We have been going to Dr Boas for over 12 years for my son who has CF and my daughter who has Asthma. While his visits can be longer it is because he takes time with the families to make sure that everyone is comfortable and understand what is happening. He has gone above and beyond with insurance companies to make sure the process is as painless as possible on our end. I could not recommend this doctor more. If your child had Asthma or Cystic Fibrosis this is the doctor for you. read more

Beware Cancellations - quote from bill: "Office confirmed appt w/ Dad 5 min later Dad cancelled will call back to reschedule. Dad called back to cancel APPT gave no reason W/C to R/S APPT" We were under no obligation to go to this follow up appointment and calling back 5 minutes later is a reasonable period of time. The office did not ask why we couldn't make it (we actually told them why voluntarily apparently they didn't' listen) and did not notify us and then we receive a bill several weeks later! read more

My son has been seeing Dr. Boas for years, and I'm completely confident in and grateful for the care he's received. Dr. Boas specializes in some more unusual syndromes, and is thorough without being intrusive regarding testing on children (which can be very anxiety provoking, both for kids and parents). Appointments can take a long time, but in my experience only because the exhaustiveness of both the testing and the thoroughness of the physical exams. After having two children with medical issues requiring specialists, I feel confident in asserting that Dr. Boas is simply one of the best. read more

Very long wait times every time we go. I usually have to miss at least 3 hours of work from the time we leave my house until we return from our visits. Was just charged $75 for cancelling a Monday appointment on a Thursday. This is not a way to treat your long time patients. Will not return here. read more

Dr. Boas is a talented doctor. Appointments can be long, but he takes the time with all of his patients. We even had to page him while we were on vacation and he took the time to talk to the ER doctor and has prescribed necessary medication several times over the phone. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have been to the Glenview office 3 times and each time we have waited over an hour to be seen. When I scheduled my son's last appt. for 5:00, we weren't actually seen by a PA until 6:45. I had inquired twice about the long wait, and I was not given any reason. Once we get to a room, we wait even longer and then an assistant comes in and asks questions and then Dr. Boas comes in and asks the exact same questions. Finally, breathing tests are given, but no feedback when they promised feedback the very next day. Had a breathing and exercise test done on 1/11/2017 and I am still waiting on results. Very frustrating, I will be asking my child's primary care doctor for another doctor. Almost forgot, one of the tests that was given was not covered by insurance. It would have been helpful if they had told me that. Run don't walk away from this doctor and find a new one! read more

Very 'money hungry' office! I cancelled an appointment 24 hours ahead of schedule and spoke with Annmarie. We rescheduled to another date. My son had a concussion during baseball warmups and I cancelled the second appointment at least 2 days before it was scheduled. I then received a $75 charge for cancelling. Spoke with Ann Marie and she informed me that Dr Boas himself made the decision to charge me the $75 on the premise that we cancelled. WOW! Amazingly disappointing way to operate. I previously took my daughter there and waited over 3 hours to be seen after going through 3 administrative medical assistants [all asking the same repeat questions] we saw Dr Boas for 5 minutes and received an aggressive dose of meds and inhalers for an extended period of time. I went to another doctor who told me to immediately discontinue the meds as they were too strong and too long for an 8 year old child. My daughter was fine after discontinuing. I will not go here again as I question not only the medical approach and decisions but the ethical money hungry ways as well. read more
