The owner was attentive and gave me the time to address what my problems were..did I need a curb or a skirt, a rail? A ledge?? As hardware goes, it was a unique opportunity. We selected a ledge and she found the screws and drill bits I needed to set it all in place... I needed #8*1/2 wood screws and I didn't need to go digging around looking for them myself and the 5/32" drill bit only cost 2.80. In fact, when I was walking in, a customer came out with a window pane cut with 5 tulip shaped pieces of glass in an antique window!! That's fuckin' brilliant! I wish I lived closer. I'd shop there every day. They have drinks and snacks and paint and tools!! They're really into helping their customers.

An Unfortunate Series of Events In October 2025, I brought…read moreseveral window screens to be serviced. Some were bent and needed replacement, while others only required rescreening. When we picked them up and brought them home, we realized the screens did not fit properly, and the bent screens had not been replaced as requested. I called immediately, and Patty initially acknowledged the mistake and told us to bring the screens back so the issue could be corrected. Shortly after that, I had to travel out of state due to an emergency and was away for approximately one month, bringing us into December. After a very rough winter, we finally returned the screens. While they were repaired, they still did not fit correctly. At that point, a technician came to the house to measure the windows. We later received a call that the new screens were ready, and we picked them up. Due to continued wind, rain, and cold weather, there was a delay of a few weeks before installation. Unfortunately, once installed, several screens still did not fit properly, and some were clearly the wrong size altogether. It appeared as though the same size screen was made for windows that were originally different sizes. I paid over $350 during the first visit and was then required to pay an additional $300+ to have the work redone. When I tried to explain the discrepancies to Patty, my concerns were dismissed due to the amount of time that had passed. In the end, I am out more than $600, with screens that still do not fit correctly. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. We have done business with this company--both personally and professionally--for over 20 years. Sadly, after this experience, that relationship has ended. Not a happy customer, and we will not be returning.
