Due to the fact that you have no idea who will be working on your car at a dealership (a.k.a. stealership), I avoid them at all costs. please do not take vehicle here i bought my car for 2 tire change and a noise it had. now 10 days later my husband called and steve screamed to pick up the car apparently they said they were fixing another part and ignored what i wanted them to fix. my husband own a shop in tampa fl for 28 years tampa automotive center on tampa street never he would talk to a customer like that much less keep the car for 10 days and fix the issues. the tire is about to have a blow out as well now i am having it towed to another macanic. read more

SUPERB SERVICE! I cannot stress that enough! As a single mother of a young child, and with health issues when my check engine light came on, I panicked. I took my vehicle to a local auto store, to have the code read. I was told that it was a certain sensor in my engine, but being ignorant to anything mechanical, I was lost. Due to how my car was driving, I took it to the nearest auto repair shop by my home. I was happy to be greeted by a woman when I went in. They quickly tested the code, (only) and she told me what was wrong and gave me their opinion as to what was needed. The following day at my office, I was told by a coworker to have a second opinion by Steve's Auto Repair, in Inverness. She told me that this family owned business has always treated her with the utmost respect and she never felt that she was being taken advantage of, because of being a "woman ". I am so glad I took her advice. I called and spoke to Eric who calmed my fears (he could hear the panic in my voice I'm sure) and he took his time with me over the phone, asking several questions and he said bring "the patient" in and we'll go from there. I did as he suggested and I dropped my vehicle off so it could be "examined ". I was called later in the day and he told me what the code reader found, and the damage from a not so very nice "critter" that decided to possibly make my engine it's home, or, just eat the wires! Eric was so thorough in his explanation to me I felt at ease with this shop and how this work was going to be completed. I was so impressed! Eric not only took the time to educate me, but he also had respect for me. And that is HUGE in this world when it comes to being a naive woman in regards to car repairs. He sat down with me and helped me better understand what needs to be done. I was so very happy and pleased. My car was with them for a few days, was treated and released (my words!) and I was off and driving. My car (2005) was like brand new! Car wasn't starting right, and they were able to diagnose and fix in under an hour what took 3 shops to tell me would not be a cheap fix over the course of a week.
