My first time on an ATV and I absolutely loved it. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They give you perfect guidance on the do's and don'ts before you take off and have a lot of safety gears. There were patrollers in the area just in case riders are lost or need directions. I think it is really cool that fellow riders greet each other with hand signals showing number of riders behind them. We rented 2 automatic ATV's for 2 hours. Wish we had more time to explore different routes. We lost a phone in one of the routes. We headed back to the office and informed the staff. They checked the ATV and voila to our luck...the phone had been stuck in one of the vehicle's lower frame all along :) Overall it was a wonderful experience. read more

Horrible service, I overheard the workers complaining and they were cussing infront of my children helmets and goggles were not clean at all, make sure to bring alcohol and spray everything down beforehand lots of rocks on the road and take pictures of your vehicle beforehand too because they try to blame you for anything to get some $$$ out of you read more

We had fun first 30 minutes and after that one of the bike broke every 5 minutes go from high gear to neutral then i have to stop the bike wait till it go to normal rpm then try again and this thing keep happen every few minutes very annoying.it was getting dark so i called the office let them know it will take me awhile to get back and they did not send someone but she said she will wait for me. My brothers on other two bike had to wait for me every time it just affect on whole trip. When i spoke with lady front desk she said she will give me gift certificate for one hour of that broken bike. I asked for for gift certificate for three bike because it affect on all of the group and we rent it for two hours. She said i agree with you and went to ask the owner so he come and said no we wont do that and the bike that was broken he tried for ( mins may be and it happen with him only once off course try to ride for hour and tell me how you feel. Was doing my research for a rental place for my trip out to Glamis next weekend and after what I read they don't deserve my business or anyone else's. How are you going to say a 35 yr old is more capable of operating a machine than a 25 yr old or a 30 yr old. That's just poor customer service. I've raced professional motocross for many years. Was in urgent repair of some parts for a generator while stuck in the desert on a Friday night and Steve's ATV came through third shop I visited and they had four different options where as everyone else said No ... for my needs this is my new favorite place for parts when at Ocotillo wells Was a little hard to find but it is opposite ARCO and they have so much stuff and amazing knowledge. read more

This place was great. We were able to drive a rzr s900 and s800....if you're stuck between the 2, go with the 900. It was a world of difference on ride, suspension and acceleration. Maybe bc the 900 was newer? I'm not sure. But there was definitely a difference. We did have some mechanical issues, that's why we were able to use 2 different ones that day. That's the only reason for 4 stars. However the staff and customer service made up for any issues we had. The trails were great. We paid for a day, which is 8 hrs. And we never seen the same trail twice. It's a huge area. The customer service was the best part though, Patrick and Aubrey were great and helped us out in anyway that they could. I would recommend this place based on customer service alone. read more

So first off we were running late and they worked with us. Which was amazing. Customer service is everything. Always ask for Tracy she is the front desk lady. We get there. We pay. Put a deposit down. They take us to go watch a safety video. A guy named jearod I believe helped guid us with picking our helmet and goggles. Very helpful. Then we do a practice run through our ATVs. A lot different from the arcade games. The scenery is dirt and dessert but still beautiful. The beginners trail still was so fun for me and a little scary. Before I advance to any other trail I'll do the first one a few times. The whole 2 hours is fun. It goes by fast. Worth the money. Good customer service. Make sure your phone is charged for emergencies and a lot of pictures. Oh also they give you a map it's not a guided tour but if I could do it. Trust me anyone can do it. Just be open minded and have the best time. read more

Patrick and Steve were awesome gentlemen, understanding and super accommodating to our situation. We had an ordinary rental turned into an emergency. Right off the bat there was an injury which thankfully turned out to be minor but nobody knew for sure until we got to the ER. Throughout this whole thing they were super helpful, offered their support and on the business side of things Patrick was most accommodating. In summary I am definitely a returning customer! The riding area looked amazing, this is something that half day rental is probably not going to suffice but that's all we had. Patrick and Aubrey were great as well as the guys in the shop. They were all friendly and helpful! Rented quads for 8hrs about 200 bucks each with insurance and gas. Helmets are included in the rental price and they have a little store that we got gloves from. They have various trails just everywhere. My favorite is tarantula trail. This is the best ATV rental experience I have ever had. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They were amazingly nice early in the morning, which is hard to do lol! The early bird special promotion they run is perfect, 3 hours for the price of 2. There is so much terrain to explore. Everyone was wearing masks and social distanced. We have been wanting to try this place for sometime now. Stars lined up finally on Saturday. Was raining in Palm Springs and decided to head out anyway. Arrived at Steve's and no rain. We opted for two quads for my son and I. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Watched the video was given a map and off we went. It was a nice 2hr ride. The owner is not professional at all doesn't warranty his work and claims that a 13 year old kid ruined a tube in day! He hid in the back and was making his cashier handle everything! This was our second rental from Steve's over the course of three years. We had a large group of nine people, with a range of ages and experience in riding. Richard did a great job in getting all outfitted properly. The trails are amazing, great fun. This place was awesome. So glad I didn't get scared away by the reviews. Everyone here was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to have a good time. We were sure to be thorough about the contracts and liabilities, everything seems pretty fair. Most I'd say is always check the tires, given the nature of the sport that seems to be the most obvious thing that can go wrong. The tires are covered if they go out from wear and tear. But if you cause the damage you're gonna have to cough over the money for it. I only mention this because based on the other reviews that seems to be the biggest threat to having a good time. Needless to say, we had no problems with the RZR 800. Serena was really helpful in making sure she broke down the map for us and pointed out where the best photo ops were for me, and windy trails were for my guy. We had an amazing time!! Can't wait to come back! Oh and when she gives you that extra map.. trust me, you need it. By the end of the ride our first map was in tiny little shreds and we were so grateful for the spare!! Steve's was great! After we called to reserve, they called back and let us know the trails the next day weren't going to be in good condition and offered us a small discount to come two days later. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk did a great job of checking us in and getting our paperwork squared away, and the quick orientation on the bikes was all we needed. The route they provided on the map was a great variety and gave you time to get used to the ATV before hitting the big stuff. I would strongly recommend four hours of rental to be sure you get all done you want to. A few tips: 1) gloves and goggles are strongly recommended. We rented goggles and bought or brought gloves--the goggles kept our eyes from getting windswept and the gloves prevented major blisters from the vibrations 2) bring a small backpack with some water and snacks. There are places to stop and eat, and bathrooms too! 3) if you're in a group of Atv's, be sure to ask about hand signal etiquette when you pass other groups to let them know how many you have in your party 4) learn a few hand signals (OK, slow down, etc) for when you're driving and don't want to stop to talk. It's too loud to shout, but five signals work great! 5) we rented 250cc atvs which were plenty for up to a 225 pound guy in our group. The semiautomatic clutches require you to shift with your foot and a hand clutch, but it doesn't take long to learn. However, they are a little touchy. It's completely to be expected though, considering the amount of abuse they get. Just take your time and play with it until you get the feel for it! Have fun and be safe!
