I had a service engine light come on and stopped here to see what it was. Met the owner and he spent a great deal of time talking with me, which was nice. However, he advised me to go change the gas cap as he said that is much of the problems they see when the engine light comes on. I asked about doing a diagnostic to see what the car told him. He said that's not necessary and it would cost a hundred dollars to do. I said, I'm okay with that, as I needed to know the car was safe for my Mom to drive. He then said, okay, well it's $168 to do the diagnostic. I said, you just told me it was a hundred. He said well, $145 plus tax is $168. Then he quickly added he didn't have time to do it today. It was just a whole serving of fishy behavior. I left and drove an hour to Rudi's Mercedes in Orlando, where they did the diagnostic for free and then fixed the problem for not much money. BTW - there was absolutely nothing wrong with the gas cap. Owner is friendly, but gives off a lot of fishy information. Overall, I'd steer clear of this place. read more

We went down to the Villages to stay with our parents and then a vacation in Miami with our kids. We took the Amtrak Auto Train who proceeded to leave our lights on in our X5. (Found that out later) Luckily we made it to their place and that afternoon we tried to start the car and click - click - click. The dreaded dead battery sound. Checked an auto parts store and they had the battery but wouldn't install it because it was complicated. We were supposed to leave in a few days for Miami so MAJOR panic mode. Luckily we jumped the car and took it to Gary at All German Autoworks. They squeezed us in, charged the battery and everything checked out from their top class BMW mechanics. For as bad a review I'll leave Amtrak, this is a glowing review for All German Autoworks. Gary and team are the best if you have a problem. They're honest and treated us like we were family. Hello, well, I have a 2009 Smart Car that has 247,000 miles on it. It went from being the highest mileage Smart Car on the West Coast to the Highest Mileage Smart Car on the East Coast. In California I took it to MBZ/Smart of San Francisco and could not have received better service or pricing anywhere. These guys knew what they were doing too. In Florida, I decided to work with MBZ/Smart of Orlando in Maitland and I am sorry to say that after the first couple of visits their service, pricing and follow-up was the worst I have ever experienced in my car repair history and my last two cars were MBZ's. Fortunately, I found the All German Motorworks of Leesburg listing in Yelp. After talking to these guys for a while I could tell that they knew what they are doing. Fast forward a couple of weeks after having it towed in. (Delay was due to getting parts.) I have a new clutch actuator, rear axle shaft and seal, and a major service that included all fluid changes and spark plugs. I can actually say that my car runs like it did when MBZ/Smart in San Francisco last worked on it- and maybe even a little better due to the new actuator. Long story short, I'll be back for my scheduled maintenance and any needed services. I have no hesitation recommending these guys to anyone- and as a former business management consultant, I don't say that very often. read more

When I first went there was to find out issues with used SL550's as I was looking to purchase a used vehicle in Florida after moving here. Gary King was very informative, insightful, and knowledgeable and took his time in explaining what to look for. I followed his guidelines and purchased a beautiful 2015 SL550 from a dealership in Jacksonville after looking 6 months online. I had the vehicle inspected by him immediately after purchase and it was perfect. Gary even commented about its exterior color and interior color combination, factory original but rarely picked! I called around 11am to see if they could fit an oil change in today. Gary said at 3pm they would be able to service my vehicle. I arrived at 3pm and was taken care of immediately. The atmosphere is relaxed vs "suit and tie" dealership vibes. Jason,the tech, previously serviced my vehicle at 35k and did a great job (based on my car is running smooth, no lights going off). I have been to great repair shops - this is not one. Absolute HORRIBLE expensive, experience. Brought my 86,000 mi. 2004 Audi A4 Cabriolet in for repairs. Beautiful car, at the time. All German failed or neglected to diagnose the overheating issue properly. Water pump promptly failed. Now I have a blown head gasket, and a $5,000 or more problem (repair of replace the engine)! Smooth talking Manager, Mr. King, blamed everything but All German. Had the shop properly diagnosed the issue it could have been fixed as it should have been. I would have a running lovely Audi if I had selected a different shop. No accountability. By the way, this was after I had paid over $1,000 for All German to make the car "right" as it had just been purchased as a first car for my son. No honor. Wish I had gone to a repair shop with knowledgeable help. I recommend you find a shop that will make a correct diagnosis, not just charge you thousands and deny failing to locate the exact thing that had been reported (overheating) was their responsibility. Anybody can change the oil for $200 but if a correct diagnosis is needed, watch out. Try Lake County Euros in Tavares, or even Auto Master Of Leesburg, or roll the dice with your engine and poor quality of looking for the correct issue if you bring it here. Terrible customer service and wait times. I've been using this company for last two years. I should of been smarter and looked for another place when it took so long for them to service my BMW. Fortunately They cost less ( About 10-15 %) than the dealership but unfortunately it takes forever to look at your car before they even attempt to fix it. My latest adventure; It took them 10 days before they could look at my car. Unacceptable. They r creating a cue giving u a false pretence that they will work on your car very soon--not. they only have two mechanics and about 30 cars to work on. I suggest u go somewhere else. They also nickel and dime you on everything before they even start figuring what the issue . Aslo, I almost never write feedback on a company service but for this case, it is warranted so that I can hopefully prevent others from making the same mistake. read more

I'm so grateful to have found Gary and All German to take care of my 2013 BMW! It just passed the 100,000 mile mark and of course with the guarantee gone, minor issues starting appearing. I was concerned that it was time to get a new car, but I love my hardtop convertible and was hoping to keep it another few years before having to put it to rest. My BMW alert triangular light came on 3x last week- all first thing in the am - letting me know that the coolant level was low and should be checked and topped off fairly soon, but the car was still ok to drive... (After driving for a short time, the light would go out and the warning disappeared.). My husband tried to access the coolant tank, but it was sealed tight and he could not open it. I called All German Motorworks and spoke with Silvana. She agreed it was not an emergency (I could still drive the car) but made an appointment for me to come in at my earliest availability. The assessment they ran was thorough- pressure checking the coolant system while both hot and cold. No leak was found. The coolant was topped off and I was given the good news along with a bill for $0! Yes, I have taken my BMW there for service (one time - excellent service at a reasonable price!) and I will definitely be taking my car back for her next service appointment! It is terrific to find honest, knowledgeable and kind service providers. I recommend them highly! read more

I do not know why anyone has anything negative to say. These guys were so very professional. They took their time to, "get it right." They also were able to resolve issues that the dealership, (Mercedez South of Orlando) had charged me for and did not even come close to resolving. Would not use again, not cheaper than dealer and excessive delays. Engine cover came back heavily scratched (like someone stood on it and twisted it) and missing bolts, Pictures are attached. Avoid the hassle and look elsewhere for service. They had my car for 19 days (Towed in 8/1/18 late in the day and demanded it back 8/21/18 at closing as it was still not repaired). I called on 8/1 asking if they took extended warranties as they were local, and I like to support local businesses. In the beginning everything was normal they diagnosed the car on 8/2/ and called on 8/3 to let me know that an insurance adjustor would be out on Monday or Tuesday to look at the car and she will call me back with what they would cover and what I would be responsible for. Insurance Adjustor came out Monday 8/6 and I received a phone call with the breakdown on 8/7 with an estimated completion date of 8/10. I patiently waited till 8/10 and had no contact from the shop after calling several times through out the day with no answer I get a call from Gary on 8/10/ @ 4:39 PM informing me that the car would not be done on that day as it was "a lot of work to do on the car", these things happened and he assured me it would be done Monday 8/13. Monday came, and I had not heard from them, so I called @ 12:37 pm and again no answer, left a voicemail and did not hear back from them that day. I then called again on 8/14 @ 11:22AM and at that time was informed that the car was not repaired and that after a smoke test they found another vacuum leak and that after hanging up with me they were contacting my warranty company for another claim and would call me back with what my cost for the new repair would be. No contact from them 8/15 and after I called 8/16 @ 09:32AM and at 10:00AM with no answers I called from another phone number and was answered on the second ring. They stated that they were on the other line with my warranty company and accidentally hung up on them to answer this line. They asked for ten minutes and they would call me back. I called back @ 11:10 again no answer, Called again @ 11:54 no answer, called again @ 12:10 and was informed that my warranty company is giving them grief for their diagnosis and that Now I have to call the Warranty Co. and clear up the confusion (they did not file the claim on Tuesday as they stated they were as when I called my warranty co. they claimed the claim was filed that day @ 10:41 AM, after my original 10:00 AM phone call from another number). After I spoke to my Warrant Company I called the shop back and told them they should be able to go ahead now. The shop called me back @ 1:01PM and informed me that I was now required to pay another $98.50 for the warranty company to send out an inspector again for this missed problem, and that we could not continue unless I approved this. I having no recourse approved it and she said that she will call the warranty company back and try to get an inspector out the following day. The next day 8/17 I called them @ 12:35 pm and again no answer I left a voice mail and the returned my call @ 1:52PM informing me the inspector had been out and they should here something back by Monday. On 8/20 I called them @ 12:18PM and left another message and they returned my call @ 2:24pm letting me know the repairs were approved and should be done best case scenario Tuesday 8/21. I called on 8/21 and left a message again and got a call back @ 2:08 PM stating my car was being put back together and should be good after a Test drive, I never heard from the again till I told them I was on my way down there when they told me that the car still had problems. This would be the third diagnostic and another 98.50 fee towards me. I asked if the car was put together and took possession of it then. Upon looking in my engine bay my Engine cover was scuffed like someone stepped on it and missing bolts. Do not Recommend. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a repair shop that specialized in BMWs. I found All German.... On my move to the area my X5's AC blower gave out and I needed a replacement. I know enough about cars to self-diagnose. I took my car to Gary, a British man that manages All German and explained the problem. He explained their process of performing their own diagnosis at a cost of $130 and if my diagonosis was correct and they performed the work I would not be charged. I researched the labor time involved and the cost of the parts. Gary advised they charged $130 an hour and estimated it would take about 8 hours to complete the job. I know what part has to be replace and how much BMW will charge. Gary tells me I need the blower which I knew and a resister which was working. I didn't say anything since the resister was less than $100. I brought my car in on a Monday and was told it would be ready by Thursday, Friday at the latest. I called on Thursday afternoon to find out that their distributor had sent the wrong part and they were expecting the correct one on Friday and he was hoping to have the work complete by the end of the day on Friday. Gary gives all sorts of excuses on why the car is not ready and blames his parts distributor for sending the wrong part. I'm not mad, I understand that unforeseen things happen. The car was not ready on Friday. I called on Monday and was told they had received the part would install it on Tuesday and the car would be ready by noon. At the end of the day on Tuesday I receive a call advising my car is ready. I pick up the car on Wednesday and Gary explains that his mechanic had been a problem installing the passenger side airbag because of an aftermarket stereo I had installed. Gary tells me that reinstalling the airbag could cause a decapitation if reinstalled because of missing components and foam that had been removed from the car when the aftermarket stereo was installed. Gary looks for the airbag to show me the compartment and the bag but cannot find it. Gary has one of his other mechanics call the mechanic that had worked on my car and finds out that the mechanic was able to reinstall without a problem. So, by this time bells are starting to go off and I'm starting to wonder just how informed Gary is. Gary is a non-stop talker (kinda like a used car salesman) will not let you get a word in. In the haste, I pay my bill and forget to give the office manager a coupon I got out of the paper for a 10% discount. On Thursday I call and tell Gary, that with all the discussion on the airbag, I forgot to give him the coupon and asked if he would apply it. He immediately shuts me down, saying that he cannot issue a credit because my credit card had already been charged. He was very abrasive, rude and short. I was speechless and hung up. I regrouped and called him back. Now keep this under consideration, I was told my cars work would be complete on Thursday and it wasn't complete until the end of business on the following Tuesday. During the process, I've to call to get statuses on the work and delivery. I'm being charged full retail prices on original BMW parts that I can call a local BMW dealer and purchase directly from the dealer at a discount. And I've been charged for a part I did not need. I tell Gary that it is not good business practice to not honor his coupon after the concessions I've made. Gary flies off the handle and starts screaming he will not be bullied into give me credit for the coupon. From this point on things escalate and I end up hanging up the phone.I I would not recommend this shop as it has no sense of customer service. In my opinion they prey on car owners that don't understand mechanical issues of their cars and most importantly the older folks in the community in the area. They charge top dollar for their parts and their labor albeit less expensive that the BMW dealer is still very expensive. The most disturbing part was the lack of customer service, Gary's used car salesman tactics and Gary's volatile temper. read more

Never..and I repeat NEVER put your car in the hands of this business!! Gary King, the owner isn't a honest business person whatsoever. We purchased a 2009 Mini --was told "what a sweet ride" you're getting. Gary said we've completely rebuilt the engine. The very next day it started making a grinding noise. Had to have car towed back. Gary said--it's your car now! Told me the clutch is in pieces...would cost an additional $3900! This guy absolutely has no conscience-- I'm giving you a WARNING--don't give him your business or hard earned money--he's a thief!! What goes around--comes back around! I have a 2009 Audi convertible that I love and although it's quite a few years old I don't want to part with it. I stopped by to make an appointment for service. Gary the owner looked at it right away and thoroughly explained what I need. He ordered the part. It was in the next day and I had my car back in a few hours. Dropped my car off on Wed. for my B service on my Mercedes. When they called to tell me it was ready, it was to late for me to pick it up by closing which was okay with me. In the mean time, my wife was driving one of my company vans. An inconvienience but I didn't need the van until Friday at which time it was imperative I have it. I stopped by Thurs. Morning to pay my bill only to find out they raised the price of an oil change from $350.00 to over $440.00 without telling me prior. I paid the bill and asked if I could pick the car up later in day (after closing). They told me that was no problem but asked me to move it out of their way. I opened the door and it looked like someone had been stabbed inside my car. There was a pretty good amount of blood on my upholstery and armrest. I cannot imagine someone would leve that much blood all over the inside of a Mercedes Benz with light tan interior and not know they did that. I gave the owner my key back, asked him to clean the blood (after he showed me the band aid on his elbow indicating he was the one who was so careless. I asked him to leave my car outside that evening and I would use my spare key and pick the key up the next day. My wife and I drove by that evening and there where a few cars outside but none of them where mine. So now I had to give my wife my van for a third day when it was so important I have that van....for a simple oil change. It cost me money, time and I had to make arrangements to postpone a customers appointment which made me and my company look bad because they did who knows what with my car that night. I then looked at my bill to see what cost $440.00 and $240.00 of it was labor FOR AN OIL CHANGE. And believe me. I know things cost a lot more when you own a Mercedes and I know the dealer charges more. I also know the dealer uses OEM parts and preserves your resale value more. And by the way. If they didn't do all the other things during this oil change I wouldn't mind paying the $440.00 and would keep going back there to have my car serviced. It was all the other ridiculousness. One of the items was windshield wiper blades. If the had asked if I wanted my wipers changed, or even just looked at the wipers they removed and threw away they would have seen they where Absolutely brand new OEM Genuine Mercedes Benz wiper blades I just installed. When I called to ask where my car was for the third day of my oil change I also asked where my brand new wiper blades where and of course they threw them away. I asked her if they at least replaced them with genuine Mercedes Benz wiper blades and see assured me they did. Well they didn't. They replaced them with much cheaper Bosh wiper blades and threw my very expensive OEM blades in the trash. One of the service items is also an air filter. I have a K&N lifetime air filter. I didn't see an adjustment on the labor for not replacing my air filter. Also, I think for $440.00 they should top off the Blue Def tank as well. Again. Not a deal breaker. Now I have to find a better place to have my car serviced. read more

I drove about 1000 miles from Maryland to Florida, and near the end of the trip the headlight went out, not really a big deal, so since I did not know any mechanics here yet, I went to the Ocala BMW dealer. I gave them my VIN number and phone number and was told someone will be with me to make an appointment. Ninety minutes later no one came to talk to me, I asked again and was rather brushed off, they had more important repairs to do than a head light. Well If I had my tools and jack with me I would have done it myself, so I left. Drove out of the dealership and asked Google for the best BMW mechanic in the area. AG Motorworks was first on the list. When I arrived I was greeted as if I was an old customer. I explained I had a flight back to Maryland Wednesday and needed this fixed before than. Immediately I was given an appointment to fit my schedule (which was to be Monday). It was later afternoon Friday. I was a happy camper. On Sunday I went to Church and after mass, my car started miss firing, of course it was cylinder 6 the hardest one to get to. When I arrived early on Monday morning, I explained the headlight was the least of my concerns and needed the plugs and bad coil replaced. They were concerned, as they had to confirm what the issue was and order the parts. Concerned, why? Because this place is great, as evident by the amount of work of vehicles that were there before me. Gary at first wasn't sure if he could fit me in, but when I explained my schedule, he said he would have it scoped and fixed by late Tuesday afternoon. Well 9am on Tuesday I got the call that my vehicle as ready for pickup. I'm an older guy and have lived west in Arizona to a few cities on the East coast, I have a lot of experience with mechanics, and I can said without any hesitation, that Gary and AG Motorworks is the best I have seen. When I returned after the new year they will be my #1 shop. There was other work that needed to be done, but Gary recommended that I wait as it was not immediately necessary, it's an expensive repair, but Gary put a customer, and someone he did not even know, over the mighty Dollar. I have had my MB E350 ML blutech worked on 3 times. First two was great. I really liked the owners, but on the third time which was a B service they must have had a bad employee do the work. They left wiring disconnected, gaskets left out and made a real mess of things. I had to take it to another shop to get it fixed. I will never use this service again. If you want to be ripped off, this is the place to go. Took my 2009 standard transmission Mini Cooper to have it checked out before leaving on a trip. This was a tow car for our motorhome. Gary checked it out and, oh my god, there were many things wrong with it. But he just happened to have an identical Mini for sale that was a dream. The turbo engine had been totally rebuilt, etc. He hated to let it go, but we could have it. And don't worry that the "check engine light" is always on. It's because of the "after market headlights." We were in a jam, so we bought it. A day later, the car was underivable after driving it 10 miles . We notified Gary, and he said that we had probably screwed up the clutch. We had to leave the next day on a three week trip. The Mini stayed in our garage. When we returned, we had the car checked out by a different mechanic and he hooked it up to the machine and the results came back with 10 misfiring codes along with a bad clutch. Had the car towed back to Gary. He said the clutch was in pieces and we must have done that. He could put in a new clutch for $3,900. What a guy! read more
