to his office to have a chipped crown looked at (put in 9 months prior by a previous dentist), which was concerning me. Dr. Wernick examined the tooth/ crown, gave me my options, told me he recommended a new crown (which I agreed with). He and all of his office staff made the procedure for the new crown seamless and successful. The office hours are also excellent, I was able to come in prior to work, and not miss a beat. Lastly, he and the office staff always explain why and what they were doing, before doing it, and they were always keeping my comfort level in mind throughout the procedure. My replacement crown is performing very, very well and I couldn't be happier. I would, without hesitation, recommend Dr. Wernick's office for all dental needs from cleanings to more complex work such as fillings and crowns. read more

If you are looking for a GREAT dentist ....this REALLY is the dentist for you. Growing up my parents didn't take us to the dentist or even teach us about dental hygiene... Needless to say, because of this, my teeth were already in poor shape by the time I reached early adulthood....Then I had a couple of REALLY BAD/ PAINFUL experiences with dentist's and stopped going all together. When I did go it was because of a toothache.....and rather than go through another painful root canal or anything like that I would just have them pull the tooth. As you can imagine....I'm missing a few teeth. My husband was Dr Wernick's 1st patient in our family...and he was thoroughly impressed after only 1 visit with him. Then we started taking our kids to see Dr Wernick and they really like him too. This left only 1 person in our house that was not seeing a dentist regularly....and of course I started getting pressured to make myself an appointment. Well, I FINALLY made myself an appointment. At 1st my heart was racing and I'm sure my blood pressure was through the roof!! I literally have a "white-knuckle" fear of Dentists ....but I'm not afraid of Dr Wernick!! He truly is the MOST gentle dentist that I have EVER been to..and I have been to my fair share of them. He and his staff are so kind and compassionate. I really am so happy that we found Dr Wernick. Regarding Dr. Wernick; He is a FIVE STAR Dentist! Trust Him! The dental treatment I received from this Dr. was nothing short of wonderful. I unfortunately had a chipped back molar with a small cavity& needed repair. Also, needed a molar restored on the opposite side too. The teeth feel great now , look perfect& my bite when I bite down is perfect too! Thankfully Dr. W is calm, gentle, and makes me feel at ease as a patient because I am a big baby in the dental chair. His team is friendly too and caring. Things go so smoothly there. I happen to love the Dental Hygienist. She is so good at what she does! If you are looking for a top notch, professional dentist that is conservative yet meticulous at what he does, I highly recommend this office. Its so clean too, has a few bells and whistles serving beverages in the waiting room, friendly service, and nice toothbrushes for you to come and brush with just in case you are in a hurry getting there& need to freshen up before heading into your appointment, its great. I love the tv's built into the ceiling too. One of my friends drives down from Big Bear to go to his office because she is so happy with the care she receives. Previously, we had gone to a dentist on our insurance plan that actually was more costly.... not to mention we had so many problems with the sub-standard care.
