Many pavers are cracked, have chunks missing from them and/or are missing. The entry one side has a brick missing from it and no cement poured for that brick, and the entry on the other side has several hugely flawed pavers. It almost looks like they used factory seconds for the project. There are also issues with the snub nosed bricks cemented in around the pool, with cracks and chunks missing. Again it looks like they used factory seconds. Worst of all they have not been responsive in getting us a firm date to make repairs. They said they we coming on a Friday recently to make repair, but never showed, called to tell us they were not coming, or called to reschedule. we have not heard from them for 10 days since they missed their appointment. In short, they just don't seem to care. I would be very careful contracting with them to build a pool. I hope someday soon I will be able to give them a better rating

I have some plans drawn up but they aren't complete and where they might be complete they're more than I'm doing and so I'm not ready to have those submitted. The bottom line for me is that if I was going to go through that whole process myself, I would build my own pool. It would be immensely cheaper I'm sure. Rick was a nice guy but I'm sure he and the company have a lot going on so my business wasn't crucial. Anyway, I recommend finding a company to actually help you in the process and not make it harder. This might be too much to ask at this point in time as the companies are all very busy, however, some better service is definitely preferable. As I have other companies willing to work and do the work, I will be going with them.

It was still under warranty, but it took me weeks of texts, emails, and phone calls, before Pentair finally sent a local company out to look at the pump. Cody, from Pine Ridge Pool Care, Inc came out to look at it. He immediately noticed the issue. Pentair company had installed a refurbished unit that looked like it didn't go through inspection. Cody said he'll check with them before sending the parts that works. The 'drive' was ordered the following week, and Jonathan from Pine Ridge Pool Care came out to change the broken drive. He showed us the drive that was totally mangled. Pine Ridge Pool Care, Inc. saved the pump, and the day. I appreciate the attention and I also appreciate the Yelp. Apparently, nobody will return your calls unless you put some reviews on Yelp. However, I wish the owner of Emerald pool would have better communications. The team went through a 110-volt line in the backyard during the project. I begged him many times to at least find the problem. Finally, two electricians spent 8 hours and 2000$ to solve the problem.

Attached is a picture of how our pool looked BEFORE their service. Next follows AFTER we took on their service. You can clearly see they did not maintain our pool well and did not provide us with any communication whatsoever. On top of that, they still want to charge us FULL price for their service even though, clearly they did not fulfill their duties. Our pool is now green and developing black algae. We had to hire someone else for this diagnosis because we have 2 children under the age of 4 who cannot enjoy a swim during this heat we have been having in the Central Valley. Their pool technician goes out every week to service the pool, how can our pool be turning green and how can they fail to communicate with us about why this may be happening? There seems to be no form of customer value or satisfaction within their company. I wish we could resolve this issue, but they did not bother to ask us why we no longer wanted their services, they were quick to collect a payment from us, rather than showing us that they care about having us as their customers. Truly disappointing.

Just like purchasing a house, we went through several different emotions; anxiety, confusion, excitement, fear, nervousness, and absolutely stressed-out. After going over the beginning to the end of this six-month long project, I decided to break the work done by the pool company's in-house crew and average the points for this review. Our 31' X 10' swimming pool took 6-months to complete. The entire six months were filled with stress and anxiety, and we nearly called off the built. Our pool is now completed - in time for the cold season. Our spa return line was CAPPED OFF and the booster pump inlet was incorrectly plumbed causing our spa to drain every time it was used. Now they are being fixed by a reputable company, and we are finally looking forward to enjoying our pool and spa issue-free. Don't trust Freedom pools poor quality work with with any project you want done correctly.

The guy (Will) came out and was so enthusiastic that he made it sound like it would be an easy job to finish since, as he said, half the work was done. He called his boss (Darin) to tell the news, and then they talked pricing. He then got off the phone trying to sell me the news that this was going to be a large savings, but when it got down to the estimate, it was only a $55 savings from the entire cost of the first company. I pointed that out and then showed him the estimate and price of his competitor, as asked. He realized then that he should have cut back on his commission because I knew I was being taken advantage of. He tried sliding the price back, but by this point, I felt zero trust or confidence in their job or integrity.
