Dr. Williams recommended an in depth blood test be done which I was told was covered by my insurance company. We were in agreement and I had the test done. Fast forward 7 months later ... I received (for the first time... today) a 120 day past due invoice with a patient due amount of almost $3k! This test cost $10,985.94 ... of which insurance paid $8,068.82 which leaves an outstanding patient balance of $2,917.12. If I was made aware of what the patient responsibility on this test would be... I would have passed! I've worked health benefits with patients before, this should have been discussed before any blood test were ordered due to the patient responsibility being so high. I promptly called the Stone Creek Family Medicine (SCFM) today and was told I had to call their billing service.... which I had already done, first. (This prompted the call to SCFM as could only leave a call back number for the billing service.) When I asked SCFM why this expected patient portion of nearly $3k was not disclosed to me prior to the test being ordered, her answer was ... they ran it through an automated system to check on coverage. At this point, I asked to speak to the office manager. She said the manager was not available, so asked when she would be available. She said she didn't know as the office manager worked "sporadic" hours...really! She would only take a call back number, highly frustrating. So, I guess I'll have to wait until she shows up to work her "sporadic" hours and hope my contact information is passed on. Such a shame as Dr. McWilliams was great... Debra

Because I was changing Medicare providers I chose to return. They said I had to came in before 12/15/23 to avoid being a new patient so I did. I arrive as scheduled and go through the usual vitals and info. Then the nurse comes in with an attitude and says I left several years ago and when you do that you can't just come back unless the dr approves. She leaves and comes back stating they don't take Debuted Health any more. (lied) I then stated I'm changing to Aetna at the new year and she said as a new patient they couldn't see me until next May. Oh ok I'll just not have any meds or care until then. For the record I have Macular degeneration, Have been treated for postdate cancer twice and am a diabetic. Yeeha thanks for treating a senior citizen like this. Luckily for me, it's only the 4 th so I have a couple days to change insurance so I can keep the doctor I was using. I've wasted my time and both my current insurance and my new insurance that would have taken effect Jan 1 2024. I hope both the nurse with the attitude and the dr who is choosey live a long happy life. This DAMN outfit should be ashamed, investigated and maybe litigated. I see a few others who rate this place and the rude as people accordingly on here.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Staff is horribly rude and inconsiderate. I made an appointment…read moreover the phone for my 2 year old and they confirmed my insurance. When I showed up they said oh sorry we don't take that insurance we can't see your daughter. I told them I will pay cash up front because I was desperate since she has been running a fever many days and they said we can't help you it's against our policy. Horrible business to turn down a very sick little patient after telling me they accept my insurance and then continue to deny me when I offer to pay whatever it's takes upfront. Stay away from companies that don't actually care about the overall health of other people! Shame on them!
