Terrible customer service. The Technion never showed up for our appointment. The woman in the office was very rude and not helpful.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! My parents home was in need of a new septic system because the current system was completely failing.. We first called Stewarts Septic in March of 2023!... It is mid October now and our septic system is still unfinished with a bobcat in our backyard and the ground completely torn up! Every step has taken unreasonably long times and the calling them does nothing, most times you will get a voicemail... theres constantly an excuse or some bs or they are on vacation/"out of town"... For 7 months we have NOT been able to use our bathrooms, do laundry, or use water freely at my parents home...meanwhile they continue to charge us full price to pump our system out everytime it fills up which is averaging atleast once a month!.. Pretty fishy business tactics if you ask me! All of these negative reviews are VERY accurate! Never on time! Will tell you they will come on a certain day and never show up and have some stupid excuse! Return calls and updates are painful to get having to email and hound THEM for info on what is going on! Definitely seems like they are trying to squeeze out as much $$$ as they can from their customers! What BS! DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS!!! read more

It was time for my first Septic Tank servicing and I did a bit of calling around however Stewarts was the only company to actually not send me to voicemail. Based upon some of my neighbors recommendations I decided to give them a try and I'm very thankful I did. A two man crew showed up promptly on time and gave me a thorough walk thru of the procedure and specifics about my home system (things the builder didn't even do). They were in and out in 30 minutes and did a super job and will certainly be calling them again. Thanks so much!! read more

Some background. I have used Stewart's since the original owner was located in Herndon, VA. My first septic tank pump was in 1993. Last week, having received my friendly notice that my tank needed to be pumped from the county, I called Stewart's, as in the past several times. The first appointment was not met, but at least the driver had the courtesy to call that afternoon to say that he had run into a problem with an earlier job that took more time. I rescheduled for another day. That appointment was also missed. But this time, there was no call from scheduler or driver. On their next business day, I called the scheduler. She said that she did not know why my appointment was missed but she could put me on for another day. I explained that this would be my third appointment and I needed assurance that my service would be completed this time. She said she could not do that, she only scheduled. She curtly said that I should call someone else (I had not suggested that) as she did not need "this crap". She then hung up. I am posting this to warn homeowners not to be fooled by older positive ratings. There is no doubt that current (July 2020) customer service is not a priority of this company. Don't be fooled. Your hard earned money deserves more than Stewart's can provide. read more

I made a service appointment after reading great reviews. No one showed for the appointment. I called and was told the driver "didn't pick up my ticket." I rescheduled. The rescheduled appointment - exact same thing. Third appointment today - no show, no call. I will never hire this company. Terrible service. read more

A total scammer! DO NOT USE FOR REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS! They will delay work until they think you HAVE to pay for extras that they fabricate. They are never on time. They don't return calls. Why they're still in business is beyond me. read more

A few years ago we used this service he double charged us for emptying our septic and when asked why he gave us some lame excuse and promised that he would do another service without charging us in the following year. After numerous phone calls to schedule and messages left, he has yet to return our phone call for over a year to make good on his promise. We have since used another Septic service who told us that we have a broken pipe that was most likely caused our previous septic service which would be Stewarts. So not only did he rob us we now have to spend hundreds of dollars to fix a problem he most likely caused. I would give NO stars if it let me. read more

He was very up front about anticipated costs, prompt, knowledgable and good about communicating exactly when he was going to show up on the scheduled day. Highly recommend! read more

Arrived on time and the gentleman that did the service was very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained how our system worked and located our diverter valve for the drain field. It was clogged with dirt and he took some time to clean it before making sure it worked properly. High recommend. Price was very fair. read more

Lost/ missing Contractor! please let us know if seen or found. After spending 120 dollars towards what should have been next day "just need to order some parts" repair -- Stewart and his services have vanished. I have left messages and emailed, tried all I could. I would give NO stars if it let me. read more

Highly Recommend Stewart's for your septic tank needs! From beginning to end, totally professional operation. The pleasant and efficient office staff did the scheduling and processed payment. We were scheduled within a week of our request. The first crew arrived when the said they would, and especially Jake, who did the inspection/assessment, was friendly and courteous, and answered all my questions. Danny, not the friendly sort, but seriously hard-working, did a yeoman's job and went above and beyond to get our tanks all cleaned up. They are pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. A nightmare if you use them for real estate transactions. Either they have no idea what they are doing or are swayed by realtors. They kept having to call someone else for answers to questions, I have a feeling this is a place where one person knows what they are doing and everyone else is trying to figure it out (on your dime.) oh yea, the customer service in the office would keep you away, far away (which is where you should stay from these guys.) read more

They did the septic inspection on my client's listing and found that the system needed significant work. They not only were able to do the work quickly and save the homeowner (my client) some money in the process, but they stayed in close communication with the county to help the permitting process move quickly, playing a critical role in getting the sale to close on time! At one point I happened to be awake at 2 AM when Dylan texted me, apologizing for "bothering" me but asking for some information so he could get things done on an accelerated schedule. I told him he was not bothering me, he was exceeding my expectations! Realtors and local lenders often work nights and weekends to keep things on track; in this case Dylan Stewart was fully a member of the team! Highly recommend! read more

If you are buying a house for septic hire them they will find any little thing wrong to make 40000 from a homeowner.

Stewart's took a downpayment for service after identifying the problem and told us they would return to fix the issue. After many phone calls and empty promises of returning to completed the work, Steward's failed to return after two months. We will not be using Steward's again and do not recommend them. read more

They have the worst service, communication, and professionalism. They replaced our tank and what should have been a 3-5 day project took 3 1/2 months. Our tank failed county inspection three times and on three occasions I came home to raw sewage in our yard. There were periods throughout the three months where they didn't show up to do any work for a week and a half at a time. There was little to no communication as to the progress and every time I called, my messages we left unanswered. Lastly our yard drops off in several places where the work was done. Come Spring we will have to fix our yard from all the damage done to our property. Terrible business ethics. read more

For the fourth time, Stewart's FAILED to show up to inspect my septic system to determine whether or not I need a new tank. Why would a company make one appointment after another, two of which I stayed home from work for, when it could be a $10,000 job???? I will not be calling back. read more
