This Union 76 gas station is conveniently located at the corner of two major streets. It is very easy to get in and out of the gas station. The gas pumps are clean and all working. The price is reasonable in the area. It is not far from the shopping and dining area. I have often used this gas station when I'm in the area.

This is the best gas station ever. Why do I say that? Because Milo works there. Milo is my hero. I have a 2020 Thor tranquility Mercedes sprinter 4 x 4 and for some reason my propane tank would not fill. I was boiling water to take a shower on a portable cooktop. After spending so much on a van that you expect to work and having almost everything that work is very frustrating and because I am a newbie I don't really know what to do. I tried to fill my tank up six different times and I had so much anxiety because they could not accomplish this task and the propane places are just not easy. I had so much anxiety I was waiting to pull into a spot but I did not want to block a camper van that was getting propane with an old man driving. Just as the old man was pulling out I put my car in reverse to back into a spot when this bustle head jerk pulls in to the spot and see Eaze I was waiting and that he was blocking me and laughed. His girlfriend or wife look mortified. I had to back in a different way and with my anxiety I put the car in park but I guess I did not push the button all the way and earlier that day my entire dashboard went blank so I could not verify the car is in park. The car rolled backwards into a tow truck! Broke my back window and pushed in my bike rack. Milo was incredible. He was so helpful. He was very caring and kind. The tow truck driver was also awesome and I didn't see any damage on his car and he actually helped sweep up the glass which was so thoughtful. I was frozen in fear afraid to drive and Milo was just nice. He helped me figure out what to do and I was able to cardboard out the back window. But I didn't explain how awesome Milo is. Milo suggested that I go to the hardware store and buy WD-40 and spray the coupling that connects to the propane machine. I did this and he was able to fill up my tank! I was so worried I was going to have to get a new propane tank and be without propane for months. Milo is incredible and he is such a great employee. Steve 76 is very lucky to have him!

The people here work hard. At least I think they do judging by the cleanliness of the gas station and how well-stocked the shelves are. They have an RV dump, so this will be the only gas station I will stop at in Santa Cruz. Apple Pay at the pump is nice. Considering my fill-ups are almost $100 and we spent $25 in the convenience store, if the RV dump was free I'd score this station 5 stars.

Manager smoking near a sign saying "No Smoking". I saw a person sitting outside near where the propane tanks are stored. I reported this same individual back in January doing the exact same thing in the same spot. Great example of following the signs on the property. This happened on Friday, March 1st, 2019 around 12:45pm.

Small gas station come late in the day..after 7 pm otherwise it could be difficult to get to the dump station.

I was somewhat satisfied with the car wash. However, my car wasn't as clean as I would've liked it to have been. The good thing was that my car didn't get scratched by brushes. I believe that they need to make the car wash go longer. I also went to this particular station because I needed to use the restroom. I went into the store, and the friendly cashier gave me the key to the outside bathroom. I walked out to the bathroom, and when I grabbed the door knob, the door opened without using the key. I was feeling a little anxious about someone opening the door while I was using the toilet, but that didn't happen. The person before me probably didn't close the door completely when they left the toilet. The convenience store was huge with lots of items to buy. Outside, there is air for your tires, and you can vacuum your car for a handful of quarters. I was impressed that they had buckets with water and windshield squeegees--I haven't seen very many squeegees at gas stations lately.

I regret this - I truly do…read more This has been my neighborhood my entire life. I've been away due to getting married, but since I've moved home, I'm sad to say that the ownership of this 7-11 location has radically changed. It used to be a nice, clean neighborhood resource of goods that you could run to anytime when you were out of something, like milk, eggs, maybe even a pretty individual rose for my grandmother when I had an extra couple of dollars. Tho owner I remember would greet everyone and always smiled, like a neighbor does. It was always a busy store and items were affordable (actually all of daily life was then). I went there this morning to grab some milk. I had forgotten to get some yesterday and needed some quickly. When I pulled into the parking lot, it was completely empty. I've NEVER seen a 7-11 parking lot empty in the morning! I walked in and felt like I was in a totally different country. The place was empty except for one cashier and one sales rep (I think). They spoke in another language and didn't even say anything to acknowledge me - at all. It was uncomfortable and I just ignored it. I went through the entire store. No gallons of milk. Only little, over-priced pints and quarts that were older, but still within their dates. I had to interrupt the conversation just to ask about milk. It was not a comfortable thing to do. The man at the register said he had none, other than little ones. The cold cases were not clean and the stock had changed dramatically! The store was now filled with all types of alcohol and crap food - what was still in stock. The store is now perfect for anyone who wants to be a drunk, party, or drink into oblivion. There was all sorts of alcohol - hard liquor to junk beer, and half of it had foreign labels. I'm old school, okay? I have lived here in Monterey Bay for 50+ years. I find the life here deteriorating in a huge way and this seven-eleven is a perfect example of the lowering quality of life in Santa Cruz, California. Everything is dirty, over-priced, and crappy. Very few options are offered now, and no one wants to be a warm neighbor and member of the hood anymore, possibly due to the lack of ability to identify with one another and communicate well. Thanks gubrnr noosm! Great job ruining the most beautiful state on earth. And big ups to the commyz in local gumt. Anyone left here who has been here for the last 30+ years understands this. But we are no longer a community. I will never enter the doors of this store again. What a wake-up call. Sorry, I need to shop in a store that is clean, at minimum.

That means if you park here, do not go inside and/or leave your car for a few hours it won't be there when you get back. Consider yourself warned. I'm pretty much ok with that as well, there will always be a spot right up front when you visit. That's not something that you should assume will be possible in santa cruz. Inside there are a couple of tables, a bench overlooking the front lot/street and a small cozy not quite a garden spot in back. Even though this is a convenience they try hard to make it not feel like one. The seating winds up being cozier then you'd think. In addition to the shelves of overpriced dry goods (you know the drill. They have everything you forgot to bring, but it'll cost you.) they have their own prep kitchen which they use to make fresh deli things of varying degrees of tastiness. Basically if you get a sandwich or a burrito you find meh-that was prolly not one they prepared on site. Good selection of Marianne's ice cream treats(nutty bars, chocolate covered cheescake slices etc) all the it's it made (Pay attention. The mint and the green tea flavors look-but do not taste-identical) a decent wine selection, a solid craft beer aisle, and a daily rotation of thoroughly snackable items. While I wasn't any too impressed with the breakfast burrito(outsourced from a vendor), I do consider this a decent sammich/soup/chil/salad choice. Also a great choice for whatever you need for that grab and go food run. Pricing is whatever you want to spend. Ye olde hood snack of chips and a soda clocks in at less then five, but a couple sandwiches, soup, salad, bread and a bottle of wine can get you into the forty ish dollar range. Overall it's very much the decent choice if you are nearby.

A perfect car wash if your car is already clean or you like unpleasant customer service!…read more Sigh, I actually had a very positive view of this place, and would recommend them as a nice place to get gas, but unfortunately today we tried the car wash. I was really excited, it seemed high tech and nice, and was excited to make it my go-to. Unfortunately it did not get the car clean (even with the highest level of wash available), and when we got back home we saw there were black speckles on about 8 of the body panels on our pretty new and recently waxed car. This was handily the worse wash we have tried in the area. I wasn't worried because the other places we had dealt with recently would just send us back through if there were any problems, so we headed back over to the wash to help them make it right. When we got there I described my problem, and there was clearly stress about it so this was not the first time it had happened. The person who seemed in charge wanted to see it, so I took him out and showed him the speckles fully expecting an easy solution. Unfortunately he rather brusquely informed me that it was only on a small area (8 body panels is apparently small) and that he could offer to let me buy a towel for something like another 3 bucks so that I could clean it myself. Are you serious? You're going to try to upsell on a customer retention issue?!? Absurd. When we looked around we noticed signs advertising towels for your car wash implying that they were for finishing the job not drying the car. This was not the first time they had had this conversation. I went home and used my own towel and quick detailer to finish they job they failed to do, and most certainly wiped the 4 dollars extra worth of wax upsell off on the 8 body panels that I found myself having to clean by hand having payed for an automatic car wash an hour before. So the way I see it: 3 stars for a below average wash at a slightly lower price than some, minus one star for trying to upsell me and asking me for my labor to get the job done, and minus another star for the bad customer experience/ attitude. Even a simple apology and explanation that touch less car washes have advantages but also technical limits would have avoided everyone reading this review, but that's not what happened:-/ Really unfortunate, we liked this place, but I don't see any reason why we should support a place that does this kind of stuff.
