He spent a good deal of time with me going over my concerns. I feel he doesn't suggest treatment unless it's absolutely necessary and, when necessary, he takes the course of treatment that is best for the child and not his own personal ease. The waiting room is fun and inviting for little people-- there is a movie playing as well as video games for kiddos to play with while they wait. They also give out tokens for prizes after the visit. It's all the little things that allow my daughter to feel at ease that mean a lot. We are so happy we found this practice!

My son was in need of dental extractions. I fought with antibiotics and conservative measures to delay what was likey inevitabile, surgical extraction. Yet when he started to complain of pain, I accepted it was time for surgery. My wife sought out multiple doctors and practices before presenting Desert Ridge Dentistry and team to me as the practice of choice. When I arrived at the office, I was in awe. The space/astronaut/space ship theme had me feeling like I was in outer space. The intense attention to detail, efforts to emulate an out of this world experience put me into a calm state of mind. I thought to myself, if such efforts and passion were put into designing the clinic, I can only imagine what care would be put into my son's surgical procedure. The staff continued to impress me, matching the state of the clinic, flawless! Caring, compassion, instructions and guidance shared from every member of the ancillary staff. As my son and family were "lifted off" into the pre-op holding room, shortly thereafter walked in the doctor. Her confidence and love for my child as if he was her own radiated throughout the room. Listening intently to my wife's additional questions and concerns followed thereafter with a prayer to a shared higher power. Next, we were met by a pediatric anesthesiologist who kept the tone and vibes all positive. I had the privilege of carrying my son into the operative room, where he was greeted by a team of confident, up beat support staff. The anesthesiologist placed a mask over his face, son drifting off to sleep. I walked out of that room with all reservations alleviated. I felt my son was loved and in amazing god gifted hands. The procedure went as flawlessly as that office was run. A knowledgeable, compassionate nurse stayed with my son and I until he was cleared for discharge. The next hour or two as I observed my son at home, went exactly as laid out by the team. Feeling even more so assured that everyone involved at the practice in my son's care provided me with their personal cell phone number shoud I have any questions. The lenght of this review obviously to show gratitude to a world renowned doctor and team, but more so to any parent to alleviate concerns or reservations when it involves the very thing that your world revolves around, sun rises and sets for, their child. My son originally went here with my husband as this was a referral for my 6 year olds multiple cavities. The dentist offered my husband 2 options for treatment- oral sedation or needle sedation. I want to clarify that I was not present for this consultation. The doctor convinced my husband that the best solution was needle sedation and he made an appointment. We spoke about it and I made it clear that I did not want the needle option for our son, I called the office, left a message for the dentist to call me, no call back, I had to call multiple times to finally speak to someone about my anxiety and needing to update the appointment to oral sedation (drink). The appointment was made. The following day, I get a call saying that they will need to cancel the appointment for the oral drink sedation per the dentist and I would need to make a new appointment for the needle sedation with the original dentist. So you gave my husband two choices originally, convinced him to go with the needle sedation, I felt uncomfortable & I asked for the oral drink for my son, the appointment was made for the oral drink, only to get a call the next day to say sorry, nope, your son needs to get a needle sedation. You left me no choice but to cancel the appointment and on top of that, asked if I want the dentist to call me, no thanks. I will say from what my husband and son told me is that aesthetically this is a great place for kids as my son wanted to go back. I feel like I could have had a way different experience had their been clear communication and expectations not talking to different people or having to chase people down.

Great light coming from windows & it is attached to an ortho office so your child can get both things done at the same place. So smart! There are no individual rooms, there are chairs all next to each other In an open room. Parents can sit in a chair next to their child. Then after the visit the kids get a coin to get a special prize out of the machines. On your first visit you get a tshirt, and if you wear your tshirt to your next visit you get 2 coins for 2 prizes :) Overall, the dentist was friendly, helpful and educational. The dental assistant brought us back and showed the kids the nifty tools they use to clean their teeth and got them excited and comfortable in their seats. The cleaning was quick, painless, and the kids did great. I have a horrible fear of the dentist, so I am glad this isn't going to be haunting my next generation. The dentist inspected their baby teeth and all got a good report with directions to brush, ditch the binky, and come back in 6 months. When we left the kids were given tokens for the prize machines which was so fun and clever. They also got t shirts and a new toothbrush and exciting floss!! The office itself is fairly large with a fantastic waiting area for the kids with a fish tank, camping decor, coloring books and crayons, a movie playing, and books to stay entertained. Just having Saturday hours available periodically is a Fantastic way to brighten your smile! I told her that I was her to see about the possibility of a Sleep Apnea mouth piece that I had see on a past card sent out by the office. So she said her fill out all the this and bring it back to me. Let me tell you there is a couch in the waiting room that is gray velvet and dirty with dirty pillows, looks like something you would see in a old Las Vegas hotel, not to mention its about 6 inches off the floor, I might as well set on the floor as most older people like me certainly can't get out of that couch. And then its 115 degrees outside and they have a fake electric fireplace going, like we need to feel warmer. This is not what I would expect of a Dentist office lobby to look like. As im filling out the forms the front staff was still arguing about some staff member there which was very unprofessional. I filled out the papers with my name and etc and returned it to Lynn and she said take a seat. She was more interested in getting her Uber eats delivery than helping patients it seemed. I told her I have the sleep study that my Dr has aleady done and she said to email it to here so she could show it to Lori the Dentist. I sat there for about a half hour and finally a nurse came and got me and said I need to take a picture, which i thought it was just an exray like most dentist do, but come to find out after all said in done it was a CT scan, I was directed back to a room and set in a chair and Lori and some other girl dressed in a black dress came in to see me and they explained the apparatus and she said I was a canidate and she said do you have your sleep study and I told here Lynn had it emailed to the office. I have had a CPAP machine for several months and was seeing about getting something that was easier to use and the post card that was sent in the mail said Some insurances and all medicare plans should cover the entire fee. And I highlight All Medicare Plans. Totally a false statement or a ploy to get money from interested patients seeking the mouth piece. So after she explained it she said I'll call with in the week, and went to leave and I was told I had to pay $275.00 for the CT scan. I was shocked as why I wasn't told about this before hand! So reluctantly I paid for it and went home. I was told the CT scan wasn't covered by my insurance. (False) I think Lynn was to lazy to check my insurance and was more interested in eating her lunch. So after a week I hadn't heard from Lori so I another Dr appointment in the same plaza on Friday the 4th, after that appointment I walked over to Andersen Dentist and there was Lynn setting at the desk, can i get your name, I told her and I said I wasn't here for an appointment that I was here to find out why I hadn't heard from Lori like she had promised and she snapped back at me and said your insurance doesn't cover the mouth piece. I said I want a print out of the statement of the CT scan that she charged me $275 and I said i had called my Insurance Co and they said it was covered 100% and that they see another invoice that Anderson Dental had sent in for another $120 and it was paid for and I had no other resposibilties for that service. I asked Lynn or Melinda why wasn't I told about this $275 cost of this unnecessary procedure, and she said you signed the Truman Document , don't even know what that is but I said could you show a copy, she got pretty snippy with me and I said I would like to see it! She said I can email it to you. I think HEPPA laws prohibit sent that kind of information through email. She said I cant find it right now and I said I'll wait for your. Lynn printed off the statement for the service with the codes on them and gave them to me and I sat and watched her look for the Truman Form that she called it. She then printed a from and then filled it out saying "verbal presetation-patient consented/complete wehre it clearly says Patient signature, date and staff. She said you agreed to the CT scan and I said I did not know anything about this, I said you couldn't even remember my name when I walked in how do you remember me saying I conseted to the CT scan. I said your Lying and you just printed this from and wrote that message on the bottom. I asked to speak to someone and she said Lori was at the other office and she will call me, I said she hasn't called to tell me about the results of the insurance how do you know she will call me. I guess this a scam that Dentist office use to get extra monies, totally unethical way of doing business. That front recepiontist needs and attitude adjustment and a lesson on how to do she job. I'm going to send this to the American Dental Association, also as this is a total misleading advertising and scam to many people .
