The space is minimalist and gives old fashioned turn of the 20th century vibes. There's obviously a lot of pride and a commitment to local foods here. We ordered the night's cocktail special the New York Sipper -yum- the Raquette salad, two of the small (not small at all) plates that were on special that night: the creamy barley risotto and the butternut squash and mushroom parpadella. As a main course, we shared the house-made mushroom burger, savory and flavorful. Everything was fantastic, with many earthy, fresh and delicious flavors and a variety of textures. We clearly ordered too much food, since the small plates were actually full portion-size. Skipped dessert, although the special was tiramisu.
