Called spoke with Karen about a repair I needed done and price was given of $300.00 covers everything. Now all of a sudden I get call back it's now $500. Told them no. Went for the car was charge $75,00 for what they already knew what had to be done. Also put in a top off of coolant $30.00 never did I give them permission for that or even asked about it to be done. I was once told by an expert car mechanic whom also wrote to best selling books....judge the service area before you have any work done and plus get a 2nd opinion. I hate writing bad reviews but sometimes places need to receive constructive feedback so they can improve. This place kinda sucks 1. The service manager (the guy, not the lady) on the phone was always rude every time I called 2. They are quite pricey for pretty poor service 3. It took them nearly 2 months to finish my car 4.The service manager just really rubbed me the wrong way with his combative attitude and his lack of listening skills. Other than that I really wanted to like this place because its close to my house and convenient to get to but after this experience I won't be going back. read more

I've been using Hector at Gary's Automotive for many years now. His prices have always been reasonable. His work has been excellent with no "go backs" in over a decade. Recently my daughter's truck started acting weird while she was enroute back to her home in Las Vegas. Hector squeezed her in, quickly diagnosed the problem and rapidly repaired it, getting her back on the road on the same day the problem occurred. Repaired my father's lucerne for a oil leak $1000.00, still leaked oil the day he got it home, called back they told him to bring it back, sat for 4 days with nothing done, my dad had to call them , said he needed his car, still have not called him back on what the resolution will be, I called, they did not call me back, I also asked them to make sure then gave him a senior discount-they said they would, they didn't according to receipt. read more

My car broke down near their shop. (just across the street actually.) I got ahold of them and they were nice enough to come take a look at it where it was. They got me running and took me back to their shop. They gave me two options. They showed me exactly what was wrong and told me how to fix it and said I was able to take my vehicle and do it myself it or option B was for a very reasonable price they would fix it for me. At the price they quoted me I felt that it was just as easy for them to do it. They got me in the same day and fixed it right up. They were very informative about what they were doing and what the recommended. If I had another automotive issue I would not hesitate to take my vehicle back to this shop. The price I was quoted for the repairs was the price that I paid at the end and I believe they went above and beyond during the service. read more

Robert, Old Mike, New Mike, a few others... and I can say from experience that they are all very well seasoned, professional, and talented in their craft. Gary himself has always been extremely enlightening, he will over-explain certain things about your car in order to provide you with all of the available information possible so that you can make the best decision for yourself. Gary's Automotive successfully transcends the nearly ubiquitous auto-shop curse of getting billed for service that exists behind dark curtains, I have been here many many times replacing parts on a 20+ year old car that I want to restore to mint condition (what you would call a 'goldmine' in this industry) and not once had he shown me any side of wrong... he has continually shown me honesty and genuine trustworthiness through his character. I nearly always do my own auto repair but there are certain things that even I can't do because I just don't have the facilities to do them. I don't normally trust anyone to touch my vehicles, so I was VERY skeptical at first when I went to Gary's. I soon realized that Gary and his staff are VERY knowledgeable, competent and proficient. Gary knows that I know quite a bit about my automobiles and talks to me on a level of respect. I will trust nobody but Gary's to do any repairs or maintenance on any of my vehicles because I KNOW that he and his team will do excellent work on them. I am very tight with my $$$ but I definitely get the quality work that I demand when it comes to my automobiles.
