This was under. Reviews were good so I booked! He even gave me another option to give my car a cleaner look at no extra charge, and he took care on the install an area that was funky. Did he explain in detail? Yes. Do I remember? I'm embarrassed I do not. My takeaway is that he cares about his customers and making sure they know what's going on with their car. Sunday night driving home through the 60fwy and unfortunately a rock was launched into our windshield. So I decided to look on Yelp for a windshield replacement. I found Orangutint and decided to message for a quote. Within 10min I received a message from Felipe (owner of the shop) and provided me with a quote that's unbeatable. He was also honest about the advices he provided and didn't take advantage of situation. Mind you that this was Sunday evening and he was closed on Sundays and he took his time responding to me with all the questions I had. With the quote he provided, I couldn't resist but schedule an appointment. Brought in my Jeep today and finished the job within less than a hour. I tried to give this guy my business, but the experience went downhill fast. I had an appointment scheduled and had to cancel, but I let him know right away. I rebooked for another day and even paid a deposit like he asked. Before the appointment, we talked about doing 35% vs 50% tint on the windshield, and I was leaning toward 35%. The next morning, I drove about 30 minutes to the shop, and that's when he told me the 35% tint we discussed wasn't even available. That was the main option I wanted, so it was a complete waste of a trip. I asked for my deposit back. He eventually sent it, but acted like it was a big inconvenience and kept bringing up the first appointment, even though I canceled it properly and rescheduled. What really threw me off was his attitude--he straight up said he didn't need my business and told me to go ahead and write as many reviews as I want. That says everything. If you care about communication and basic customer service, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Orangutint Shade Lab was the first business to respond to my inquiry. Not only that, they were the least expensive. Throughout the project, they were communicative including the day of letting me know they were running late. While on site, Alfredo was patient with my questions and respectful of my property, even removing my fasttrack sticker off my cracked windshield and sticking it on my mirror. One of my concerns was calibrating the new windshield with the modern technology on my CRV. I was assured nothing was unplugged and there shouldn't be an issue but to contact him if there was. Upon driving after initial installation, it didn't seem the features were working. I called Alfredo to talk it thru. While we were on the phone it was as if my CRV needed a little time to recalculate and all the features started working. Let me just say, we didn't necessarily go with Orangutint because of the price, although that was a factor considered. It was the constant communication and attention and the pricing. I requested quotes on Yelp for prices and waited for a response to see who was able to replace his windshield at work today. We were happily surprised at the immediate response from Felipe to our request. He was able to go to my husband's work before noon and replace it in the parking lot. It only took 45 minutes to have it replaced. They accept major credit cards with a 3% additional charge, but even still, their prices were still lower than other competitors nearby. He also accepts debit cards, VENMO or cash if you want to save yourself the 3% which is $6.60 more. My husband was fully satisfied with their service, price and quality overall. read more
