We contacted Martel Drilling to drill and install a new well on our property on the St. Croix…read moreRiver. The explained the process completely, answering all my questions and their pricing was right in line with others we had contacted. They completed their drilling the site was as though they had never been there. We had a tremendous experience with Martel and I highly recommend them to all.

Serious issues with Martell Well. They used incompatible fittings to connect the well pump to the…read morepipe when they installed my well in 2004 and again in 2012. The connection was leaking profusely120' below ground. The fitting on the pump was a pipe fitting and they used a tapered PVC fitting with short threads to connect to the pump. The fittings were the same size but were different threads. We had poor water pressure in the house ever since they installed the well and pump because the connection leaking to the pump. It was hemorrhaging as much water from the connection as it was pumping out of the top of the well. The connection to the pump became completely disconnected in 2012 resulting in no water to the house at all. I called Martell to correct the issue and they installed a new well pump and another faulty connection. They installed a new pump even though there wasn't anything wrong with the old pump, the problem was with their faulty connection to the pump. After 2012 I continued to deal with the same poor water pressure until this year when I had another well service replace the pump and connection that Martel installed. The new installer did a great job and I now have excellent water pressure. The new service commented that the pump Martel installed was a piece of junk as it had a plastic top. My new pump is all stainless steel connected to all steel fittings. The new installer explained in great detail the differences in the connection from Martell's pump to the PVC pipe which caused the leak. As the new installer pulled the pump out of the well water poured out of the connection to the pump. I have all this on video on my phone. If Martel used these same connections in the hundreds of wells they have installed in Wisconsin then they are all leaking below the surface. You can't tell this is happening because you cannot see it until it pulled out of the well. And you have to be standing there to see it when it comes out. Again I have a video of mine leaking so can prove it happened. I complained to Martel in writing and on the phone several times about this but the only thing they did was forward my letter to their attorney and denied to help me in any way. Martell is incompetent and unqualified.

I called countryside as they were who I trusted to install the hot water heater. I spoke with some gal and explained to her that we are smelling gas from the hot water tank she said ok put me on hold for 10min.... She comes back to say that they can't send anyone out til Monday I told her that was BS and that it's a gas leak they can send someone now. She then sends me to Mike I then explain to him the same thing and that it's bullshit to have to wait til Monday for a gas leak he then laughs at me and says if I swear again he is going to end the call I ended up getting furious with him said some words and ended the call for him hey Mike what if this was your home with children you gonna wait til Monday POS So I reached out to another company who will be here in 30 minutes not days I do not recommend this company they over charge for everything and there customer service is shit you mean a lot to them until the sale is done not the way you do business Update Xcel came out and for your company's information I have had a gas leak at the water heater control valve for almost a year now thank you for your quality install and putting my family at risk we are now done with this company we don't take playing with our lives lightly They say a faulty part from manufacture or could it have been one to many turns at the time of install and was cracked And coincidentally my wife's business had same issue we tried this business several times and now we're moving on I appreciate the phone call though trying to get me to remove my review but maybe if you guys didn't treat a gas leak as a laughing matter I would been a little easier
