StillGoode came into my life by recommendation from my grandmother-in-law. A lover of all things consignment, vintage, and retail, I knew I'd be in for a treat when we pulled up and I noticed the size of the shop. Comprised of both the main store and an intake area, StillGoode dominates the shopping strip. Apparently consignment is by appointment only, but this review is not about that process, it's about the fun stuff, furniture shopping! Browsing from aisle to aisle, it was clear that everything was in pretty good shape. While the shop as a whole embraced traditional furniture offerings, I occasionally ran across a few items in other styles (an oversized burl coffee table, boucle accent chairs, and various farmhouse pieces for example). The pricing is pretty competitive, especially if you're willing to overlook a few minor markings of wear and tear. It far more expensive than your Goodwill, or Junior Forum, but less expensive than your inner loop curated consignment boutique, and certain a better value that purchasing new. More than that I appreciate the demeanor of the staff. They're helpful but not at all overbearing. They're friendly and available without hovering. It's a relaxed, low pressure environment that allows the customer to feel comfortable taking their time to make decisions. In addition to carrying high quality furniture they also carry decor, framed artwork, jewelry, and handbags. Did I think a couple of weeks ago I'd be giving StillGoode five stars after my experience as a consignor? Nope. Especially not after my check was "lost in the mail..." But I am - and here's why: 1. My items sold almost immediately. A good quality name brand bed (super fast sale) and some chairs (chairs took longer with one reduction). My stuff was solid and in great condition. 2. I got more money than I could expect elsewhere. Out of all the consignment shops in the area, this one has the best reputation and it lives up to it with its stock (that definitely moves). 3. I believe they operate on integrity. My payout was lost in the mail. Received nothing after over three weeks and was concerned they may not be legit. Was very nervous about it as it was my first time consigning. Turns out the check wasn't properly delivered and was eventually returned to them. They resent it. Some helpful tips for consignors: 1. As a consignor, you pay for delivery for those items you can't bring yourself. I like that they recommended the movers. We paid under $200 for our queen bed and chairs to be moved. Obviously money-wise it's better if you can take the stuff yourself. 2. Want to be part of the auction? So did I. I had a ton of items. But you must call and make an appointment. I suggest you book asap because they book out farther than you might think. Everyone wants to auction items with them! 3. Phone, don't use email to communicate. They receive a lot of email. I think the poor email communication was the reason I was wary about the lost check. Our final calls to Lauren put us at ease. 4. I have read reviews about rude interactions with staff. I dealt with Lauren over the phone who was super helpful and respectful. I had occasion early on to talk with Dennis the owner about the auction process. All good interactions. 5. It's better to physically pick up your check. Trust me!! read more

I have been driving by this place for a few months...thinking about stopping. I finally stopped by and I have already purchased 4 items!!! 2 in the store and 2 from their on-line auction. I love it! But you don't have to come by...more options for me! They have really nice quality furniture and accessories...they are also priced well. I believe consignments are 90 days and they mark the prices on the tags by date (3 different prices)...so you can see if the price is going to drop soon and how much. I picked up an auction item I bid on through this company at another location and decided to pay a visit to the store this past Saturday since it wasn't too far. I was totally amazed at how absolutely beautifully everything was displayed! I have been to many consignment shops and this one is impeccable. There was not one item that one was unable to see a price on or to maneuver around easily. The art is all hung very visually appealling on the wall with smaller pieces in a back room on a moving door display. The rugs are easy to view with an incredible slide out rack. There were many lovely items and then some, that are for another's taste. But, nothing was out of order. Towards the back are sets of China and everyday Dinnerware, Lenox, Villeroy and Boche, Crystal by Waterford , Baccarat and Bohemian Crystal. The glassware and Depression glassware are my weakness, but I had to remember how much I already have and we downsized. A savvy bride would be wise to look for Formal Dinnerware here before registering because she will come out ahead for a fraction of the cost of new and can register for something else instead. Staff often checked with you to see if they could help you find an item which I appreciated. Lighting was actually hung up so you could see it, not just sat on a shelf. I will be stopping in regularly from now on and on a side note the chair I bought at the auction was adorable for what I wanted it for. Very nice shopping experience. read more

Find hidden treasures at this consignment shop and enjoy some good conversation with the employees there. Recently bought a bench there that fit perfectly with what i was looking for. Got some good ideas too for future purchases too. Advice would be if it is something you can't live without, be sure to buy it then and not wait for the price to drop. It isn't like you can order these finds on line. You will need to organize your own transportation for getting it to your home. Let's see, what shall I have today? Will I spot a figurine that strikes my fancy? Or a piece of Waterford crystal that replaces the stem that I broke a while back (and the pattern's been discontinued)? Or will I stumble upon an antique Victorian ladies rocking chair in beautiful condition? Perhaps an end table. Or a lamp. Or a corner curio cabinet that is precisely what I've been wanting to buy but didn't want to spend nearly $2000 for brand new. Such are the questions and the images that run through my mind (and are presented before my eyes) when I walk through the doors of StillGoode. Every time I enter the store, it's an adventure of new merchandise. Beautifully presented and staged with items in superb condition, I feel as if I'm on a treasure hunt. Some of the furnishings are newer (if not almost brand new); many of the items are antiques and from the 30's and 40's. Complete sets of china (Noritake, Royal Doulton, Lenox, to name a few); Lladro figurines, Waterford, a variety of the most unique clocks (key-wound mantle and regulator as well as newer battery-operated versions) as well as grandfather and grandmother clocks constructed of different wood types, wooden bed frames, dining room tables and chairs, breakfronts . . . There's so much! A new section has been added recently: "The Man Cave." This area contains all sorts of old signage and "guy stuff." Cool. Prices are beyond reasonable. I've purchased a variety of items here and absolutely love every one of them. Two things people should know, however, about StillGoode: if you do see something you like, BUY IT. It may not be there tomorrow, or even an hour from now. I learned that the hard way. And, if you do buy furniture from them, you will have to bring it home yourself. StillGoode will pack/wrap it well for you (we purchased a Kincaid corner curio cabinet from them at a steal-of-a-deal price), but luckily we had a pick up truck available to help us get it home. read more

I thought this place was going to be overpriced, but it is very reasonable. Extremely organized! I bought a large silver dish, a vanity plate to hold perfumes, wall decorations, and some other things. I went with my sister-n-law who also had some great buys. They have a lot of furniture, and the staff was very nice and helpful. I will be going back!! read more

I found this place last year while updating home in the Houston memorial park area! I have zero complaints! Yes the selection isn't great everyday but that is because they are constantly renewing the furniture. I have never felt unwelcome here. These reviews of the owners being RUDE is absolutely true. I was in the store having a personal discussion with my mother about a mirror they had for sale. which was highly overpriced compared to a mirror she purchased elsewhere which was a exact duplicate. when the owner was eavesdropping on our conversation and rudely interrupted into our conversation in an upset and rude manner as well as her husband adding his snotty two cents!! Lady and Gent,get real mind your own damn business this is an A & B conversation so C yourself out the damn way!!! This family needs to respect there shoppers opinions and just take care of customer needs and allow customers to enjoy there shopping experience! Totally disappointed in this place and their employee "Jana", who may even be the owner which is even more awful. My husband was trying to purchase a sofa for me online and was calling to confirm we could pick it up in a few days after we purchased the sofa. My husband called me to tell me what the woman said on the phone and was calling back to let them know we were buying it online and the woman told my husband "sorry, someone here just bought it". We were told that if an item was already in our shopping cart online that the item cannot be sold out from under us in the store. This Jana character already knew we were purchasing the sofa and sold it to a customer out from under us. SO DISGUSTED with the way it was handled. Her only reply was "What else do you want me to do about it?" Obviously we would have liked her to do the right thing and not have done such a rude thing. She lost customers for sure over this incident. We will never again be taking our business there. Why even have items online on your website if you're going to do business this way? Very unprofessional business. There's lots of other consignment shops who are WAY better, nicer and would never conduct business this way. Good luck! read more

Sales staff is friendly, but not over bearing. The store has a broad selection of pieces in good condition, and at reasonable prices. Their website makes it easy to see new inventory in advance and then drop by the store and see them in person. Will definitely be back to see what they have in stock next time! read more

I was ready to purchase 2 items but could not get any customer service so we decided to leave and go elsewhere with better customer service. Giving 5 stars for a very friendly, and surprisingly extremely organized consignment shop, but 1-2 stars for the selection. Before I start my review, I would also like to recognize the cleanliness of the store and furniture, and note that there is not an old smell that you usually recognize in a used furniture store... they either are very selective and/or clean every item that comes in, which says a lot about the business owners which is amazing. The furniture is stuck somewhere in between modern and antique. A good portion of the styles are from early 2000s/late 90s, and unless you are needing a traditional dining room set or crystal decorative piece, then you may not find what you need. Mind you, there is a specific clientele for every store, and maybe a 30 year old is just not it. A lot of the larger items were priced $1000+ which is difficult to swallow and hard to pay that for something that is not on trend or not a classic antique. Additionally, I recognized a framed artwork from Target listed at $50, which I had in my college apartment and purchased new for about $40. On the other hand, I do understand that there are some great solid wood pieces in this store that are properly priced. An opinion coming from the 30 year old generation: if this store did a clean out of their items, and started fresh with more on trend pieces, great things could happen! Like I said, the store layout is such a blessing compared to other consignment shops, and the employees are super sweet... my husband and I would just like to see more updated pieces! We did have a fun time exploring the store and understand with consignment things are always coming and going. We may have to pop in a again in a few months. read more
