Company is rebuilding and closing/rebuilding many locations. I see a nice improvement in food quality and reasonable prices.

We had a great time! Wait was minimal, maybe 5 minutes. Even though there's always a line, the lady…read morebehind the counter took the time to answer my questions before placing our order. Our son loves their Italian ice so much - he gets it each time. The kids sundae was the perfect size and can be made with both soft and hard ice creams. They have a large tree in the back that often the children flock to and play different games - it's nice to have somewhere to run around at there. It makes you feel like you're not on route 9. If it's raining, they have a tented area with glistening string lights, which can make for a romantic night out with the kids too. This was a great experience and have always had helpful employees!

They have fun options and offer ice cream pie/cake which I'm sure are amazing but we've never tried them. I often get a sundae with twist ice cream, peanut butter sauce and hot fudge. Their peanut butter is delicious, it has a real peanut butter taste unlike other ice cream places in the area. We have also tried their edible cookie dough sundaes which are also fantastic. The only reason we don't get them more often is just because it's so decadent. They must have recently changed to also accept cards rather than just cash so that's convenient. The staff is always friendly and makes your ice cream quickly. My only complaint would be that the menu is a little overwhelming and hard to follow but as long as you have a general idea of what you want it doesn't really matter that much.

Located on Brown's Beach, it's definitely a great spot for ice cream, especially if you're there on a hot day. As you might expect from the name, they are indeed owned by the same folks who own the Ugly Rooster Cafe's. Their menu offers over 25 flavors of soft-serve. If you prefer hard ice cream, 8 flavors of Perry's are also available. Given how small their site currently is, they can't possibly have dispensers for every flavor. So what I believe they do is make smaller batches of a flavor to order and then dispense it into your cone or cup. For the flavor I ordered, Amaretto, you'd never know that might have been how it was made, the flavor and consistency were quite good, and I'd definitely order it again. And for the inevitable comparisons: Flavors - more of them, probably not changing as frequently, see above on how they can have so many available. Flavor was distinct without being overwhelming. Size - You definitely don't get as much for your order. I'm hoping that as they grow as a business, they can be more cost competitive. Consistency - Maybe not quite as dense; on a very hot day, be prepared to lick fast. Still, this is a great add to the ice cream community. And since I'm more likely to be traveling in this area as opposed to going up to Lake George, this is an easy, "Yes, let's go!" for me.

There's benches in front and on the deck in the back. There's also a grass area on the side with benches or room to bring your own chairs. If you're a soft serve fan, there was a long list of soft serve flavors. Only a handful of Perry's hard ice cream. My husband and I shared the "Let's get Ugly" sundae which was a good size to share.
