The sales team's answers on the availability of a car makes you wonder if they are really selling the original cars or doll cars. They don't know the availability of the car and are unable to search it within their system or in the location. They hide their mistakes and simply try to fool customers. When you question what responsibility they take, the sales manager Mr.Jordan reacts very rude towards the customer ( specifically if BROWN SKIN). He needs to get training and learn how to treat people, understand the situation and help customers, instead of showing disrespectful behavior. Horrible customer service and terrible lies. read more

My Kona got smashed by a deer. My purchase location could not even review the damage for 2 months. We had visited this location when shopping and the sales people seemed relaxed and not pushy, but didn't have what we wanted. So we decided to see if service could handle the body damage. 1. It took them several days to get it towed, yes it was that bad. And ended up billing my insurance company 800.00 for the towing. Keep in mind this car was only 8 months old. And Hyundai road service would have towed the car for free. However service lied. This was just the beginning. 2. Service manager acted like he didn't have a conversation with me regarding when parts would be available. Which was a few weeks. Not months. 3. 15k they got out of my insurance company! The car ended up with damage listed on it that we were not aware of, such as hail damage to the roof. Car was never in a hail storm. The list of items were insane, some reviewed by another body shop, was a casualty of the work they did. Basically the whole passenger side of the car was destroyed by this very large deer. Air bags didn't go off learned something about that. So much for curtain airbags. 4. Conversations with the service manager, we questioned the way they wrote the estimate to hide various issues that would have prompted the insurance company to total it. I was reassured that they could fix this car safely. With covid insurance companies are doing everything from photos and taking the word of the body shops. To approve estimates and work. So they fixed it. We did not buy a car from them nor any other Hyundai. We decided they weren't trust worthy. As well as Hyundai customer care. We wanted the car to get reviewed by Hyundai, they give you a mound of papers to try and execute such activities. But comically the dealership had it all back together and ready to sell before they could even initiate such review. Really bad... I called when our car got listed for sale, just to see what they had to say. Salesman when asked about the accident on the carfax, stated it was a minor deer encounter, and we decided to buy another car from them. We did not buy not another Hyundai, let alone any other model of car from this dealership. Never will do business with this place even if my car broke right in front of the place! I would pay whatever it would cost to get as far away from them. I lost a significant amount of money on this car. They should have done the right thing, all the way from the start. We were not even offered a loaner car. Insurance covers rentals when the car is being worked on. Not while it's waiting for parts. We had an untimely family emergency, that was expressed in hopes to obtain a loaner. There was no care, that we had to be on the road like yesterday. I DO THANK THIS DEALERSHIP FOR REINFORCING WHY I DON'T LIKE DEALING WITH THEM. Enlightening the safety problems this car presented. I have a problem with any dealership that employs Service Advisors that present repairs to female customer in such a way as to make it sound as if repairs must be done by the dealer. In the last case they intimated that she needed to buy the battery through them because there was something special about it. You succeeded in getting her to spend $300 on a battery and are now part of a fraternity of two that have ever taken advantage of her and lived to tell the tale (you and a certain bass player). You should be ashamed of taking advantage of your customers for profit! read more

I took my car (Ford Edge) in yesterday to have an interior and exterior detail. I was told that as long as I was there by 1pm that it would be done by 5pm. That afternoon I received a call asking if I could wait until 8pm to pick the vehicle up because the carpet wouldn't be dry. I told them that I could wait and pick it up in the morning before work to ensure that it would be dry. I arrived the next morning around 7:45 to pick it up. Guess what? you got it, the carpeting was still extremely wet. So much so that driving to work the windows were fogged over on the inside of the glass because there was so much moisture in the air. When I got to work I was looking it over and noticed the floor mats were not in place. I opened the back hatch and they were all stacked up together. How in the world would they dry or the cargo mat carpet dry like that? I pulled the mats out to set them outside to dry. When I separated the mats the rubber front floor mats started dripping cleaning solution. They didn't even to bother to rinse those off before throwing them in with the carpet floor mats stacked on top of them. I had to carry them into my work and rinse them and then scrub the floor mats clean myself. Also there were a few places on the exterior of the car that they failed to wipe/buff the paste wax that I had to wipe down. When I called to report the problems the service manager agreed with me that it shouldn't have happened and that this time of year it does take longer for the carpets to dry but that's really all that was said. Not bring it back in and we can try vacuuming it again to get the rest of the water out of the carpet (or any kind of solution at all), not sorry you had to finish our work yourself. No offer to do anything. I will not take my vehicle there again if this is the kind of service they offer. read more

I just purchased my new Hyundai Sonata, so I am still in the honeymoon period. However the purchasing (dating) phase was better than any other new car/SUV I have purchased before. The pricing was completely transparent, and when compared elsewhere (300 miles radius) was among the best price. The salesperson answered all my questions, and there was never any questions about which bonuses applied and which didn't. In short, the other shoe never dropped. The great price offered was the great price I got at over $10k off the MSRP with bonuses and rebates. There was no 4-Square sales tactics, and I would gladly send my friends and family members there to buy a new car. read more

They were not busy, in fact I was the only person there and they still made me wait 1.5 hours for an oil change. They were all standing around and not working while I sat there fuming. Then they tried to tell me my new-ish tires were bald and tried to sell me $800 tires. I took them to Walmart and the guy there said they were fine. I have been called at least 5 times from this dealership trying to buy my Elantra, which I just purchased (from a dealer in Missouri) about 2 years ago. The guy even asked me if I wanted to go over my "appraisal" while I was waiting for my oil change. There is definitely a weird vibe at this place. Which is a shame, I really loved the dealership I used to go to in Missouri. Update: I did forget to mention that after the 1.5 hours my car wasn't cleaned which was supposed to be included. But because I was so angry about having to wait so long, they gave me a coupon to come back within 30 days to go through their car wash. You would think that with no other cars in the service area they could manage an oil change and a wash down within 1.5 hours. When I took my car to the dealership in Missouri, they not only had it changed in 20 minutes, they gave it back sparkling clean, and had a much nicer waiting area. read more

I bought a new 2019 Hyundai Tucson less 30 days ago. The salesperson was superb and I like the vehicle. I already had financing lined up through my bank and was ready to buy. I am ranking Stew Hansen Hyundai with one star solely because of the Finance Department. I had a pre-approval notification from my bank and I was not interested in finance offers from competitors. In fact, I was asked if I wanted to see offers from other lenders and I declined. I like the rate that I got from my bank and I didn't want to waste time in the dealership when I did not want another offer and I certainly did not want the impact of multiple hard inquiries on my credit report. Today, I checked my credit report and find that the Finance guy ignored my declination for other offers. I have 4 hard inquiries on my credit report because of it. As a person that struggled with student loan debt for a time (I finally paid it off) and low credit scores because of it, it is devastating to have my score drop 30 points overnight for something that I declined. The only inquiry should have been from my bank. Instead, there are 4 inquiries on the same date originating from Stew Hansen Hyundai. One from my bank plus 3 other competing lenders. I am furious. I wondered how the guy knew he could offer me a better rate when I went to sign the paperwork. Though customer service from the salesperson was on point, I will not purchase another vehicle at Stew Hansen Hyundai in the future and I will not provide a positive recommendation. As I am reviewing the paperwork that is handed to me after purchasing a new car, I am becoming aware of the lies that I was told in the financing office of this dealership. Beware of the digital signature pad! You do not see what you are signing before it is final. Ask for everything you are asked to sign is printed on paper. Kyle, the finance guy told us that we HAD to pay an additional $400 for a safety feature on the windshield of our 2017 Hyundai Tuscon, this sounded sketchy but we trusted his information. Never did he say that this was optional or a warranty. Any time we heard warranty we declined, so I guess Kyle moved on the a lie. This is the second lie that we have discovered that came out of this financing office and I am disgusted! We will not purchase another vehicle from Stew Hansen, they are snakes. read more

Maintenance Review!!! So I had my first maintenance, and I purchased this AdvantageCare package (A discounted bundled package of oil changes including car washes). I booked the appt online and had to change it a few times due to unforeseen weather and each time it was easy to change the appt. The person who helped me, Jordan, was helpful and patient. I tend to have questions as a consumer and he was able to explain well. I was there for my first oil and filter change + multipoint inspection . . . And needed some help with the the accessories that came with the car (the circular plastic pieces on the floor mats were installed backwards and one popped off a floor mat), which Jordan was happy to help fix. I was in and out within 45 minutes! They also had complimentary cookies, coffee, water, and hot chocolate. Children were playing while their mothers waited. A gentlemen came and announced shuttle service for anyone who would like a ride, and he also asked customers what channel they preferred watching while waiting. The service dept. is 90% of the decision-making process when I buy from a dealer believe it or not . . . And was part of my research when I was deciding on where I wanted to buy my latest vehicle. So far, I'm very happy with Stew Hansen Hyundai, and I am willing to recommend the dealership to friends and family. read more

Have used Stew Hansen off and on for the past few years for service on my two Hyundai's. There is always some fine print it seems that you are not told about. I purchased multiple "advantage care" plans and it seems the only "advantage" to these plans is Stew Hansen skims some serious cash off of you. These plans are non-transferable to other vehicles, come with expiration dates that are hard to even reach within a year unless doing heavy driving and Tony P. will be less than sympathetic about when they expire. I understand business is business, but at Stew Hansen it really is business. It is interesting to note that Stew Hansen is part of a national conglomerate of car dealers and really you are not supporting anyone local when you go here. I spent 9 months without my car because of the incompetency and dishonesty from the people who work in the collision center at Stew Hansen Hyundai. They were not authorized by Hyundai to work on my vehicle (an Ioniq 5) because it is electric, but they did not disclose that up-front. Instead of repairing it, my car was out of order for 9 months because the battery would not re-charge and the AC would not work and they could not determine the cause or solution for either problem. The car was towed to a Hyundai dealer in NE (which was authorized to work on the vehicle) in December 2022 for more evaluations. In January, 2023, that dealer determined that the issues were due to a blown fuse. A BLOWN FUSE. I am going to say this again: the car was not driveable for 9 months because of a blown fuse that they could not identify. On top of the dishonesty and incompetency, none of the people who work there (including general manager Steve Amos) offered a loaner for us to drive, or reimbursements for the many expenses that we incurred over those months, or anything else. I have nothing to say other than as soon as I sell this vehicle, my mind will forever forget the Hyundai brand, vehicles, and people. read more

I asked the parts person if they were busy as I hadn't gotten a reply to my E-mail. He said "Oh, those E-mails go to our headquarters in Utah and I haven't seen it". So I bought the parts and headed home . Got home, one part was wrong. Went back to the dealership (another 14 mile trip). I recently purchased a "certified" vehicle from Stew Hanson. When I first inspected the car, I found multiple dents and scratches on the exterior, however, my salesperson, Ramo, promised that these would be removed by the time I picked it up. I wish I would have realized then, that this was the beginning of what turned out to be a nightmare of an experience. Two weeks later, (and one week later than what was initially promised) I returned to pick up my car. Not only were those defects still on the outside of the car, but as an added bonus, there was now a four-inch tear in the passenger seat. Wonderful. When I pointed this out, one of the team members even commented: "Wow, it looks like they did nothing with this car." Ehhhh, yeah! At this point, I was promised a loaner while they took another week to fix the defects they supposedly already "fixed". At this point, I was frustrated, but I tried to be patient. However, my patience ran out when my multiple calls, texts, and emails about picking up said loaner car went ignored. Finally, my father had to get involved because they wouldn't answer my attempts at communication. If the headache of the getting the vehicle repairs wasn't enough, Tim, the financial manager, convinced me to sign up for additional coverage. But he failed to mention that this additional coverage would cost me an additional couple thousand dollars. (I'm sure it probably just slipped his mind.) What should have been a weeklong process, turned into a month-long ordeal. I went to Stew Hansen with much hope for my car buying due to the dealership's good reviews. As a young, female, first-time car buyer, my greatest fear was being taken advantage of and that fear felt like a reality. The way I was treated is absolutely unacceptable. My time was wasted by the pure lack of communication and professionalism. Now for the ONLY reason, I'm giving this dealership 2 stars: the General Manager, Scott. When Scott found out about my experience, he was extremely proactive, professional, courteous, and kind. He genuinely listened to me and took immediate action to turn my car buying experience around. He went out of his way to contact me and did everything in his power to mend the situation. He ensured that as a car buyer, I felt valued and appreciated. Thank you Scott, you were wonderful and I hope the rest of the Stew Hanson team will learn from your outstanding leadership and customer service. After driving my car for a few weeks now, I can say that I am satisfied with my purchase. I just wish that my initial experience had been more positive. I came to this place because they had the best rates and reviews, so I looked at cars and I got a used 2010 Chevy Impala from them the day before Christmas in 2016. I have had the car just shy of 6 months and I have had to fix it 4 times now, I have never in my life had to fix a car that has had so many issues, I'm so upset with them and they can't really do much about it either besides take my money and attempt to fix the car. First off...lets begin by saying i ultimately ended up not purchasing the beautiful, new ioniq from these fine folks only because i sadly discovered how upside down i was in my chevrolet volt which i dearly love... but drive nearly 170 miles daily and am disappointed in the mpg on the gas side of...enter the new ioniq...rated to be 59 mpg...nicely appointed even in the base blue model...so they have my attention...que to dealership...david approached with a smile and showed us around the vehicle...the ioniq is so new they took the team approach to answering every single question we had...test drive...love it...time to talk turkey...asking price was better than reasonable (several thousand below msrp)...trade in value time...crushing...volt had lost over half its value...thats when the "team" (and i DO mean TEAM) really dug in their collective heals to try to get me as much as they possibly could for my volt...now i realize these folks need some meat on the bone left so they don't lose their collective asses on trades...but i believe they were willing to severely cut to get me where i needed to be...sadly i could not take that big of a hit to get in the ioniq yet! Had a minor problem at purchase time but everything was taken care of by the management.

Dealer most likely tried to scam with damaged and defected vehicles in hoping I would not notice. I do not think it was an accident on their part since I was able to spot the issues immediately and have nothing to do with cars as a career. Sold me a brand new off the lot 2017 Elantra with paint chipping / rust on the front fender. The rust is obvious and they should of spotted it. They even had me sign me papers showing a professional examined the car and it was in new condition--probably fake as no mechanic would miss this. I complained to Hyundai corporate and the dealer. Hyundai called my wife and refused to replace or refund vehicle. I complained to BBB and IMMEDIATELY after the dealer saw my complaint, he offered to finally replace the vehicle. (The dealer posted on my BBB complaint LYING saying there was a miscommunication) Again, dealer hand picked the replacement, and you guessed it, it was a cherry picked lemon. Not only did the replacement come with OBVIOUS PAINT DEFECTS on the trunk lid that anyone standing behind the car can obviously see, it was missing components of the original car. About the paint defects on 2nd car. It most likely either touch up paint or rust forming under the paint (this is supposed to be a brand new car). Mechanic and Sales Person agreed it could be buffed out while I sign the transfer papers. After I signed the papers, I go to get the car only to spot the defect was not corrected. There I am told that the defect is too severe for it to be buffed out. The trunk needs to be sanded down and repainted, and that it probably would not match. I was absolutely furious for being scammed a 2nd time by these folks. Manager immediately kicked me off his lot for arguing to him about scamming me with defected cars. My BBB complaint is still open and I'll get a refund or see this dealer in court. I do not recommend them at all. read more

My wife and I showed up to buy a used Hyundai around 15k and Randy showed us all the used options but also a new Sonota that had its price cut greatly. We fell in love the second we got in the car and Randy was the perfect salesman to let us ease into the car. Not pushy, very friendly, kind of a joker - but not the salesman canned jokes you expect - and after taking it for a test spin we knew there was no question we were going to buy the car. The purchase process could not have been any easier, we go the terms we were looking for at the start of the day and didn't have our arms twisted to buy any add-ons. I had a terrible experience with the sales staff. Worked with a salesman on a vehicle that had been listed online. I verified all the features I was looking for and after doing a lot of shopping around I decided to make the 90 minute drive to sign paperwork on a vehicle- when I arrived I opened the door of the vehicle to find out instantly that the options I needed were not included on this vehicle and the sales staff kept reassuring me "it wasn't that big of a deal". They wasted my time and money and was given nothing more than a shrug and a haphazard apology. *BEWARE OF LEASE! The salesmen are nice people but I wouldn't send my worst enemy here to LEASE a car: When you sign the lease you agree to pay $400 at the end of it, ok, but what they won't tell you is even if your car is returned in perfect condition they will still send you a bill for an extra $250 wear & tear + $200 for the next year of registration, even though you no longer own the vehicle that year. My on the phone experience (since they, the dealership say they can't explain the charges & that you must call the manufacture) has been a nightmare. over 2hrs on the phone (that's each time 3 times I've called) 90% of which was on hold, they telling me I need to speak w/ this & that department (run around) & still have not spoken to a single person that can explain why I got these extra charges & why Im being billed for this year of registration when I have obviously returned the car & I no longer own/lease it. The management here obviously sucks. *UPDATE: The manager of the store left a reply down below, tells me to call their customer service rep, I call the number & just like their corporate office, I get the run around & sent to voicemail & never received any calls back. I should have known from my first car purchase that I should not have returned here. I was supposed to get my oil changes transferred to my new vehicle (my other car was totaled in an accident) because they were rec'd due to the finance guy with my first purchase kept trying to add extra stuff to my loan without permission. 3 times..I have recently left several messages with no response. Then I had asked about getting a recall issue done on a Saturday due to my work schedule, again they would check, again no response. Left a message for appt for oil change, it's been over a week no response. I was in a hurry to get into a new vehicle, my own fault, but I refinanced 6mos later with my credit union at 2 points less. Everything they do is a sham and based on what they can do to get their pockets lined. I don't like to 'hate" things. I despise this place as much as humanly possible. The only good thing about this place at the time was Kim, who assisted me in getting things right and Jake a mgr who I think is no longer there, gave me a refund on the extra charge the guy kept putting on my loan. People who have expectations of good customer service are labeled as difficult. Which is unfortunate, it's called standards especially when you are paying thousands of dollars for something and then can't even get a return call or email. Never again. read more

With that being said, its very hard to turn 2 upside down cars into one car payment but guess what? They did it for me and now I have a close date for my house. Purchased a 2013 Elantra on February 5, 2016. The vehicle was pre-certified. I didn't test drive the vehicle and after I paid cash took off with the vehicle. I did stop back to pickup my other vehicle and made a comment to the salesman that there was a lot of road noise. He stated maybe the difference in a lighter car. Hard time getting the plates, finally on the 28th of March I got them. Went in for a lube today and tire rotation, The road noise moved up front and couldn't even hear the radio. I went to A Firestone Dealer because Firestone Tires are on the vehicle and they advised me that both front tires are cupped meaning I have rear shocks that are bad. Called Stew Hansen and vehicle has 62,200 miles on it and since its passed 60,000 No Warranty. Thanks a lot Stew! Firestone did check the shocks on the 5 of April and they were ok. The tires had cupped and was causing the noise. Firestone did prorate the tires and lifetime alignment which was way off. $700.00 but she drives like a dream Thanks Firestone. They did advise me to put a sand bag in the trunk over the axle, apparently not enough weight back there to make the shocks work. Added weight should keep the tires from cupping. Not happy with Stew Hansen, but I guess a Pre Certified Vehicle really doesn't mean nothing. Vehicle had 58,200 miles on it at time of purchase. read more

Went to Stews used car lot. My Chinese girlfriend was looking to buy her daughter a car. The sales guy acted like she was ready to sign the paperwork. A complete ass. I went with her to check the car out. Right off before the test drive he says. Its low on gas. "DON'T DRIVE IT TO FAR" I drove it down the road it was gutless. Guessing fuel injectors might have been clogged. I took a meter to check the charging system. 13.85. Should have been 14.5vdc. The brakes were spongy. I asked him about it. Oh the service guys check these out. Yet no proof. Dont tell me stuff you cant back up. The battery had signs of corrosion and having been replaced. As in not the original equipment battery. This was a 49000 mile car. The brake fluid even was looking low. Above min. Level but not up to the full level. The car had two previous owners not that he divulged that tid bit of info. Short story they tried to screw over my Chinese girlfriend because they thought they could get away with it. They showed no Concern for my girlfriends needs as she mentioned she was buying it for her step daughter who cant aford a pile of crap car. That needs breaks, battery and most likely a alternator. The online search showed a number of people having problems with the key fob starting the car with a 2013 Mazda. If i could give 0 stars i would. I purchased a car from them for $10,500. Within 2 weeks the paint was peeling from the bumper. A year passes and I am ready to trade up to something nicer. The dealer comes to me and let's me in on the bad news. The car I still owe 8500 on has extensive frame damage and is worth practically nothing. So I go in and speak with the general manager. He asked me about it and I tell him. He chuckled and said what do you think will happen here? I state I would like stew hansen to take the damaged car back because it is far from what I agreed apon when buying it. Not only is it a safety risk for me and my family, it is a mechanical issue that will lead to other problems. He laughs. I also noted to him that my bank is willing to get involved in this matter and that is when he went from laughing at me to being very smug to me. He threatened me with his attorneys name and said we will go that route and ended our conversation right there. Beware. This vehicle was noted with frame damage on the vin number report and they did not disclose this to me. This was my first vehicle loan and they were aware that i did not know much about the process. I strongly feel they took advantage of that.the car was bought at an auction as a frame damaged car and they turned around and sold it to me at full market value. Will never send anyone to them. I am now paying over 10,500 for a vehicle that not only could fail and harm me or you, but is worth next to nothing as equity. read more

I bought my car at the end of October, and have made three payments. In the last month it is having problems starting. I took it in, and they suggest a new battery. They have a battery for $320! I also have 4 different lights that are out. I ask how can 4 be out as I just got the car. He said it's like your house, lights flicker, and they go out. I have never had 4 different lights go out in my house at the same time. In total I will pay almost more today than I have made in payments. I only give it a 2 because my sales agent was a great guy! read more
