I normally don't stay at Bed & Breakfast places but after this amazing experience I just might. Randy the owner was an outstanding host and treated me like family. Cooking home made breakfast, wine & cheese nightly & a couple time we just sat and hung out. The Inn is perfectly located with all the amenities you have at your own house. I'm coming back with my family and telling my friends about this 'hidden' gem in central Wisconsin.

The only email I have showing I have two rooms. Which isn't correct. I ended up paying around $660.

In August I booked a room for the night before my wedding, and wedding night in October. I thought all was good, until I received a phone call from Randy informing me he doesn't accept Amex. A few days later, I booked a room using a MasterCard. I received two confirmations, which I attached. Fast forward to the wedding day, as I'm having breakfast with my daughter and a lovely couple at the Stewart Inn, he informs me (in front of the couple) that I had two rooms booked there. I did see a charge that morning from them for $390 on my Amex, which he previously said he didn't take, but I did not want to worry about it that day, as I was already all nerves about the wedding. I was instantly sick to my stomach and asked if he's actually charging me for this room that no one is staying in. He said "I'll try to rent out the room tonight, but that's all I can do." I took my daughter and left completely distraught. My 10 year old daughter pointed out to me that when we initially checked in on Wednesday he only showed us our room, and he gave us only one key, and never mentioned another room. When we got back from rehearsal Wednesday night there was a note by our door. My daughter and I were confused because it said something about another room being available if we needed it. I just put it aside, assuming that he meant if any guests (from my wedding) needed a place to stay they had availability. The next day I found out that the other available room was apparently mine. The worst part is how completely unprofessional and rude he's been about this. We have a mutual friend whom I used to work with, and he mentions that I should ask her about this, because she agrees with him. I'll just attach a snippet of the email he sent me for your viewing pleasure, because it's completely insane. I'm currently disputing the charges for the other room with my credit card company. So yes, this is a nice place to stay, but I have to disagree with what others are saying about the owner. I personally don't like to support businesses with owners who take advantage of others.

Jefferson Street Inn - Room 303 - tiny compared to others. View of demolished buildings outside and TV obstructed view from bed. Way different from other rooms!

Honestly I only stayed here because their prices were reasonable compared to my usually Holliday Inns in town (which for some reason have been crazy high of late). Looks like I may be changing my habits! The room was clean and very spacious. The one I stayed in had a hot tub and a (electric) fireplace. Price included free breakfast delivered from a nearby coffee shop. The food needs to be ordered at night and you pick it up the next morning in lobby. There is a pool and hot tub, but you do have to take a separate elevator to get to it. The hotel itself in interesting. You take one elevator to get to the first 4 floors, another to get to the 5th and, like I said, a 3rd one to get to the pool and adjoining buildings. TV's are nice, but have limited cable. Would also like more outlets near the bed. Had to unplug the clock to plug in my phone. Like that the have covered parking available for those winter stays!

It's amazing - I couldn't get a pizza delivered to the hotel after 9 PM, the "Char" upscale restaurant connected to the hotel (with their snooty bartender) has a kitchen that closes at 9 PM, BUT A BUSINESS CAN HAVE THEIR HVAC SYSTEM'S VENTILATION DUCT POWERWASHED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. Nice. Made for a great night's sleep.

We stayed over New Years, it is the perfect location for our time on the slopes at Granite Peak…read more The inn is a cute little hotel with two room options, we had one of each and we were given adjoining rooms. Sometimes this is hard for the bigger hotel chains to do, even when you book it that way. It was great to have both rooms, one with a small kitchen, during our stay. We brought our own food and drinks to make use of the kitchen area. We were warned at checkin that the walls are pretty thin and carry noise so they had set quiet hours. Since we were staying New Years Eve, and everyone would be staying up, they were a little more relaxed on the noise levels until after midnight. There is a hot tub on the main level that is pretty large. With it being winter and a larger amount of water it wasn't too hot, but it was nice so the extreme temperatures weren't too much of a shock. Adjacent to the lobby downstairs is the lounge and breakfast area. They had hot chocolate and coffee available with different toppings and creamers to add when the manager was on duty, Breakfast was served in the same area in the morning. Lots of options including bagels, waffles, eggs, potatoes, juices, and more. Various toppings for all was also available. The inn is within walking distance to Granite Peak, though I wouldn't want to carry all my gear through the parking lot. We did use the path through the woods to get to the NYE party at Granite Peak after closing. The price wasn't too bad for the holiday weekend. The group enjoyed staying here and we would stay again.
